  1. I don't see how ucf comes in and dominates the conference in the future, but with blowu leaving I suppose the conference is up for grabs. Of course, with how shitty blowu looked this year they could stay in the Big 12 and it would still be up for grabs
  2. This is the model for probably 90% of FBS programs.
  3. I would be surprised if that was correct. Not that it matters because they haven't won an outright title since they've joined the conference.
  4. Due to the media market size, it makes sense for the Big 12 to bring in UCF. UH? Politicians must have pushed that one through.
  5. Games 5-12 would provide more entertainment than most of the bcs / cfp crap from the last decade
  6. Hard not to remember, they had to do it 6 times this year
  7. Looks like the spread is down to -7.5.
  8. I bet dinners at his house were a riot
  9. Not nearly as dumb as carrying CBD while traveling in and out of Russia
  10. My immediate reaction is if you have to paint your nails to impress a chick, something is wrong. But if it gets him laid more power to him.
  11. When did the Big 12 ref bullshit really get going? Before or after we said we were leaving?
  12. I think its german for bastard son. There is too much of a resemblance going on there
  13. Ah, fats mangina. would love to see him dive into a river
  14. this makes me think of this podcast, bussin with the boys. The guys were talking about the difference between the lavish college facilities and the pros, which apparently are utilitarian at best.
  15. I wonder what this does to graduation rates
  16. Absolutely. One program that has really screwed over the years with this bcs and cfp horseshit, is Utah. They were undefeated in 2004 and 2008 (They pounded Alabama in 2008) and just pounded USC in 2022. USC probably would have been invited to the shit show if they had won by even 1 point.
  17. Teams like Villanova and Virginia would have not been champions if a committee chose a handful of teams. Every major sport in this country, except FBS football, has a legitimate playoff system in place.
  18. I agree. the guy who posted the premise was suggesting starters may move to better programs or programs for more nil money. If the guy is already a star, I don't see it because his value is likely and already recognized.
  19. I find your ideas fascinating and would like to subscribe to your newsletter
  20. Yeah I agree. I don't see how a team could just live in the portal. I think the core has to be high school players that get developed in house and establish culture and then the rest are filled out with transfers and possibly juco players. Which actually makes me wonder, has the newer transfer / portal rules diminished the value of many juco players? I would think the best ones will always have a spot, but perhaps the fringe ones have to now accept offers to lower tier programs.
  21. That's interesting premise and I wonder if that should be a concern. That said, does a player that has proven he is a star need to transfer? Wouldn't they just go pro? One guy that comes in mind is Andrew Luck. He was slotted to be a very high draft pick his last 2 years at Stanford. Why would he transfer to a different school?
  22. I see a bit of a similarity between the newer portal and transfer rules and how schools like Kansas State operate (or used to) They were juco heavy and often times, it worked out for them. So basically, bringing in older and possibly more experienced / stronger players.
  23. Is this shit real? Is that baker doing a peter pan / gay gymnast impression?
  24. That's an interesting take. I know these schools do not fit your scenario, but it would be fun to see a school like Vanderbilt or Kansas refuse to recruit anything less than 4 star players. I wonder if they would be able to field a team
