  1. She could have been a star on our team anytime between Colt and Sam.
  2. what are they going to do after we break it off in Gorgia`s ass? Just to follow it up next year with a pounding of LSU...
  3. Wasn't he their only 5*? That's gonna leave a mark. On a different note, if the SEC thinks aggy reaction is over the top with this win, wait until they beat Alabama again and aggy acts like the all time series is dead even and it`s the top rivalry in the SEC.
  4. Jesus, that last throw was 65+ yards. He would be a beast on Sterlings offense.
  5. That was a nice throw down the field at like 3:15:30... It gets there in a hurry.
  6. they will trademark this 70 yrs from now.
  7. To bathe in aggy tears for three straight years...
  8. If WSU wins out and doesn't make the playoffs, it will be disastrous for them. It will be the second time they've been skipped, and it was a big issue for them... Don't forget, we got skipped once and added a championship because of it. They will have a meltdown a second time around.
  9. .I could live with WSU winning it all this year... Especially if they hang 70 on the first SEC (Alabama) team and 80 on the second (LSU).
  10. Anyone know what's the official explanation why the aggy in the background has his arm down someone's pants?
  11. What the hell... I say we target USC and UCLA. Might as well go after Penn St as a traveling partner for WVU. It's not like they really fit in there. Plus it would be a good reason to bring back pedobear. And Mike Leach... Wherever he's coaching, they're in until he leaves.
  12. Why add anyone. Just sit here quietly doing our thing. There is a cancer slowly eating away at the PAC 12. It's the same cancer we watched eat away at Nebraska. And unless they can pull an extra 10 to 15 million per school out of their asses "over night" to close the gap on the SEC, BIG10, B12, this cancer is the deadly kind Wait until after the ACC Network launches next year and the numbers come in at year end... It will be the death blow.. USC and UCLA have had their foot out the door since the mid '70 when they almost lost it over the addition of the 'zona schools. They were not happy when equal distribution was shoved down their throats. They were not happy turning over their left but to the fail PAC-Network. They haven't been happy in awhile.
  13. Since I'm on the realignment thread, here are some articles I've come across I've found pretty interesting...This first I'm throwing in here...It's an article on a SEC/ACC site that's probably the most accurate summary of the demise of both the SWC and (almost) the B12....http://www.southernpigskin.com/archives/did-texas-murder-2-conferences/I found it interesting how a non Longhorn, non B12 site could do what the National Sports Journalist wouldn't do. Put the facts out there....That led me to this article... Another example of what is the lost art of Professional Journalism...https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1990/07/02/changing-times-conference-realignment-could-reshape-college-athletics/9b62a261-caf4-4ba5-913f-03436bb1610b/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.c90ce8b34c59He covers realignment without siting "inside sources". He nails 95% of the things he writes about, without it being a bunch of shit he throws against the wall hopinh it sticks. Most of what he doesn't get correct is likely from not having the entire view of the painting... The rest of what he misses is because things change.... Subscribe for $1Send me this offer×CHANGING TIMES CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT COULD RESHAPE COLLEGE ATHLETICSBy Mark Maske. ((EXCERPTS FROM ARTICLE WRITTEN JULY 2ND 1990))This summer may see the groundwork laid for rampant additions, defections and mergers that could test the structural boundaries of Division I-A, as the nation's elite schools and conferences scurry to establish regional strangleholds in anticipation of megabucks television contracts. The eventual result could be the disintegration of several existing conferences, the affiliation of most independents and the emergence of three or four "superconferences" with two divisions and 12 to 16 schools apiece -- a transformation many see as the first step toward creating a college football playoff system. What finally could emerge are an Atlantic Coast Conference stretching from the Northeast to Florida; a Big Ten that might have further holdings in the Northeast or from the current Big (Nebraska, most prominently); a Southeastern Conference sprawling westward into Texas and one or two more Florida teams among its Atlantic entries; and a revised Pacific-10 picking up what it can in the West (Colorado, Brigham Young and Air Force, among others). ((It ended up being Utah instead of BYU and they stopped their hoping to land Texas and gang instead of going to 14-16))Oklahoma has entertained notions about jumping from the Big Eight to the Southwest Conference -- a move that could become moot if, as some close to this process insist, the Big Eight and SWC eventually are left with no choice but to combine. ((Interesting prediction))An on-again, off-again Eastern Seaboard Conference for football composed of independents and Big East schools needing a football-only league may yet arise. The dominoes are lined up, waiting for a nudge to send them falling. "Any time you start discussing these things, people get nervous and the discussion kind of feeds off itself," said Nebraska chancellor and interim president Martin Massengale, who stressed his school has had no official contact with the Big Ten but whose athletic director, Bob Devaney, has written an informal letter of inquiry to the conference. ((Probably why OU was looking at joining the SWC))"We've studied the TV situation carefully," said University of Mississippi President Gerald Turner, chairman of the SEC's expansion committee, "and we've concluded that our interests may be best served by operating on the assumption we'll negotiate for ourselves in the future. . . . The first step in that direction is minimizing the force of competing conferences within our geographic area."The SEC is pursuing Arkansas, Texas and Texas A&M of the SWC, plus football independents Florida State, South Carolina and Miami. ((There are some articles from 1990 that have Texas and Arkansas as the targets, the entire SWC footprint, while others have SEC officials quoted saying if Texas and Texas A&M aren't interested then they would be happy to take Arkansas.)) (((But all the articles around this time agree that all three were SEC bound. I'm not sure if The reporters were getting their information from an overly excited aggy and assumed it was a done deal, or if Texas was headed to the SEC but something went south. Or if Texas was saying yeah, but stalling trying to salvage the SWC...))) The SWC is trying to cut its potential losses by luring Oklahoma. ((I'm fairly certain OU was not showing enough interest in jumping into a -Texas, -Texas A&M -Arkansas SWC for multiple sources to cover it as such which points to Texas really not interested in the SEC and the likely true birth of Deloss' BIG 12.))The ACC -- which voted against expansion earlier this year but has reconsidered -- presents a wait-and-see stance, but league officials contend privately that Florida State will turn down the SEC because it doesn't want to be in the same conference with Florida, which allegedly once fostered an SEC blackballing of the Seminoles. The ACC, if properly motivated, could go after Florida State, Miami, Syracuse, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia, Virginia Tech or even former member South Carolina. Conference officials insist they can stand pat as long as the Big Ten and Pac-10 are willing to unite with the ACC in TV negotiations. But now the league's newest member, Georgia Tech, has opened itself to an offer from the SEC.ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCEMembers Clemson Duke Georgia Tech Maryland North Carolina North Carolina State Virginia Wake ForestPossible Defections Georgia TechCandidates Boston College Florida State Miami Pittsburgh Rutgers South Carolina Syracuse Virginia Tech West Virginia SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCEMembers Alabama Auburn Florida Georgia Kentucky Louisiana State Mississippi Mississippi State Tennessee VanderbiltCandidates Arkansas Florida State Miami South Carolina Texas Texas A&MSOUTHWEST CONFERENCEMembers Arkansas Baylor Houston Rice SMU Texas Texas A&M Texas Christian Texas TechPossible Defections Arkansas Texas Texas A&MCandidates Oklahoma BIG TEN CONFERENCEMembers Illinois Indiana Iowa Michigan Michigan State Minnesota Northwestern Ohio State Purdue WisconsinAdditions Penn StateCandidates Nebraska Syracuse Rutgers Pittsburgh PACIFIC-10 CONFERENCEMembers Arizona Arizona State California Oregon Oregon State Southern Cal Stanford UCLA Washington Washington StateCandidates Brigham Young Air Force ColoradoNot bad for an article written about realignment in 1990... 14. This.... There is a reason a HUGE school like cougar high got left behind and we went with Baylor, Tech and then TCU. Houston market or not, no matter how well they are doing, they don't get much local support. Houston is a Pro Sports hotbed. UH would need a Alabama type run to even begin to build a fanbase. But even then, the first hiccup, and their fanbase tanks. Their ex-AD understood why they were left behind. https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sports/college/amp/The-Big-12-with-a-history-of-power-struggles-and-9971434.php Article from 8/90 http://articles.latimes.com/1990-08-27/sports/sp-73_1_southwest-conference. 15. He takes Alabama vs LSU... With the run Alabama has had, most casual fans will watch the Alabama vs a real threat to beat them over a barely top 10 Texas vs a mid top 10 OU... Especially since Texas has not been a name they've heard associated with anything positive in 10 plus years.... How do the numbers look say compared to a Georgia vs KU, or aggy vs Auburn? Let Texas get back to being a top 5 or higher team a few years in a row with and talked about as a legit team to to take it all with 90% of its games on espn/ABC those numbers will come closer to resembling the Texas/ND numbers week in and week out. There are plenty of casual fans that know the Texas name and are UT friendly just based on VY shoving both USC and Bush up ESPNs ass. But it's sucks as a UT faithful to watch years of misery played out weekly and not even slightly entertaining for the casual fan to watch a longhorns team that rarely sniffed the top 25 or even shitty bowl games for years... But let Texas have a few years of being a legit threat with two or three playoff appearance and Alabama continue it's current pace, come the Alabama series, as long as both teams are highly ranked, I'll bet the numbers breaks records. Texas just needs to do its part. We have the upcoming schedules to put us back up towards the top of National Draws. I am curious how the numbers this year compare to comparable games in the other (non overy ESPN hyped SEC) conferences. I do love how everyone wants to compare us to Alabama and not to the teams that have been playing more our level for years... Michigan, Florida. USC, Penn St....
  16. AGGY ... Clemson. NOTE: 4 Years ago aggy dropped their Oregon series (not mutual) in favor of a Clemson one. Oregon had just come off its appearance in the Championship game while Clemson was far from looking like world beaters, and aggy still riding the "we beat Bama" once and the JFF glory year high, really believed this was going to be a cake type win... Should have stuck with Oregon. Lol The Big East. The only conference with a winning percentage vs the SEC... GONE. The B12 second best record vs the SEC.... Barely survived TWO assassination attempts... The SWC third best record vs the SEC... GONE. I wonder what the SWC and the B12 records vs the SEC would be without the aggy many losses and minimal wins factored in. The SWC... Home of the one and only Death Sentence ever passed down. SMU deserved punishment, but the Death Blow was exactly that... DEATH. It was too harsh to hit SMU with seeing there were multiple programs (some in the SWC, several in other conferences) that should have been nailed also.
  17. It's great seeing the love we are getting out of the PAC recruits. Landing Bru could be huge for next year's class. With the PAC down across the board, he could be key in pulling some top talent from the West Coast.
  18. It would be more than entertaining if they lost Green to LSU and we plucked one or two of their top recruits. That just might get Jumbo Frenchie linched in collie town. Especially if we jump them soundly in class rankings. Half that fan base has big time buyers remorse. Funny that we have almost as many SEC recruits (non Texas) as they do. I also expected them to have more Florida recruits as long as JF was at FSU.
  19. .Fun fact about Mike Leach. When the Pirate isn't eating, breathing, shitting football 24/7. Or off writing about Geronimo, (he is obsessively into History), what few people know about Leach is that he loves to fish. Salt water mainly... Open water especially. (does love the speckled trout and Red Fish bay action) Off shore marlin and tuna is his favorite. There is a very selective private charter that exclusively (but not set in stone) works a couple of months out of Cancun, and the TIFT tourney and the TWAT tourney. Outside of those windows it's a very rare occasion for it to accept a charter. ( it has fished other tournaments and private charters over the years from Texas to North Carolina, but those are few and far between. The boat is owned by an individual in New Orleans and Chartered out of New Orleans (might be Dallas instead, I can't remember), but the boat itself picks up the clients out of Corpus or Padre. With a rare New Orleans or Houston/Galveston thrown in. Outside of it's short three month charter season, the boat is docked in Port Mansfield until winter tjen it's dry docked in Corpus... When Tech wined and dined Bobby Knight, it was one of those rare occasions the boat took a detour from it's norm... Mike Leach likes keeping a low profile. Not that he minds people recongizing him and wanting the usual hand shake, but the local media makes it hard to kick back and have a few for as long as you want. In a little town named Port Mansfield, which sits off the beaten path, yet about as quick and easy to get to compared to anywhere in Texas if you are flying from Lubbock and renting a car. In Port Mansield, one could kick back in it's little bar without much fuss no matter who you are. In a place where 20 people is a busy night, you don't have to give interviews or constantly have to humor new arrivals who drop by to say hi But Leach wasn't there for the bar. The 1500 pop town has a captian who has 24/7 access to a luxury fishing vessel which is his to use as his own when it isn't on charter. This captain also owns a sweet shallow runner bay boat... If i remember right, Leach's first time on this one specific boat happened right before or just after he had taken the OU job. Even though this charter is discrete a la VEGA STYLE, in little town Texas, nothing goes unknown. My sister has lived there for decades... Soon after he hit Lubbock, he made a couple of failed attempts to book a last second Charter the boat with no luck... But being a name any college football fan would know, the boat owner called the captian to see if he was interested in taking out the future pirate on a spur if the moment kinda deal. The captian said no problem and for Leach to call direct. The captain was told to charge Leach whatever he wanted because it was his money, his deal... Months later, Leach called (this time in advance) to book a spring trip. But the boat would be in cancun during that timeframe, but was given the captain's number so they could figure something out. The boat was already dry docked but the captain invited Leach down to do some floundering (gigging) on his commercial license. Leach took him up on the offer and spent a little time Leach fished with the captain at least once each year the entire time he was at Tech. This became a friendship.. Or it was more like a bromance between a Pirate and an aggy. A t-shirt aggy to boot. This bromance is what led to a crowned knight Bobby Knight Being pampered with a very expensive off schedule blue marlin charter. I never met Leach. I was in Lubbock his entire time. I met many Tech personas but Leach wasn't one. I do however know the captain aggy well enough that he used to email me pictures of his little Longhorn flag hanging upside down when OU would win and also the few occasions aggy did. But he isn't that bad. He does fly the longhorn flag above the aggy flag whenever we beat them or OU. He loves college ball and appreciates good players and plays no matter the colors. He can also dish it out after a loss. He's a t-shirt 2% that has a (great) sense of humor. Then the emails stopped, but only because text massaging became the thing... They still fish from time to time. Now i just need for one of the Tech guys that knows the courting of knight to validate this. The courting of knight is something that few know about, but i bet there is a Tceh boy that knows this is true, if not, I bet one of them can find someone on their boards that can confirm this to be true... I'm also curious if what took place on the USS Minnow's not so maiden voyage. It's something I'm not sure made it to many off boat, a Tech peep would have to chime in if anything was ever said about. What i can only describe as the Ballad of: The Pirate The Knight The Aggy TCEH And the Wigs Note: i didn't bother doing research to make sure everything's 100% factual. This is shit that took place 20 years ago that I've pulled from memory... It isnt like im writing this up for some grade. To the idiot who thinks he knows all about the Air Raid and what was Leach's mentality... You know nothing... You are so far off.. Cute though. Fuck off with your dumb cunt shit. O the ass hat that thinks he knows Briles offense... Im not breaking down plays for you i said what i THINK plain and simple. If you can't see Leach's dna all over Briles shit, then i can't help you.. Let some Tceh alumn validate this post. Then we will go from there...
  20. You know, I've never heard of anyone spotting Leach in a bar writing about Geronimo on napkins. Or at B12 meetings writing about Geronimo on the back of paper plates. Nor have i heard of sports writers finally getting an informal sitdown with Leach in his office where he's burning the midnight oil with a couple of other coaches writing pages about Geronimo. I can't recall any coach had Leach hand him some notes about Geronimo to improve a dissertation for their quarterback.... But I do know he loves to talk football especially the drunker he gets. He loves to innovate concepts and disguss the feasibility of it working or ways to improve upon old ones. He hasn't been shy about liking a play someone unvails for first time and making some slight variations he sees as ways to get more out of it and gives it to the coach. And it damn sure wasn't papers about Geronimo he successfully trolled the Texas DC with... I look over there a Leach and it pisses me off, and not over a co-book (btw i didn't mean he eats breaths shits football 24/7 in a literal kind of way, dill hole.) But because we spent a decade in qb purgatory and there's Leach over there with his "i don't care who plays qb, just pick straws" approach. We're Texas quite literally. Inside the talent rich state of Texas and couldn't find a qb who could hit a receiver standing still 20 yards away. We recruited some real barn burners, but for the love of god, did anyone actually see them catch a ball? I swear we've had some that had their hands amputated. The precious few times the ball did hit them in stride, it would either go right through where their hands should be, or bounce off of what could only have been stubs. Leach's receivers came in all shapes and sizes. The only thing they had in common was they didn't focus on short distant races... And they could catch the fucking ball... And they could find areas in the D with nothing but grass around them... And they could block really well for anyone with the ball... Yes Leach's Oline were usually big boys... Made up of a bunch of left behinds by the every BIG program in the country... We have suffered on the oline for longer than we've suffered at the qb spot. And it's been painful everytime we have one worth a shit graduates. But Leach's line keeps his qbs putting up yards. Business as usual. We've all sat there watching the game and at sometime are thankful his qbs don't take off. Because there's nothing but thirty yards green if he decided to moonwalk through the gaps. We are thankful Joe Kidd qb graduated last year just to sit there asking where the fuck did this kid come from after your pretty good secondary just got lit up once again for 400 yards through the air. Yes I'm aware the Air Raid was joint effort too... Just like Geronimo. But please enlighten me of the origins... Do you not know there is a pecking order even for schools like iowa Wesleyan and Valdosta State? There used to be a pretty nasty pecking order for talent in Texas HS football. If you are playing organized football there is a pecking order. There's always "those that have" and the "have nots"... But please do share your wisdom..
  21. We are going to win them all... (...that we don't lose) We will not lose a single game... (...That we win) I'm hoping this loss cut deep when they watched the tape. Hopefully they see the shit show they put on for the entire nation (and world) to see and it embarrassed them... Then maybe it will drive them off enough to pull their heads out of their ass and start playing to their potential instead of the other team's. I'll have some koolaid and go with it had a profound affect that leads to some deep soul searching as a team who squandered a season that would have been a playoff berth if they had played each game with the intensity they played the first 3 quarters against OU. It has the positive effect of pissing this team off and they put their foot on the pedal and don't let up until after the B12 title is theirs and they have wrecked whichever poor SEC soul gets offered up to appease an angry longhorn We finish it!
  22. A. .Just because ESPN bitches abouy his offense being a plug and play gimmick so his qbs suck in the nfl doesn't mean it a bad thing. There are 129 other coaches in college (including Saban) and countless in HS that wish they had a plug and play offense. They all would sell their wives into prostitution if they could take a 2* HS qb nobody wanted and have him torching the field like a 4 year starter the first time they take the field, in a system that not only centers around the qb, but is meant to be called at the line 75% of the time. Let that sink in... Leach literally 12th man's qbs as if it's an afterthought like other coaches assign water boys. We wonder lost in the wilderness for years and Leach picks them as if he were picking fruit at Walmart. He won a Hiesman at Kentucky with Couch and a #1 draft pick. 1999 at OU working with Heupel (who Leach brought in) was the Hiesman runner up in 2000. His tech qbs led the 8 out of 9 years he was there. They set several ncaa records like Most yards. Most completions (twice) Largest comeback. FUCK YOU Shawn Twatson the quarterback Whisperer my ASS... Leach takes the average joe kidd that's no smarter than any other qbs out there and makes precision bombers out of them. His recievers run good routes. Rjey also catch the ball. His RBs block really well and are good at picking up blitzes. They catch really well coming out of the backfield. His linemen always give the qbs time. But the most impressive thing is that his teams never drop off when his seniors graduate. His offense keeps going without missing a beat. His player/coaching tree is solid as fuck. HCs and OCs that are regarded by most as successful coaches. They all run Leach's Air Raid with more running back. A lot of their running plays look like something Leach would draw up. They feature multiple backs, 2 TEs. I think he has helped those coaches develop a their signature running scheme to keep fans happy with the young coaches so they could succeed. He is always talking football. Always drawing up plays. Tweaked plays for other coaches. Sitting in bars drawing plays on napkins. Sitting in B12 meetings drawimg up plays on paper plates. Giving late night interviews while drawing up plays with a couple of assistants. He's always talking football. Take a look at Briles Offense... That has Leach's fingerprints all over it... Both are designed around the philosophy of stretching the defense as far wide and deep until they leave gaps and then -Air Raid-dump the ball short and let the reciever/back run into the gaps vacated by the secondary being ran deep. -Veer and Shoot-let the running backs carry the ball into the gaps left by the secondary being ran deep. They both are designed to work with a pocket (pro style) passer and not a dual threat. Yes i know RGIII... He was a freak that could have succeeded in a Twatson offense. The concept for is to get as many defenders as possible away from the line of scrimmage. Easier done with a non run threat qb. That's why Buechel/Foreman produced 2000k yards on the ground on a shitty Texas team. I'm not saying Leach handed Briles a Veer and Shoot playbook one day. But Leach spent quite a bit of time grooming his young assistants to succeed as coaches later on. He's loyal to the ones he brings into coaching. Briles was already an experienced HS coach well known for bringing the spread to Texas, and being closer to Leach's age, they spent a lot of time talking football (Leach's only subject). I would lay odds on the V-S being a joint project between the two. I can't prove it, but it has the same "Controlled Chaos" feel at the snap of the A-R in the play design, it looks like the missing "Running Plays" section from Leach's master playbook, if Leach ever decided to add such a section to the Air Raid. There are things in the Veer and Shoot that could only come from a Pirate's crazy genius. Both the AR and VS were taylor made for a qb like Colt. Not a qb who looked for a reason to run. He was always pass first. But could gouge the shit out of you when he did take off. Leach probably has 3 or 4 new offenses laying around. It's funny how everyone wants to debate whether or not his Air Raid could work at Tier One school because of the demands it makes on the defense... I don't remember a lot of Tech's defenses getting gassed. It just wasn't a word commonly associated with Tech. And the few times i can remember attrition setting in on that D was when we had some big nasties on the line and punishing backs. Those teams gassed everyone. I'm not sure questioning if the AR could work at a Top School is even the right question. I not sure why everyone assumes Leach couldn't draw up running plays to begin with. Personally, i have no doubt he has a playbook of nothing but running plays as thick as his passing AR one (Tech's Leach Playbook was almost 1,000 pages compared to most rarely break 200). But to use Leach's own philosophy, "do something you are good at 100% of the time instead of 50%-60% of the time". "Keep doing it until someone stops you and you can't continue doing it". "If that happens, your not good at it anymore". "Why change what you're doing if no one stops you?" Leach attended BYU where he graduated law school, but he didn't play ball there. He didn't play ball in college, only HS football in Wyoming. He developed the the AR off the West Coast Offense BYU was running while he attended. The WHY behind the Air Raid is the thing nobody talks about, but is the biggest insight into the genius of Mike 'the pirate' Leach. Everyone knows Leach's coaching history or can find it. It was those early stops that raised the question of how to do more with less. How to be competitive against bigger schools (the Jones) And how to do it without relying continuously on getting the above average talent (that any of the Jones' above you are going to take anyways). The AR was not developed to win championships. It was developed by a genius pirate who loved the sport and was given a chance to coach. Where is the fun in playing or coaching if you're not winning? How do you compete against talent heavy teams with ordinary players? How did David slay Goliath? He hit one of his 5 brothers between the numbers with a football. How do you compete against giants when you have no idea what type of skills your going to get each class out of the leftovers. Running backs need some skill and speed plus it's asking a lot for your linemen to move someone they give up 100 lbs to on a continuous basis. No need to count on running to compete with giants... In fact the backs will probably need to soend most of their time blocking if we don't want to get our usual half pint, noodle arm killed. Genius to design an offense that (back then) unstacked the box and moved everyone away from the line of scrimmage. It probably saved a lot of qb lives on little teams. Run everyone away and hit your backs short (because even weak arms can throw 10 yards). Small linemen only have to get in the way of someone and not move them. More with less (or nothing). I'm curious if he engineered a plug and play around More with Take Your Pick -and want another or two?- It's easy to see how Leach, loving to scheme, tweak plays. Create new plays. Would look back at his Air Raid and spot exactly how he could have went with a system based on the run. You do it all the same as the Air Raid, but instead of short passes into vast green spaces, you just run it instead and call it the Veer and Shoot. But once your Masterpiece is complete, you mothball it until needed. No reason to keep your secondary offense either, but really curious if it would really work. Your young ex-players now assistant coaches you've been geooming will have a hard enough time installing a new offense they know in and out somewhere else someday. And it would end a young career before it started if it's a bust... But an experienced coach, one who has some experience with the Wishbone AND experience in installing a new offense that he had no prior experience with. "Hey buddy Briles," i wonder if it would work if we stopped throwing the ball.. Do you think it help putting the wide outs as far as possible? Merry Christmas, if you want it. It's probably the reason Briles is so secretive with his playbook. It has Leach all over it. So the question to me is, can Leach take advantage of all the extra perks at a Tier 1 school and bring home championships? I think he can. And i have a feeling we will find out soon enough. He's in great shape to take over the PAC with the big names down right now. WSU could easily become the next Oregon. But i doubt he will be there that long. If they finish strong (doesn't have to beat Washington), ir could happen this offseason. If not, another good season next year and someone will bite. He is a proven winner everywhere he goes. The dumbest thing Tech ever did... The way we tanked and are still trying to recover, and OU not looking very OUish a few years here and there, he might have been able to put them in the big game. Tceh winning the big one while aggy still the sleeping in the SEC, would've been epic.
  23. I've always found it comical as hell. Especially when neither of the two teams playing are in the B12. I'll give OU a pass. It's the only signal they know. I can imagine the confusion of casual fans, sitting in sports bars across the country trying to figure out why both teams keep doing the horns down. It's even funnier when you think about how obsessed some schools are wirh the horns down every chance they get on tv. I wonder how many eyes they have sent our way wanting to see what obsession is all about. Hell they may have even increased our fan base. For the causual fan, this year would be awesome to follow. We have played some wild games all year long. For the Longhorn faithful, this year has reduced many expiration dates a few years.
  24. I would give both of derka's nuts to see WSU make the playoffs. I would give his entire little stumpy with pebbles for WSU to take it all going through both SEC teams in the process. I could bathe in aggy misery the entire offseason.
  25. He sold himself out several times last night... Right out of play. Leading tackler in last night's shit show isn't anything to hang a hat on. If he would hit somebody... Anybody... He could be incredible. But he charges like a bull, a blind bull oops quoted wrong post. It was meant for the one you quoted.
