  1. Up to #20 in T-rank. Probably around 20-24 when NET is updated in the morning.
  2. 2 wins will definitely get us a 6 or higher. That would be 2 more Q1 wins and we would almost certainly be top 20 in NET.
  3. They won but barely beat a 15-16 team. If they don't get Kolek back for the NCAA tournament they will be an upset pick in the first round.
  4. I think with Hunter it's a mindset thing. When he plays aggressively on the offensive end it also translates to the defensive end. Where we really need Hunter is on the defensive end to offset the defensive liabilities of Abmas/Horton. At times, Hunter can be a very good on-ball defender. Today his defense was as good as his offense but that gets back to the mindset point. When he's only taking 5 or 6 shots a game he doesn't look nearly as engaged defensively.
  5. This is especially true with the way teams are defending Abmas.
  6. OU @ Baylor (which I think we win if Disu was healthy) Oklahoma State KSU WVU Baylor Texas Tech
  7. Hunter's big issue is just lack of aggression. We are 4-7 in Big 12 games when Hunter has less than 10 FG attempts. We are 5-2 when he has 10+ FG attempts. He just needs to keep shooting.
  8. I think it's a smart gameplan but OU over did it today. Hedging Abmas all the way out to half court with 2 guys is doing too much to stop 1 guy.
  9. That's the type job you have to take when you choke your fiance. It was a desperation move made by Ole Miss. It's going to be funny when Beard bolts after a year and all Ole Miss gets is bad PR for a year. Karma has a funny way of working things out for programs that do shit like this.
  10. I'm far from sold on Terry but his adjustments after the 1-3 start are why we finished 9-9. Moving Hunter off ball, limiting Horton's minutes, and completely eliminating Oneyma's minutes were key adjustments that made us a better team. I'm not sold on RT but the haters should also recognize that RT made some pretty good decisions this year.
  11. I definitely didn't think we would finish 9-9 after the UCF loss. Also, RT should get some credit. Moving Hunter off ball, playing Horton fewer minutes, and almost completely eliminating Onyema's minutes were key adjustments.
  12. Also, I think our seed is much higher than some bracketologists currently have us. Our resume based on historical precedent averages a 6.3 seed (per T-Rank). If we win a game in the Big 12 tournament, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a 6 seed. That's almost a guarantee if we win 2.
  13. I don't think his tenure at Marquette has been much different. He's only won 1 game in the NCAA tournament in 3 seasons with some good teams. Maybe that changes this year but doubtful if Kolek is injured.
  14. I would say Disu was finally back to full strength around the Cincinnati game. That's when he started playing big minutes. T-Rank has us as the 14th best team since then. That also includes the Baylor game where Disu didn't play much so could be even ranked higher.
  15. Yeah, I think you can make a real argument we're undervalued because of Disu's health. If Disu was healthy the entire season we're probably top 20 in every advanced metric. Maybe even top 15.
  16. This is true but we also played Louisville without our best player (Disu). We are a couple wins better with a fully healthy Disu throughout the season.
  17. I know Brock only started because of SR day but we should probably stick with that. Brock > Mitchell and IMO Mitchell is better as a spark plug type off the bench.
  18. Kind of a weird season. If we had a healthy Disu against Baylor we could very well be ranked in the top 25 headed into the Big 12 tournament. We are a borderline top 25 team by most advanced metrics (kenpom, NET, etc). I don't think that's the perception of most of this board but here we are.
  19. Porter Moser showing that graphic of the Kansas game where Disu and Abmas had 0 points with us down 20 didn't work out for him. His gameplan was obviously to take away 1 of of those guys but you can't just leave other guys wide open the entire game.
  20. OU without Soares would be an incredible draw for us in the Big 12 tournament. I would think OU will adjust defensively. They can't overhelp this much on Abmas.
  21. If other guys will just move off the ball like this they can get open looks like this the entire game. OU has been hedging two guys at Abmas the entire game. If Soares is injured we definitely want OU in the Big 12 tournament.
  22. OU's entire gameplan this game was to take away Abmas. They've been hedging two guys at him the entire game. Take note Hunter and everyone else. If you move off the ball you can get great looks like this the entire game.
  23. Huh? That was the turning point of the season. We weren't going to make the tournament with Hunter at point. I think they made the change after the UCF home loss.
  24. OU is #25 in defensive efficiency. They've been pretty damn good defensively most of the year. This is just what happens when Hunter hits shots.
