  1. Asking Iran if we can bomb them can’t be true can it?  I thought I was finally to the point where I could believe any stupid shit was possible with him but I’m struggling with this one. Of course it’s probably true but I can’t wrap my head around it.

Were there rumors that Syria was given advance warning?

Can someone explain to me where the "San Fransisco is full of doo doo on the streets" talking point came from?

The last three Trumpkins I have encountered in the wild have found a way to shoehorn that into completely unrelated conversations.

I love the city of SF and I am in complete agreement that homeless are a giant problem there. But the obsession with the doo doo talking point makes me think this is some kind of Breitbart parrot shit. It's completely bizarre. People who have never been to SF are experts on public defecation in the city.

I’m pretty sure it’s a Hannitty talking point that has bled over to other Fox News hosts.  I sometimes catch Hannitty when I don’t have Sirius. It’s really crazy how often he repeats the same phrases in quick succession. It starts with a phrase based in reality and then devolves rapidly. Just rapid fire words that start with a bit of truth and then devolve to lies and fear mongering. He’s beyond parody. He will literally say, “of course we know Russia investigation, FISA abuse, loony lovers, treason, needles in streets, 30,000 emails”. No sentences or connecting words and it always ends with 30,000 emails.

  3. I call with the KQ but what an ugly spot. I just can’t imagine villain has AK and didn’t raise though.

Are the tables usually this tight? You are right about how often you are winning pots with Cbets. I’m not used to that with any low limit tables. No fold ‘em hold ‘em is more what I’m used to.  You might be profitable raising nearly any 2 on the button if the table is over folding to this degree.

  4. So in my quick read of the Alex Jones situation, it appears to me that he and his lawyers did ZERO review and just forwarded ALL emails to the plaintiff’s lawyers. Some of those emails had child porn that was originally sent to Infowars. Just a massive self own and extreme laziness. Then Alex Jones attacks opposing law firm for unknown reasons. @Hugo Stiglitz  Is this about right? Any other hilarity I’m missing?

  5. Sooner did a great job explaining the rationale and benefits of calling with small pocket pairs. Lurch, your logic in other areas is impeccable but your aversion to multiway pots is too great. I suggest trying to re-read his posts without worrying so much about multiway pots. He has lots of great points.

The range you assigned him on flop is WAY too tight, imo. If you tightened it that much because of what he said, I think you’re putting too much emphasis on tells. In my experience, the information that is going to help most are actual plays, not physical and verbal tells (which are frequently ambiguous or even intentionally misleading).

98, 99, T8, T9, TT, JT, JJ, Q8, Q9, QT, QJ, QQ, K9, KT, KJ, KQ, AT, AJ, AQ all appear to be in play for him through the flop

Lurch nailed this explanation. The range you gave villian was way too narrow. You are heading down a dangerous path if you are looking for reasons to fold full houses. At low stakes you will be folding way too often. But that isn’t the only problem. If you move up in stakes or play against the same pool of players your narrow calling range will be very exploitable. Players can bluff you too easily on the river for two reasons 1) you would be folding too much 2) you would almost never be raising. Imagine knowing that your opponent won’t raise a full house on the river. He can turn 1 pair hands or 2 pair hands in to bluffs with the knowledge that you will almost never raise him. One of the sickest feelings is betting 2 pair on river and having a tricky opponent raise you. That’s why against tricky opponents I will usually check call semi strong hands on river. But against you I could just bet with impunity and not worry about turning a winner in to a loser.

Wouldn't this be $35 to win $65 and $100 to win $200? Those feel like bad calls into what I feel like were over bets (I'd think $30-35 for the first and $60-75 for the second).

Lurch expertly explained why your math is wrong and he briefly touched on implied odds. If villain was drawing to a flush and thought he could get paid more bets on the turn and river he needs a smaller win % to call. There are tutorials online that describe implied odds in detail and make villains calls more justifiable.

  8. What is Sam Cosby’s Surly ID?

From the $600 NL online event:

Sam 'BickDutt69' Cosby Knocks Out Three In One Hand

Sunday, June 16, 2019 6:26 PM Local Time (about 1 hour and 17 minutes ago)

In a huge, multi-way all-in situation, Samuel 'BickDutt69' opened from middle position with    to 1,455 and the player to his left called all in for 906. The player in the hijack called and then the player in the cutoff shoved all in for 13,434. The player on the button called all in for their last 107 and then the small blind shoved for around 86,000, putting everybody all in. Cosby called off his 48,000ish and the hijack folded.

    Samuel 'BickDutt69' Cosby:
    Opponent #1:
    Cutoff:
    Button:
    Small Blind:

The board ran out       and Cosby backdoored his way into a straight to ship the pot and the three knockouts.

Has there been any discussion of a laminectomy? Seems like that would be the obvious solution to stenosis and they should do it right away so he’s recovered in time for the 2020 season. Also, doesn’t resorption actually relate to herniations, rather than stenosis? If he has herniations in addition to stenosis, shouldn’t they have already started with ESI’s and physical therapy?

Not a doctor. Really just asking, particularly of someone who is.

How much earlier could we have offered him...  we offered him his sophomore year. We recruit really well at DB, not worried here.  Kitan Crawford is arguably the best best db in the state this year.  Get him and go all in on Ringo and we’re set.  Still have Watson from 2019 who I think is insanely underrated.

Sadly Trump is the only choice for most of America. With the left abandoning  the middle class for illegal immigrants, they are left with no choice.

All the evidence you need is to look at the city/states the presidential candidates represent.  They are the worst offender at what is supposed to be their platform.

They are the champions of income inequality, unaffordable housing and homeless population, while also being the worst offenders. When the left abandoned the middle class they left American no serious second option. Maybe Stacy Abrams will enter the race to save us, she keenly pointed out all the democrats have is identity politics, and to abandon them would be suicide.

Sheep. It’s not about Trump, it’s about the failure of the other side. Maybe one day they will find reality and the middle class will get their voice back.

Every where the democrats rule, destruction of the middle class follows.

2600 vs 480 voting counties. American spoke loud and clear.

Yes. Trump won a lot of counties where nobody lives. Nobody cares.

    I’m still confused.

Some here seem to think we do have bagmen and others seem to think we don’t.

Being a large academically focused university would seem to support the idea that our bagmen have big bags and are likely smart enough to not get caught.

You’re confused because posters on a message board don’t all agree on the topic?

    Whats the recruiting story here?

Georgia is the defending NCAA champs so it’s not like we lost him to Iowa State. Also, I have a feeling he goes pro in a year. Still a loss but not as bad as some think.

Hey we partially agree.  Trump was as happy to hear the Russian spin as Hilary was to pay for it. But for a few brave voters in Wisconsin and Pennsylvannia we would never know the Obama administration was spying on Trump.  Right minded individuals dismissed it as one of Trump's ramblings, until it was true.

I don't actually think Trump is above the crimes known to the Clinton machine (I haven't heard if Trump ever destroyed a hard drive or blamed his casualties on a youtube video, but I wouldn't be that surprised). I don't even remember Trump pretending to be Mr Virtue. But I do know that Trump is fighting for me and every other regular guy in America.  And no one believes Hilary would lift a finger for anyone other than herself.

Now this is a good troll. You almost had me.

I keep forgetting big ass Willie Tyler is in this class. Will he be ready to play this year or does he have to redshirt? Cause if we can save Braun for next year (center, maybe?) that would kinda be awesome.

In no universe is Braun redshirting.

You guys post about Donald Trump a lot.

Is this new tax thing the next big news? He’ll be impeached any day now, right?

I’ll check back here in a few months to see what everyone is freaking the fuck out about then.

This is like when aggy says we are obsessed with them because we point and laugh at them. Don’t be aggy.

    there is no fucking way

Swandered has gone off the rails on two threads. Hamm was referring to EJ Holland covering Notre Dame recruiting. Then somebody tweeted an OBVIOUS joke. Obviuously the Notre Dame AD isn’t going to aggy. It’s a joke. Come on people.

  19. 1 hour ago, SwanderedTalent said:

Well, I guess I could be wrong, but I'll go ahead and risk being wrong in the strongest terms possible:  there is no motherfucking way Jack Swarbrick, a Notre Dame alumnus and the highest paid athletic director in the country, is going to leave Notre Dame for Texas A&M at the age of sixtyfuckingfive years old.

And I'll double down on that and say there's no way the #2 guy (or woman) there, whoever the fuck it is, will do that either, unless they're planning on springboarding back to Notre Dame in 2-3 years when Swarbrick retires.

They can get some third-string backbencher from Notre Dame, sure.

Duuuuuddeee.  Hamm is alluding to Holland covering Notre Dame. It is known. You wasted a bunch of words on a sarcastic comment about Notre Dame AD moving to aggy.

he is a mouth breathing moron. what makes you think he'd turn over instead of hide like the little cunt he is? so far everything indicates he will run and hide like bitch made pussy that he is. or do you have any links to show he is favoring disclosure?

Wow. Talk about misreading my post. I was making fun of @Hornius Emeritus post stating that Trump would have to release his taxes to all states. No shit Captain Obvious.  I have no idea what he would do in any scenario and never posited my opinion. My only point is that it’s painfully obvious in 2019 that you can’t publicly release to States you select. Because internet.

  21. 3 hours ago, Hornius Emeritus said:

Well he can't selectively turn his taxes over. He either turns them over to the entire electorate or he's not on the ballot in every state that requires the taxes to be disclosed.

Are you drunk? Of course his choice is to fully release or not.
