Well, I’ve been avoiding this thread for almost three years.
My pool was constructed with shotcrete that caused ASR. The shell started cracking. After a year empty and another year plus with an attorney and a settlement…last weekend we finally filled the new one.
The only cure for ASR is complete demolition of previous pool/concrete etc. The post demolition photo is attached. There was a pool that looked similar prior to this demo.
It wasn’t worth it for the last few years…but we finally have our pool/backyard back.
It was nice to tweak a couple things but damn…feel sorry for the 100’s (possibly a lot more) of other people who had this issue but discovered it later and may not settle/get anything.
Cray cray.
Looking forward to another hot summer.
Had to google ASR. Crap. I could be the next victim.
We have a crack from top to bottom in one wall. I pointed out the large voids in the shotcrete when they pulled the forms and was told. oh that's normal. 18 months later the crack shows up. It took a year to get their insurance adjuster out to look at it and he says we had a bad installation.
After the forms were pulled in 2021
Cracks go all the way from back wall into the plaster and cracked the coping

A brand new A321 (similar to the 757) is about $114 million.
So yeah, he's turbofucked.
Wouldn’t he have to pay off his title loan first?

I know we're on the same side of this fight, but don't accuse the Dems of dropping the ball regarding messaging. You're falling into the both sides suck trap.
There's plenty of compelling messaging from the Dems, it's just falling on deaf ears.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0fTfUYNiTK/?igsh=MTlsOXprdHN1MnN1cQ==One side has billionaires bribing the governor and bankrolling flipping the legislature to do their will with dishonest messaging about "School Choice" which should be "Private subsidies" and the other side is a bunch of small loosely aligned school districts that get sued by the cross eyed AG when they advocate for what is best to their constituents.

I personally like TikTok. It's not free anymore. It's littered with a lot of sponsored ads and also has its own marketplace started so TikTok content providers can get commissions on things they promote.
Zuckerberg tried to pull the TT people into @threads. Hasn't been successful so far.
Interesting side note is that Trump has decided TikTok is ok now, since Jeff Yass has decided to pony up some money for TFG. Yass holds about 30% of ByteDance (over $15 billion valuation), which owns TikTok. Yass is the guy who gave Abbott 6.25 million to primary all the anti-voucher Republicans. I am guessing there's a financial/political move here. It is interesting that this has sprung from the Red controlled house.
You have your associations off
TikTok = Reels (Instagram & Facebook)
Twitter/X = Threads

Looking at this picture again there are problems with how your bracket is installed. It looks like it is in backwards. It should be parallel to the ground and the bolt you can see it it should be towards the oil pan not towards the wheel. Look at this image again which is at the front of the car looking back. Yours looks like it is under the driver's floor looking forward.
You need to listen to Missy Elliot and flip it and reverse it.

So here is a question. @Mach 1 @TexasEd @Mother mopar and any others. Any best practices when it comes to mounting the new return line fitting to the control valve. I understand no tape, no dope, just let the fitting do the work? Anything special to do to reseat it or time it. It's low pressure side if I understand correctly so maybe I am overthinking it. Just sick of ps fluid on the floor.
Call Dan at Chockostang. He is a small mom and pop shop (Carol is the "mom") side. He has more experience with these systems than anyone else. He sells the parts and tells you how to install them.

I have not had these issues with mine. I have a small block and I use the bracket you showed in your pictures. Mine looks close to the same shape as yours. The tab at the top left goes into an aligning hole and the hole in the top middle is to connect to the frame rail. I do know that when I installed the lines to my control valve I had to install and uninstall several times to get the hard lines lined up the way I wanted them. It was not easy.
Here is the salvage one I used before I cleaned it up. You can see a piece of cut line going through the rubber insulator in the clamp.

By no means do I consider myself wealthy, but on the broader national scale, I'm in the top financial tier of Americans -- like many others on this message board -- and I don't think our situations are drastically impacted by one president or another.
I do believe we are better off as a country in terms of pure presidential leadership, and that has a lot of positive effects on a national and global scale. But even then, Biden is still driving a train of crazy, and in the foreseeable future we (/he if he gets another four years) will still be saddled with the MAGA movement and its stronghold on American politics and discourse, so I'd say we're collectively only marginally better off than we were four years ago.
I feel the real contrast is in what we reasonably could have expected if Trump was president the last 3 years.
- He would have appointed another USSC Justice
- We would have left NATO instead of building it even stronger
- Putin would be done with Ukraine by now and probably starting in on the Baltic states
- We would be closer to WWIII than we are now
- We would still be 2 weeks away from an infrastructure bill and the effect would be that our landing would probably not be as gentle or we would be in recession
I think the last one is most important. I have no faith in the economy recovery under Trump

I would love to see a similar chart of the subjects Dotard talks about in his next speech. There will be big circles for "makes random noises," "talks about the bad job that president Obama is doing," and "misidentifying the person who introduces him, one or more of his children, and at least one foreign leader."

Yep. They get elected because the gerrymander ensures the morons outvote the educated diverse people.
My Rep is not as bad - He actually support aid for Ukraine but didn't vote to impeach Trump for insurrection. It's maddening and the worst part is I live in Travis County and I'm stuck with a guy that represents College Station. Look at the Gerrymander on 10. If I contact them they probably have a filter based on Zip Code to just ignore us. (Yes, there is a tiny sliver of green connecting the two sides.)
I think they also split Williamson between 31 Georgetown and Round Rock 17. If we were all together there would be another D from Texas.
