  1. Can we get back on the rails for the Ewers thread. Some little tangents here and there that have to do with Quinn are fine, but we keep getting way too far off the rails into other topics that have threads.
  2. bruh, I'll straight up ban your ass if you keep talking shit to me about stuff that I'm just here doing. Ztejas offered to pay and you declined reasonable methods and didn't reach out then you bitched at me in DM's. Legit go fuck yourself and don't drag me into your fucking drama with another poster.
  3. I'm rooting for OT that doesn't end until the Playoffs start so the committee just leaves both teams out. I share this sentiment, but there is room for debate here IMO.
  4. you root for EVERY scenario that has Texas in on that chart, this one is just the "most fun one" IMHO
  5. that's unfortunately not how it works in the real world, although based on merit this is the correct stance.
  6. This is actually debatable though, Texas going in over Oregon is not. That was my point earlier in the thread.
  7. A lot, because Georgia hasn't lost a game in so long it's actually a bit absurd.
  8. A Texas Michigan National Championship with a rematch next season? What more could you actually want as a CFB fan? Redemption against alabama in a rematch for the ages to correct the timeline? Revenge for the bowl loss to Washington and sark win a semi game against his old team? This is a Texas fan's dream Playoff scenario, who gives a fuck about the Oregon ducks - I'd rather play Washigton. Obviously the first thing we root for is Texas getting in, I'm saying this is the ideal "holy fuck that's awesome" playoff scenario for a Texas fan.
  9. Someone edit this to show me how Texas makes the playoff without Oregon with an Oregon win in the P12CCG.
  10. This is the correct scenario for everyone to be rooting for.
  11. so this is what was pissing me off earlier because people are conflating a few things that aren't necessarily true and I was rightfully flamed for this because I was arguing a different argument (specifically against Oregon v Texas getting in) Pac12 winner is in (committee fuckery, but whatever it's a known thing) <-- This is where people are trying to debate, but it makes no sense at all for THIS SPECIFIC COMMITTEE to not put one of these 2 teams in. Leaving FSU out is easier than not putting one of them in. MICH B1G winner is in with win, which is more of a rubber stamp than anything anyway <-- You lose to the worst offense in the NCAA you don't get to play with the big boys. Won't happen, but needs to be said. FSU ACC winner is most likely in with win, but it's not certain because they are so dogshit and played a joke of a schedule and don't have their MVP. <-- This cleans up a lot of the debate and only makes FSU big mad, but who cares fuck them. SEC winner in with GA win, questionable with Alabama win because of H2H with Texas. <-- This is where the real debate lies, do you ignore the H2H and if so, why? I think the thread has gotten to the debate that matters now instead of "OMFG OREGON AND tOSU AHEAD OF TEXAS LGKNBOLIKHNEQWOPINHLSBHJZ"
  12. I think we are finally on common ground, but this is a chaos scenario that doesn’t really have much to do with Oregon or Texas as much as it does Bama Texas. I know better than to think the CFP committee drops Oregon and takes Texas Bama over them. lol
  13. I still haven’t seen a scenario where Texas jumps Oregon. I’m gonna go play with that calculator thing.
  14. I think the debate is real for Texas Bama on merit. It’s not for Texas Bama and Oregon for a single spot, because by nature of that being the case there are in fact 2 spots available.
  15. They fall out of the top 4 so anyone not in the top 4 can get in. This is the mathematical possibility everyone keeps saying exists, in reality if Michigan loses and everyone else wins it’s irrelevant because that means Oregon lost again and Texas goes. if Georgia loses Texas has the H2H argument and that means the Oregon win is irrelevant. (This scenario includes Texas and Oregon) there is literally no mathematical way to leave Oregon out with a win and have Texas jump them. You can have Texas left out because of bama, but not because of Oregon. 2 different things. Oregon wins and is in. Bama wins and it’s weird, but they don’t leave Oregon out. if ONLY one of those things happens and the P12 winner is Washington it’s Texas and Bama or Texas and Ohio State
  16. I don’t remember beating the #1 team in the country this season, could just be my bad memory though.
  17. Is this a fucking joke? You think they take Texas over bama knocking off #1 Georgia in the SECCG? What world do you live in where you think beating the #1 ranked team in the country doesn’t get you into the playoffs? You think they intentionally didn’t put Michigan in that top spot literally for this discussion point?
  18. For those that want to say but what about 1 loss Oregon Alabama and Texas!!! texas didn’t beat #1 back to back champion Georgia. There is no fucking world where I would even pick the longhorns to go over Alabama in that scenario. Stop it. Texas plays #18 OK State. And Lost to #14 Oklahoma or something. Alabama plays #1 and lost to #7 Oregon Lost to #3 and can revenge it. this isn’t fucking hard stop being conspiracy theorists. We aren’t playing undefeated #2 Oklahoma in a revenge game.
  19. I have stated why there is no chance. Someone show me how Texas jumps Oregon in the CFP rankings even with both making the playoff. picking Oregon is easy if it’s Oregon bama Michigan as 1,2,3 seeds 4th will be fsu who can be dropped in favor of Texas. There is no world where Oregon is left out and Texas is put in at #4. The time has passed for this scenario to come true. People saying there’s a chance of non 0 are relying on the rule of they can just pick teams out of thin air to go to the CFP if they wanted. OU has the same chance as Texas to get into the CFP with a 4th seeded Oregon. How’s that? It’s not non 0, but it’s only possible because it’s not impossible.
