  1. I'd rather not orchestrate a fabricated rivalry with a football program that used gang rape as a selling tool to lure players and is a textbook example of selling your soul to win football games.
  2. No. He's climbing out of the hole he dug himself and his staff after going 0-2 to Maryland with a frustrated fanbase tired of losing. I, and perhaps a lot of fans, are starting to feel better after we lost to Maryland and squeaked it against Tulsa. I'm happy we beat ousux. Not entirely happy how we won in the end. USC is not very good. TCU got beat up on by a top ranked buckeye squad. We nearly coughed it up against ousux who had one of the worst defensive performances in recent memory. Texas has needed to learn how to finish and win for the past decade (let alone win). And we did. For me, complaining about 1 4th quarter after beating a top 10 OU team is better than where we've been by a lot. But there is room for criticism.
  3. We tilted some windmills up ou's ass, amirite! ayyyy
  4. On the flip side, while we're parsing this in this unfortunate thread after a win against OUsux... it's a big decision to allow your sophomore QB who has made some soul crushing TOs, albeit as a freshman, to keep slinging the football around. When the context is we're up by that much against a ranked OU squad. Verge of the biggest win in almost a decade. Defense is playing well. OU looks gassed. And those TOs are in the back of your mind. I can see where the decision to go conservative on offense would manifest. However, we make conservative football look like some form of under water BB stacking competition. What bothers me is that we were fucking rolling. Why not roll with it till the clock hits 0s. IF your sophomore QB manages to cough a TO like he did as a freshman, then you deal with it. At the very least the rest of the offense is still feeding off the energy from the last 3 quarters. Snipping the balls, literally and figuratively, off the offense in the 4th nearly cost us. I hope we learn from that.
  5. Someone screenshot. Minus a consonant that's a positive comment.
  6. That's what we were doing the whole fucking game. Why does it take the threat of a potential mythological meltdown for us to realize that playing that way the whole fucking game is what we did when we were dominating and what we need to be doing if we want to dominate again. Again, I really, really, really don't want to poopoo this win. I'm just tired of throwing away my boxers after games like this.
  7. Penalty wise, t's clear OU told their corner to rape CJ and LJH to make them call the penalty. We should have gone after that more, result notwithstanding. That first jump ball to Collin I yelled do that all day. Having those two out there is one thing but simply throwing to them opens up the running game both for Sam and the RBs.
  8. I was saying the whole game that we weren't going to keep them out of the endzone, we just have to keep scoring. Low and behold we were doing both. 4th quarter rolls around and the offense was unrecognizable, defense starts getting tired, OU starts clawing back at us. We started to play not to lose rather than playing to win. That's an ingredient is this recipe that has been Texas football. It was like watching us go back out on O and the whole dynamic was, "Now what?". It's OU for fuck's sake. Break their fucking neck when we have the boot heel right there.
  9. When I sober up yeah that'll be my problem. How many times have we seen OU be doing that to us and it ends with them north of 60 while we can't cross the 50. Step on their throat. 4th quarter came around and we realized what was happening and then opened the door for what should have been a wire to wire ass whooping.
  10. Can't even get my thoughts together to post a lengthy rant about blah blah blah. Hell of a game from Sam. Just a helluva game.
  11. While we almost gave that one away I refuse to complain about that because this game is what it is. I had a feeling it would be a classic. I (and we) is (are) a temperamental fanbase. It's what have you done for me lately. Post-Maryland... yeah. But we just beat OU. I'll pop my crow in the microwave, replay the game, circle jerk with the rest of you heathens and see where this takes us. Hook 'em.
  12. It's your favorite win against OU. Not the saddest.
  13. Ayyyy... this thread feels like the old website.
  14. makes sense considering that's what his offense is called.
