  1. No mention of Howard getting Covid?
  2. Thanks for the advice. The hole.....er, whole process was no big deal. Good results and don't need to go back for 10 years. Poop process was a piece of cake (food poisoning in India is a 100% worse) and the procedure itself was nothing. Only thing I'd add, did the liquid diet two days earlier. Made a slight mistake not eating enough the day before. Only one can of chicken broth at lunch and two jello packets. Got a bit shaky at 2am from hunger pains. Be sure you consume enough before midnight.
  3. Going in Friday morning for the first time. You guys are recommending liquid diet tomorrow and then prep Thursday? Great thread.
  4. The last and only time? 2011. Cripes, the Pokes, K-State and Baylor have won since the Horns. Come on.....you're the Texas F*CKING Longhorns!! You're in the best town in the Big 12, have the hottest coeds of any campus, best bars, best BBQ, best music, coolest fanbase. It was the best road trip of any Big 12 opponent. Can you imagine recruiting to Ames or Stillwater or Manhattan, Kansas??? You guys should have won 10 of the last 14....and you know it. But anyway......seriously....congrats on the championship. It's about freagin time.
  5. Learn to take a joke, boys. Enjoy the moment.
  6. You have to hand it to Texas. Nobody takes 14 years to build a conference championship roster like the Longhorns. Nobody. Ok, seriously, congrats to the Texas kids. Deserving champs.
  7. I don't give my Pokes much of a chance in this one. But the fact so many Gooners are openly cheering on the Horns and having such a hard time with how this whole thing has played out, it's still a memorable season. I've never seen - in all my years - Sooner fans this ugly going into bowl season. They are really having a hard time processing this and it's hilarious.
  8. Quick question......best burnt ends in Austin? Thanks
  9. Studio in New York? Entire crew returning?
  10. No kidding. I went to 12 Stars games last year. Seven went into OT/Shootout and they only won two of them. But I will say that November 23rd Blackhawks game was one of the wildest I've ever seen in 40 years of going to NHL games. Crazy third period.
  11. Hilarious. This complete cluelessness by the average American about hockey drives Canadians nuts. I remember during the strike year when the Edmonton Oilers sent Nugent-Hopkins, Jordan Eberle and Taylor Hall to the Oklahoma City Barons. Huge names north of the border but complete no names in Oklahoma. I went to a Thunder game one night and sat a few rows away from Taylor Hall who was with a smokin hot blond. Not one person came up to him all night. Number one player picked in the draft and the dude had complete anonymity in Oklahoma.
  12. I'm extremely happy for Jokic and the Nuggets. But most of all, I'm excited for the strength and conditioning coach. My girlfriend played basketball at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, Oklahoma. She came from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Imagine growing up in Sao Paulo and moving to small town Alva for four years. Definite culture shock. A close Brazilian friend from Sao Paulo also got a basketball scholarship to NWOSU. He was a 6'10 kid named Felipe. The Brazilian community is extremely close, especially when they are attending tiny colleges like NWOSU. They became like brother and sister, always looking out for each other. After graduation, my girlfriend settled in Oklahoma City. Felipe pursued a career in training, relocated to Denver and was hired on by the Nuggets as Strength and Conditioning coach. Every time the Nuggets come to OKC, we pick him up at the hotel and go out for dinner. On a few occasions, a player will tag along. Let me tell you, Felipe is the most driven and intense person I've ever met. I remember one dinner we had early in the year when he looked me in the face and said 'What are your goals this year? What do you expect to accomplish in 2016?' I was like, 'huh'? Felt like I was having dinner with Tony Robbins. I mentioned maybe wanting to lose some weight and he went on to spell out a weight loss program that could only be accomplished through hard work and discipline. I listened while enjoying my pepperoni pizza. When I clicked on ESPN a few weeks ago, the top story was about the relationship between Jokic and Felipe, how his S&C coach sat him down and told him he could be the best player in the NBA, the league MVP and NBA champion if he dedicated himself and worked hard. I could immediately picture Felipe telling Jokic every bit of what was written down. I believe every bit of that story. The son-of-a-gun actually did it. Through hard work and dedication, they actually pulled it off. He's achieved the American Dream. Can't wait to see the ring. A car ride and a Game 7 loss that activated Nikola Jokic into an MVP - ESPN
  13. I think you guys are being a little hard on your Stars. I'm surprised this team made it to the Conference Finals. Seems like this team overachieved a little. Some very good pieces on this team. Pavelski will be 39 next season. Any word in Dallas on what he's thinking?
  14. I was actually really impressed with how Vegas responded to that cheap shot. Typically, someone cheap shots your team captain, you come out swinging. Heck, in today's game, guys want to fight....er, wrestle....after clean hits. But Vegas remained composed, played their game and watched Dallas completely implode. Embarrassing night for the organization.
  15. Your Dallas Stars have just run into a very good team. I said from day one of the playoffs on this board that this Dallas squad isn't a Cup contender. Vegas is simply superior....and I hate saying that as I can't stand the Knights. Having said that, I'd be embarrassed as hell by the display of the fans tonight. All those empty seats in the third period? Throwing crap on the ice? Really? The sudden decrease in ticket prices on Ticketmaster in the last few hours? A sad display by the entire organization today. Feel bad for Pavelski. Dude deserves a Cup.
  16. Personally, I'd like to see them bring back the name Houston Apollos.....but not sure modern day fans would want to wear a giant penis across their chest.
  17. Is Paul Bissonnette supposed to be funny?
  18. What a disappointing development. Have always enjoyed Phoenix as an NHL city. Lots of frostbacks there during the summer. Truth be told, Phoenix is just a disappointing sports town when you look at Suns, Diamondbacks and Cardinals fanbases. And from a hockey players perspective, I think I'd much rather live in Phoenix than Quebec City, Houston or Kansas City.
  19. Counted not one.....but TWO....Studebaker trucks in the trailer. I'm in.
  20. Get used to it. This is not a Stanley Cup winning team.
  21. Count me in as looking forward to the off season and next year. What a fun team to follow this year. The Williams picks were great. My major frustration this season was the lack of crowd support. Dead last in the league in attendance. Went to a lot of games this year and some you would have thought we were experiencing an ice storm outside. Oklahoma City is such a mediocre sports town. Drives me nuts.
  22. Tough times in Texas.
  23. Surprised this hasn't been posted....... There was a shootout over the weekend at the Whiskey Barrel Saloon in SW OKC that killed three bikers and injured three others. Just a fight between two rival biker gangs. What's interesting about this is that this is the bar where they shot the exterior shots for Tulsa King. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RST_IAlyyio
  24. Agreed. Was at the game and the hillbilly behind us was literally spitting on us with his overly enthusiastic booing. But they sure love them some Chris Paul.
  25. That's cool you got to enjoy Japan. Amazing place. Can I ask what you paid for your airfare? I've been pretty stunned at the prices I've seen this year.
