    2025 NFL Draft

If I must draft a QB to start this year (because ownership demands it), I'd just take Ward. If I don't have to take a QB necessarily this year, I'd just punt for a year and hope to pick up more picks and still take Carter/Hunter I'm definitely not passing on Ward to trade back and then take Quinn later
  5. Teams in the title game have until the 24th

    2025 NFL Draft

I think so. He's a better prospect than Shedeur, and a QB is going #1 considering the #1 pick needs a QB, and there's three other teams in the top six who could draft one and might trade up for him if Tennessee for whatever reason doesn't want to draft a QB at 1.1

    2025 NFL Draft

He's very likely going #1 overall
  8. Not necessarily I expect us to still add in the portal though
  9. I think the contenders in 2025 should be even weaker than those in 2024 (which was a relatively weak year), and Texas should be in the mix even if it feels like the team might potentially take a step back

    2025 NFL Draft

Daniel Jeremiah almost certainly has measureables for all of the major program players from when he visits teams in the spring/summer, and Brugler probably has most of them too It's not just draft twitter guys who are thinking this. Some teams will have positional measureables thresholds that they won't go below for certain picks

    2025 NFL Draft

Houston first round talents that meet needs where they're drafting at 25 and then 58 TE: Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland. Warren seems unlikely at our pick , Loveland seems possible. Fannin Jr and Taylor are interesting in the 2nd round, although they might need a better blocking type than Fannin Jr. Maybe Helm could make sense in the 4th? OG: Armand Membou, Tyler Booker, Donovan Jackson. Membou and Jackson would fit OZ due to athleticism, while Booker seems to be more of a road grader who could signal a Rams type of change to running at the spine of the defense. I prefer to pass on this position in the first and take one in the 2nd or 3rd while adding a startable vet; an option in the 2nd could be Marcus Mbow. There's also two 2nd round centers, although would Houston take another center early? WR: Egbuka. This would be adding a cheap good WR2 for at least the next four years, and he'd instantly improve the offense, in a similar fashion to Minnesota adding Jordan Addison. Drafting one in the 1st-2nd would mean they like this guy much more than what they current have outside of Collins. There won't be as much talent in the late 2nd at the position as you're typically accustomed to seeing, but the Tre Harris pick could make sense DL: Shemar Stewart, Derick Harmon, Tyleik Williams, Kenneth Grant, Nolen Smith. Both San Francisco when Demeco was there and New England with Caserio was there preferred length on the DL, but Demeco also likes juice/burst disruption (BB liked more holding down two-gaps types). I think a high upside DT hitting could send this defense to a next level, and there are some interesting options here. Typically truly difference making DTs need to have high upside athletic traits which is why they're usually only found in the top round and a half, while these other positions might be easier to fill in the 3rd or later. I think Deone Walker could be an option in the 2nd (or any of the others if they fall)

It speaks to how weak this WR class is. Also I think most teams would still take Tet McMillan over him

    2025 NFL Draft

  17. Yes, he's one of the most immobile starting QBs in the league
  18. Goff is athletic because he has the best OL in football, or something
  19. The impetus was losing their starting LT and C and then getting their shit pushed in by Michigan's DL, and then having three weeks to change it up Chip Kelly (and his protégé Ryan Day) already knew how to run all of the variety of counter and other gap runs, and how to tack on RPOs, eye candy, and playaction, it was just a matter of majoring in it once the OL got reshuffled
  20. It's a particularly weak class considering how strong recent WR classes have been
