  1. I don't love having a literal book on our offense floating around out there. Wish he'd write one on some of our opponents
  2. Collins, Broughton, Caldwell and the youngsters would probably be fine at DT. No one should expect 2 All-Americans again but that could still be a good group. I'm excited to see what Bledsoe can do. I'm not ready to pencil Sydir in but maybe he's physically ready by then. We'll see. At WR - could Dorian Singer or Mario Williams be on the radar? Both former big time transfers that had disappointing years at USC. I'm still wondering wtf we're doing at Safety. If Crawford and Thompson leave and Mukuba plays nickel, we're down to Williams, Taafe, true Freshmen, and maybe a converted corner or two (who knows if they'll be able to pick it up or not). That's scary.
  3. Maybe the bigger plans were getting Mitchell to come back. Guess we'll see if these new rumors have any substance.
  4. Terry has developed a lot of good safeties at his previous stops but for some reason we hired him as a CB coach with Gideon at S. Ideally he'd move to safety coach and we hire a CB coach instead of Gideon, but that all seems unlikely
  5. SIAP but what's the story on Nelson's huge drop? Highly recruited 5-star prospect and then just one year later relegated to Boise. Weird.
  6. Scourton would be a good get for them. You hate to see it
  7. He only the assistant DL coach with the Texans. Seems obtainable. If we're talking alums, Frank Okam would be another one to watch. Had a bller DL at Baylor under Rhule, followed him to the Panthers (only lasted 1 year), then 1 year with the Raiders, now at Toledo. Must not have done too hot in the NFL but still
  8. So Denver Harris got kicked out by the university itself, not just the football program, and then was basically under disciplinary measures all year by LSU, but now ATM is going to let him come back? Where's the logic in that one?
  9. He played at LSU. Doesn't have to be about money
  10. Experience matters, people. Let's take a look at the age of this year's top QBs: Jayden Daniels - 23 Penix - 23 Nix - 23 Jordan Travis - 23 Caleb - 22 Maye - 21 Mccarthy (if you consider him a top qb) - 20 And Ewers? 20.
  11. Has LSU hired a DL coach yet? If not, makes me a little nervous about Bo
  12. Maybe Moore over a freshman Wingo, we'll see. And who's to say Niblett is good enough to play at this point
  13. Didn't Watts play safety for a while at tOSU? Was he any good at it?
  14. Why would Gbenda leave for Nevada? Seems like a spot is open with Ford gone and Gbenda played pretty well
  15. Yeah I'm talking all positions though, not just QB
  16. FWIW, PFF has Quinn as the second highest graded player of the entire semifinals, both games. Behind Penix of course.
  17. Is it just me or were a lot of receivers loafing on that play, even AD? Seemed kinda strange. Also wonder if Blue would've broken open if QE had more time.
  18. UW was always going to be a bad matchup for us. Their biggest strength (Pass O) is our biggest weakness (pass D). Hard for coaches to suddenly change that especially when the QB is on fire like that. We got his very best yesterday. That said - it wasn't Sark's best game. Team came in tight/sloppy, we should've run the ball more bc they couldn't stop it, the last 4 plays sucked, and while not as impactful putting a one-handed guy back at returner was hilariously dumb. Also, Daboer is a really good coach. Regardless - great year by Sark. You live and you learn. Glad he's at UT.
  19. But from what position and on all 3 downs?
  20. What role is Trey Moore supposed to play for us? Seems like he's too small against the run to be a typical DE like Burke/Sorrel, but we need his pass rush bad
  21. Gotta agree with a lot of what both sides are saying here. The secondary needs more speed and the lack of development at safety is concerning. At the same time, Penix dropped multiple perfect balls into good coverage last night (that's what she said lol). Brooks and Watts in particular seem like good corners but struggle to keep up on deep balls. Although again, they were right there on a few last night that were just perfect throws/catches. Not much you can do on some of those. No doubt the safeties are slow other than Williams. Need more speed there for sure.
  22. Penix is a baller but I've watched a few UW games this year and last night was the best I've seen him by far. The dude was placing the ball wherever he wanted, avoiding the rush perfectly, just totally on his A game. Our lack of pressure hurt and our coverage was just OK but we just ran into a buzzsaw with Penix and those WRs on fire yesterday. Otherwise, we got thoroughly outcoached in that game. Sark is the man and this isn't a "fire sark" comment, but yesterday wasn't his finest work. Among the most questionable aspects: Our RBs were getting 7 yards every carry, why didn't we run it more? Who is the genius that decided to put a one-handed man at returner in the second half when Blue was doing it fine in 1H? One of the most bizarre decisions I've seen. Shocked that he muffed it immediately! Not all on coaches but the team looked tight early and overall sloppy. Killer false starts / other penalties, two soft fumbles, jittery offense especially early. That was nowhere close to our A-game. edit - how about only 1 catchable pass in the end zone on the last 4 plays of the game. Wtf!
  23. This. Those extra years are HUGE for a QB. As some coaches have publicly said, it's fucking stupid that we have 6th/7th year QBs in college football these days. Such a big difference.
  24. A reporter on X said they have been able to ask Quinn questions yesterday and other days but this is the only day with the whole team, and that this was lats 5 minutes of Quinn's 45 minutes of time. So basically they had already asked Quinn all their questions but only had this one time with Arch
  25. I don't like this for some reason
