  1. This is true. Those chimichangas are delicious too.
  2. The family is good to local charities. They don’t have chicken enchiladas unless you’ve asked that they put fajita meat in the enchiladas. Is that a thing? Been going there 40 years and never seen such a thing. One thing I have done is have them put an enchilada on top of the fajitas. That was awesome. Even better, had them put an egg on top of the enchilada on top of the fajitas. That was incredible. I find most people who dislike Joe T’s are people expecting chili con carne enchiladas. That ain’t their deal.
  3. I’ve always liked the food. The nachos are great. They really should bottle that jalapeño relish and sell it. It’s the best I’ve ever had. The enchiladas are simple but I like that. Good cheese with a simple tomato sauce is damn good. The beans and rice are probably the best in town. The tacos are ok. I get the fajita criticism. Although I do like how they put the beans and rice on the cast iron. More places should do that.
  4. Great point, why cheat then? There’s some serious aggy in stros fans.
  5. Equating the two situations is pretty funny. Whatever Houston fans, you cheated and got caught. Live with it.
  6. You’re being far too obvious. It bothers you as it should. The Astros need to clean their act up.
  7. Santa Fe Ski is great. Their ski school is really good. The ski school, lift tiks, rentals, and food is about 30-40% cheaper than comparable mountains. It’s really only super crowded this time of year when the locals and Texans are skiing at the same time. Spring Break is crowded just like everywhere. NM skiing in March is certainly warmer than Colorado but I’ve never had a problem. Food in Santa Fe is unbeatable.
  8. A year after a national championship appearance? We’re a clown show because of knee jerk decisions.
  9. Yes, Charlie Strong was a terrible hire and demonstrably worse. We should have hung on longer and gotten a better hire. We’d be well advised to remember that now.
  10. Firing Mack when we did was a mistake and firing Herman now would be as well.
  11. Dutch’s has opened a new burrito and beer to go bar.
  12. I agree, the way he squints is ridiculous. He can't see right. Not that I think it would help if he could.
  13. I think that's a pretty good assessment. If you're within an hour and half of the stadium it's worth the trip. If you make a day of it, then stopping at Bonnell's on the way out of town would be a good idea. They also sell beer in the stadium now which is a game changer.
  14. If I were you, I'd come in on Berry off 35. Plan to be there about noon or so. Go to Mama's pizza. It's a cool old place with lots of TCU sports memorabilia and old arcade games. Good kids pizza and cold beer. When heading tot he game, west down Berry towards the stadium, by this time there will be some traffic but not terrible. Keep taking Berry and take a right at Berry and Bellaire, it'll be a 4 way stop. Go down until you get to a T intersection. Park at one of the houses right around there. From there you'll have a short 3 block walk down to the stadium and Frog Alley. Your son will love the scene there. Enjoy it, I actually like Amon Carter although it's been a house of horrors lately.
  15. The place in Hamilton is pretty good. I typically do the special or the Reuben. Neat looking courthouse but it’s incredibly ugly on the inside. Along this route, Stephenville would be about a 45 minute detour in total. Some people like Koffee Kup in Hico. I’m not one of those people. Cleburne has good eats. Grumps for burgers is really good and La Cima is the best small town Mexican food I’ve ever had. Drive safe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Buffalo Thunder is probably your best bet in SF. It's about 15-20 minutes north of town. It's not Vegas but it'll have all the games you would expect and it has the best facilities. Also, be aware that it's strictly no alcohol on casino floors in NM.
  17. I'm not sure why you're so proud of yourself. Y'all have a veteran team that was favored to win. We're breaking in a new defense and you won by touchdown. We absolutely smoked your defense. A few breaks go the other way and we win. See ya next year.
  18. Fachini was excellent. One of the best meals of my life. Carpaccio, crab appetizer, beat salad, quail cacciatore, veal gnocchi, tenderloin, baked chicken.
  19. Headed to Fachini next week. Anyone been recently?
