  1. Folks aren’t worried about it or surprised. Dude’s brother plays for them and he told Texas about it a while ago, supposedly. I agree it’s “not ideal” but I don’t think it should be considered worrisome. I assume he’ll be at the Texas/Arkansas match-up as well.
  2. We are less than 1/3 of the way through the full college football season and there is exactly one SEC team with an undefeated record. This conference is dickless and overrated.
  3. Moore is undersized and hasn’t dazzled. He’s been good as a contributor and I’m glad he’s at Texas. I just don’t think he’s done enough to get drafted. Lot of season left, though. Personally, he’s like a hobo version of Corey Moore from Va Tech 20-ish years ago. I don’t remember if that dude even got picked.
  4. “Well ackshually, according to my calculations, we need to reserve having an opinion as fans here, guys.” Right. How about we just hold off and catch you back up after the season is over? You dipshits that post stuff like this, why bother clicking on a thread about current rankings and polls?
  5. I think we are really good. That said, you cannot exclude Ohio State from that same level unless you just haven’t watched them. Those are the two fastest teams in the country. Discounting Michigan is silly. That game was blanketed in drama heading into it. Defending champ, 110,000 people, Gameday and Big Noon, mega hype. Their defense has at least 3 first round picks and likely other draftable guys. Then Texas played “name that score” and walked out of there casually. It’s bullshit to denigrate that. Let the pundits and aggies do that.
  6. Negged because you are an unentertaining troll with a terrible schtick. Go get fucked, dummy.
  7. Given how Nahlin fucking crushed the Denver Harris recruitment out of North Shore, I think we should absolutely go all in on buying that loser’s latest POV.
  8. No bet at this stage. Like I said before, I want to see more of the season. A month from now, I think we can argue numbers again and see if there is a bet there. That would still be 6 months from the draft.
  9. It’s relative, really. Improving Arkansas’ offense from last year is the lowest of bars. They had a worse OL than ATM and it rivaled any FBS program out there in terms of terrible. Enos was a laugher of a hire and then was fired mid-season while challenging students to fights over email. KJ Jefferson continued his regression of getting worse every season in his career and Sanders canceled his own season. You and I could improve upon that as Co-OCs. That said, there are at least 50 hires that could have been made with more current and sound resumes than Petrino. Boosters forced that hire and many times, those guys are victimized by prior relationship biases and nostalgia.
  10. The main decision maker was friends with Fisher and friends with Elko. This came through supporting them in the bag game and going on trips and such with them. As it became clear, in their minds, that Fisher had to go, the money had veto rights since they were footing the buyouts. Bjorn/Bjork promised a big name. No one was interested. DeBoer didn’t even take a call with them. Bjorn/Bjork felt like Stoops was a big name and did the deal without checking on the veto. Liucci hated the deal and was buddies with both the money and Elko. Stoops was nixed while flying down. The Elk was then trumpeted as their big boy hire and then spin began.
  11. This kind of thing being celebrated by those idiots is akin to ATM and Arkansas fans being excited about Bobby Petrino. These guys are retreads heading in the wrong direction of their careers. Harrell should start looking for new industries and career paths, as bad as he’s been. Getting shitcanned midseason at a P4 backwater like Purdue has to be rock bottom, right? Nope. Working as an analyst for a terrible OU OC who is also on the verge of getting the heave-ho has to be even lower, I guess.
  12. You just referenced the notion that 20 longhorns could get drafted in the upcoming draft in the prior paragraph. I think we can all gather that you’re a “homer and a honk“ without you spelling it out. Blue declared before this season that this is a “contract year”, so, yeah he won’t be back. Maybe he does his thing and once again redeems himself through the rest of the season. He’s outdone himself before, of course. As of right now, he’s a JAG and will not get drafted. There are at least 30 guys I’ve seen listed ahead of him on the draft eligible TB lists. This is a deep class for TBs. Guys you need to stop listing if you’d like for the rest of us to stop pointing and laughing: 1) Hayden Conner. GTFO. 2) Holmes. He does not possess an elite skill and is undersized. As to Campbell, that guy is steadily losing playing time already. And he’s a guard. And he’s got mixed film. If he leaves, might he get drafted late? I guess there’s a shot. Will it have been a poor decision? Yes. There’s good money available if he wanted to return and Flood wanted him back. I guess I’m still deeply skeptical when it comes to Majors, Broughton, Gbenda, Campbell, Blue, Holmes, Mukuba, and Bolden. Hell, Golden isn’t a sure thing either. Conner hasn’t made a block in the running game in his fucking life. He has more whiffs on film than Rob Deer. I see 9 as the likely number and 12 the ceiling.
  13. I don’t follow the draft every year as early as some of you guys do. I obviously do follow CFB a ton though. I just assumed Walker was viewed already as a 1st or 2nd round guy. Is he new to the scouting world? He came into this season with All-SEC expectations.
  14. So you think one of the most organized and well-funded NIL programs is going to be targeted for WRs by other schools as some sort of priority? Okay then. All Burton was doing was looking at the roster and saying “well, somebody will leave”. There’s no current info about anyone being interested in that right now. It’s likely to be someone told after the season that their role for 2025 is unclear at that point in time. Same as last cycle. Hilson and Terry will take it to top 3 or 4 alone. Someone can play with that and get back to us. They feel good about one of the DBs. Not sure who it is. I think Lee is pure fantasy as well.
  15. I think it was more of a rebuttal to whatever cloak & dagger silliness was being spewed by one of the other $9.95ers and then that being played back to OTF with old man questions/statements.
  16. And here's more from Gerry. If this doesn't redirect you fucking idiots into more interesting dialogue, @immamac should just delete the fucking thread and subforum and finish the process of turning this site into a food and travel site.
  17. Few things are more boring than reading about a bunch of idiots' eating preferences and personal cooking techniques for steaks/stuff. Here's a recruiting update from Bobby Burton:
  18. Some sort of bastardized Alien + Dune mash-up. Nothing is safe anymore.
  19. Nussmier has bust written all over him. He can robotically throw a 10 yard out. That’s well and truly awesome. He’s the exact kind of colorless, uncreative clay that various idiots in the NFL crave working with as they maneuver themselves into their next firing.
  20. Why don't you just do us all and forever and end the ruse. Just come out with a big "ARCH SHOULD STARTS!!!" post and get on with it.
  21. Now you guys know me fully. I'm Greg Davis and I share information with Mike Roach.
  22. Cook seems like he has regressed. Burden was hurt early and missed parts of multiple games. They have the skill guys to do it, provided Cook can distribute and the OL doesn't suck out loud. Noel, the TB transfer, is also good. They've had a bizarre open to their season, given expectations. All the picks I've heard so far are for ATM. Any outcome here won't surprise me. I think Drinkwitz is a mouthy idiot who fell into a solid season last year. I don't have a high opinion of the ATM roster, their offensive coaching, or the way they develop talent.
  23. What’s interesting to me is that Wingo isn’t getting the same run at a national level as the other two, but he’s still getting a lot of mention. In terms of stat totals, he’s not even close to the production as the other two yet, even though he’s posted great numbers for a freshman. Ohio State doesn’t “have” to have Smith putting up numbers any more than Texas needs Wingo to do so. They have less depth but also other star players. He’s just so good that they can’t help themselves. Alabama has to have Williams posting numbers. Dude is a godsend for them. If he gets hurt, they’re a totally different offense because they don’t have the game breakers at WR or TE that they’ve grown accustomed to over the least 17 years.
