  1. Does anybody see Muhammad on the bench? Jak coming in before her is weird. Are we down her too?
  2. They keep ISO'ing Moore with whoever Gonzaga guards her. Vic must not think they can guard her.
  3. Good start and we got Booker/Gaston some rest. Both players we are going to need for huge minutes.
  4. An ugly grind in the 1st quarter but that's exactly what we want. We are hedging everything and daring Gonzaga to go inside.
  5. My god, we are the most unluckiest teams with injuries. Sounds like Jones is out with a concussion.
  6. Vic "If we play horse today it's not going to be very fun." Sounds to me like he doesn't want us shooting outside against this team. Pound the paint.
  7. Feels like we need a big game from Taylor Jones. I don't think they have anybody inside that can guard her.
  8. Dating back to the '11-12 season, Shaka has 4 tournament wins and all are against double digit seeds. He's just a bad tournament coach.
  9. The thing about Shaka is I never want to hear he's "unlucky." In 6 tournament games at Marquette he's never played anyone better than a 7 seed.
  10. It's very predictable with Shaka. All 3 of his wins in the tournament at Marquette are against double digit seeds. He's just a bad tournament coach.
  11. I guess you can never call a Sweet 16 a disappointment but Shaka was gifted a path to the Elite 8. 15 seed, 10 seed, and 11 seed.
  12. Their guards are really bad. If you just slow down the two bigs (Brink and Iriafen) you can beat them. This was a weird one. I actually think we match up better with Stanford but that's dependent on the refs letting us get physical.
  13. Shaka should just be lucky for a great draw. Granted, that's part of being a high seed but still. Remember the Colorado State team beat Colorado earlier in the year.
  14. I don't think this is even a surprising result. Stanford is soft and doesn't play any D outside of Brink. They are a very flawed team and really should have been upset in the round of 32.
  15. He's a substantially better offensive player than Mitchell and that was with a very flawed roster after Tomlin was suspended at K-State. We would have been pretty damn good with Kaluma IMO.
  16. I think Mitchell is a pretty good case study with the portal, continuity, culture, etc. While Mitchell did improve this year we would have been a much better team if we added Kaluma instead of him. IMO that was the biggest mistake Texas made in the offseason. I'm just not a firm believer in the "culture" and "continuity" arguments in today's college environment. If you think there's an upgrade out there in the portal you should go get them.
