  1. all classroom doors in our school are like this. There is a key hole on the outside, but you can open the door from the inside whether the door is locked or not. Prevents entry to the room, but anyone in the room can always escape. The doors do not allow anyone to be locked in a room, only locked out. And our procedure is that classroom doors are locked 100% of the time. We just have magnets you put in the door frame that slightly props the door so it doesn't latch. That way in a lockdown, anyone can pull the magnet and shut the door in seconds whether they have a key or not. Students can pull the magnet, etc. These magnets are specifically designed for this. You can google "lockdown magnet" and see lots of versions.

  5. Maybe he is used to meters and slipped back to that? 177 meters is like 193 yards, so that's closer at least
  6. This game changed in a hurry.
  7. All of those issues have been around way before this series. In the very original movie the Jedi were almost a myth. Some people didn't even think they were a real thing. Then the prequels came along and turns out there were hundreds of Jedi, they commanded entire groups of clone troops, they had a whole political structure on the most populous and important planet, all like 20-30 years prior to the original. Star Wars has always been poorly written and practically improvised along the way. Lucas made story decisions based on what kind of cool special effect he could do, that was all.

The Devolver presentation was pretty great. And I'ma play the hell out of the ninja turtle game.

Revisiting Top Gun made me then go down a YouTube hole of clips from Hot Shots! That movie was hilarious. Lloyd Bridges was fantastic.
  10. The internet nerds just won't think anything is as badass as the stories they made up when they were 8 playing with their star wars action figures. Those stories probably also sucked but they don't know that because they were 8 at the time.
  11. I'm enjoying the show. Nothing about any Star Wars has ever been well written. I can still enjoy it.

Wasn't the trench Death Star run in Star Wars taken directly from a WW2 movie about a dam buster bombing?

Alexander Rossi is officially moving to McLaren (Indy, not F1). Rumored for a while. They are also expanding to 3 teams.

  16. Man I would love to play this more, and I can still play it just fine on PC, but my kids are always wanting on the PC as well. I have it on XBox X and ideally would love to play it on that with my comfortable living room chair. The Xbox can load a game faster than my PC. But the port to Xbox is awful. It crashes so much as to be unplayable. Sometimes it will crash every 2-4 turns. The company that did the port doesn't seem interested in fixing anything either.

Well, all I can really remember about that movie is Gene Hackman and Denzel yelling at each other, and something about the Silver Surfer.

Then some rogue-a-stan nation. Kind of like the bad guys in Crimson Tide.

The snowy mountain terrain plus advanced anti-air and fighter jets makes it Russia or China. They leave it vague so they can still sell tickets in China.

Same reason they didnt use F22s. The plot would be boring.
  22. The real answer is Kevin Conroy.
  23. Hawndoh replied to Red Five's topic in Movies and TV
It was completely ridiculous. It was great. Fun time and worth the cost of the ticket to see it on the big screen and not wait for home viewing.

Ericsson was up there the whole race and closed it out in a strong way. He wasn't letting anyone get by.

This really plays into Kanaan and Rossi's favor. They're going to be super aggressive on the restart.
