  1. Good update here from Gerry: Football recruiting notes OnTexasFootball delivers a few football recruiting notes to go with your morning brew. Roseborough back on campus ... Clearwater (Fla.) High 4-star++ OT Samuel Roseborough was back on campus a few days ago, marking his second visit of the spring with another to come. Of course, his mom now lives and works in Austin, so the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder is around campus more than most prospects. OTF can report that Roseborough rated recent visits to Michigan and Texas A&M behind Texas. OTF believes the Horns hold a decent lead right now. OTF continues to believe the Longhorns lead for Roseborough, 4-star+ IOL Toa Katoa (Euless, Texas/Trinity) and 4-star+ IOL Nicolas Robertson (Klein, Texas/High). And the Longhorns are at least a 50-50 shot with 5-star OT John Turntine III (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley), 4-star++ OT Felix Ojo (Mansfield, Texas/Lake Ridge) and 4-star+ OT/IOL Sam Utu (Orange, Calif./Lutheran). Two defensive lineman to know ... IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) via East Northport, N.Y. 4-star defensive lineman Preston Carey has real interest in Texas. OTF expects the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder to make an unofficial visit in April. Depending on that visit, a June OV is likely/possible. The Texas staff likes Carey over the ball. He's seen as a more athletic version of Bill Norton. As OTF has mentioned, 4-star+ defensive lineman Damari Simeon (Richland, N.J./St. Augustine) will visit April 12. Texas is expected to make a big push so long as Simeon is close to the listed 6-foot-3 and 270-275 pounds. Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn, North Carolina and Oklahoma are considered the main competition early on. In case anyone missed this with the wild day on the Forty Acres ... Marietta (Ga.) Kell 2026 4-star+ Brayden Rouse tells OnTexasFootball he is making an unofficial visit to Texas April 17. Rouse, 6-3 and 210-pounds, was offered by Johnny Nansen January 29. The Peach State rangy LB with closing speed has June OV’s scheduled to Michigan June 6-8, Georgia June 13-15 and Tennessee June 20-22. Texas will be working to replace on of the June visit dates with the first ever visit to Texas next month.
  2. HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!
  3. Good post. Many of us knew and stated on here that Richardson was going to be a bust, and for the exact reasons being extolled on this thread. Milroe seems like a carbon copy other than taking more bullets in college. If that dude is drafted in the first round, or, hell, the fourth round, I will laugh out loud. Eberts in a class by himself. I can’t believe he has media credentials. His site is terrible, he’s a terrible follow on Twitter, and he has no connections or insights.
  4. I believe Doug Ginapp is who you are thinking of, sir.
  5. On the one hand, we lost the two fastest WRs in each of the last two drafts and one of the fastest RBs in the land for this draft. Objectively, a team almost has to be “slower” losing those three. On the other hand, sarvanash works his ass off to find the negative and then dwell on it. He never disappoints. What are you doing?
  6. Any of the Freakshow varietals are good and usually under $25. The Duckhorn whites are also in that range and my wife and her friends seem to like them.
  7. I went to see Texas versus WVU on their last trip to Morgantown. We spent a long weekend in Pittsburgh and loved it. Had a car take us into and out of Mortantown as promptly as possible. Good trip.
  8. Remember that there are schools desperately trying to push large NIL numbers early in the cycle. They’re trying to fuck up/muddy things for everyone or they’re trying to lock guys in and prevent future visits to other schools. Meanwhile, Texas is not having NIL conversations for the most part. That comes later. In other words, ATM, LSU, and USC are operating in fantasyland.
  9. Off the top of my head, the list would be shrunk by Okie State and Minnesota, at least. Not sure about any others.
  10. Holy shit. Liucci might corrupt time and space in order to reach across sites and ban that poor bastard in both places. AgTx needs to be watching his six because publishing something that accurate about that organization is a very dangerous thing.
  11. Worked up? You’ve been bawling with volume all over this thread for days on end. It might be funny if it wasn’t such a bandwidth drain to the readers. My bet offer still stands. I already explained why you’re a crybaby dum dum about NIL and your last post is just more ignorant, tiny-handed fist-pounding.
  12. Let’s place a bet. You bet on your stupid fucking position that Texas won’t be top 15 in basketball NIL and that I don’t know anything about what is happening for NIL. I will bet that you are a shitposting clown with no connections to the process. Accordingly, Texas will level up as needed to be a top program on NIL for basketball, along with every other sport. Which ever one of us is wrong will agree to a permaban from immamac and the other will continue as normal.
  13. This post is a classic example of why you are a fucking idiot as a poster. Former players are allegedly lauding the hire. I assume that will make the press in the next few days.
  14. The thing with NIL and Terry is that he chose the socialist approach in 2023-2024 and the capitalist approach in 2024-2025 (no CR, just the easiest way to frame it). Neither made a ton of sense in either cycle. Then, the guy was a terrible money raiser with the backers. He was uninspiring and lacked charisma. Guys who often say “yes” said “not right now”. It wasn’t like Texas was a have-not, but very much not a big time “have” with him at the helm. The update on NIL from Gerry is tempered with his own skepticism of the actual NIL talk right now. I’m not going to say that anyone is energized by Miller, because I simply do not know yet. What I do know is that the committed floor is the range Gerry quoted. If Miller comes in and shows that he can put together a final four-esque team quickly, the support is there.
  15. He should stick to Texas without remorse.
  16. The one guy is apparently a powerlifter, so of course Liucci watched his words. I like how Liucci denies influencing national media when he constantly uses his Texags platform to bring national guys on and then goes onto theirs and aggressively pushes ATM in every sport, every cycle.
  17. BO&W entertains me with his stupidity and sometimes he’ll link to, or C&P, something worthwhile, so I don’t have him on ignore. That said, he’s a title-ist imbecile and a general know-nothing, so when he’s vomiting on coaching search threads, I just scroll past every one of his posts without reading. It works quite well.
  18. I agree that the Texags baseball and basketball forums are fucking awesome right now. -there are a couple of threads on the baseball board that were started during or just after their first loss to Vanderbilt. They start rationalizing how to turn things around, starting with a win or two in the next two versus Vandy. The progression of each thread gets more and more hilarious. -there’s a poster sunshine-pumping about this being a great season for basketball and thanking Buzz Williams. At first, some aggies call the guy out as a troll and I was inclined to buy that. Then, the poster returns and proceeds to ardently defend both the season and BW as successes, and measures each against the arbitrary last 25 years. It’s awesome. -a common thought pervasive on both 247 and Texags about the tournament loss is that Michigan was horrifically “underseeded “. These losers make this argument every fucking year in which they lose to a lower seed. They made it about Penn State two years ago. That thinking is one of best insights into the overall aggie mentality and why they’re never going to win anything. “If only a shittier team was placed in that spot, then our higher ranked team would have actually done something. “ Right. -the baseball posters are starting to work in some thinking that, what they really need to do, is go even further over the top with NIL. They need random boosters to pay a $3M buyout to a guy that would have taken the job without a buyout provision. Then, after spending more money on NIL in baseball than any team has ever spent (including LSU in 2023), they need random boosters to enthusiastically double-down and buy all of the quality in the portal and in recruiting to help the unnamed new-new HC win the national title in 2026. Never mind that a bunch of their current roster was deemed worthy of massive NIL and will be transferring after the season to contenders. Sadly for these idiots, the word on the NIL front for baseball is that the boosters involved did it as a one-time thing to avoid the humiliation of a roster collapse and to “show Schlossnagle who runs the show.” LOL.
  19. If Miller is the guy, this will all be over tomorrow. If it is him and it is not annoubced tomorrow, it’s just fucked from the jump.
  20. McCollum is expected to take the Iowa job.
  21. Black dudes have to tan? I’ve lived my whole life not knowing that. What I’ve passed on is that he expressed interest and there were talks with a third party of some sort. Everyone is basically denying that these days, moving it to “Few said ‘no’” last time, which is new.
  22. How are the men doing?
  23. First spring practice update. It's both funny and sad. Highlights and then article in spoilers: -Elko remains fully butt-clenched with reporters in terms of anything they can actually report. Reading between the lines, there also continues to be conveyed a sense of pravda-level oversight in terms of even the comments the writers can make about the team as they watch practice. -Marcel Reed already looks way better, while throwing against no defense. -The Zeno guy continues to be touted as an amazing back-up at QB. -Concepcion is going to catch 110 passes for 800 yards. -Some no one named Bethel-Roman isn't good enough to crack the starting line-up at WR, but boy, he's someone to watch out for, I'm telling ya. -Moss and Daniels are out for the spring. Reuben Owens is dutifully following the Elko S&C requirements of gaining as much weight as possible during the offseason. He's trending towards legitimate fatass at TB per eyewitness accounts. Karels spins it well here. -The TEs are all 6'5" and over 250 except Niblack. They're all slower than molasses and can't block or catch for shit. -The OLs looked super impressive while standing around and doing nothing while the press was present.
  24. That would be a full market reset. I’m skeptical of those numbers as of this moment.
