  1. Perhaps, but it's probably a good idea to let the ump make the call before celebrating and heading towards the dugout.
  2. 3 run triple by Hamilton. Glad to see him starting to hit.
  3. You seriously think this is analogous? Chappaquiddick happened just over a year after Bobby Kennedy was killed, and Teddy was widely viewed as the logical successor to the Kennedy mantle and the leadership role in the Democrat party that came with the Kennedy name, and as a future president. It really is not possible to overstate the monopoly the Kennedys had on the Democrat party, or the hold they had on political life in this country at this time. This event was huge in its implications for America's political future. On the other hand, Laura Bush was an unknown 17 year old high school senior at the time of her accident. Neither she nor her family were involved in politics, she didn't know George Bush at the time, and probably hadn't even heard of his father yet. Also, she didn't cravenly leave survivors to die at the scene while her family plotted a cover-up. There is nothing analogous in these situations.
  4. Game; 4-1 Texas completes the sweep
  5. YES!!!! Double brings home Hamilton. 4-1 Texas.
  6. Leadoff walk for the Horns. Make em pay for it this time guys.
  7. HA! Strike 'em out, throw 'em out to end the inning. On to bottom 8, still 3-1
  8. How many strike 3s can they stare at?
  9. Great job by the Horns to get out of that with no damage done. On to bottom 7, still 3-1.
  10. game...9-5 Horns. Nice comeback.
  11. 3 outs to go...shut this down now.
  12. Great inning for the good guys. Breathing a little easier now.
  13. Can't believe they're pitching to this guy.
  14. True. The most frustrating thing is that the inconsistency is not just from game to game, but sometimes from inning to inning, or even batter to batter. Maddening.
  15. Why is out bullpen so inconsistent?
  16. Other than Nolan Kingham, no.
  17. So, sitting in my freezer, I have a small (13 Lb.) turkey I bought back in November to take advantage of post-Thanksgiving sales, and I'm thinking I'd like to try smoking this thing soon. I recall the old WSM thread on Shaggy had some threads about how to do this. Unfortunately that all got nuked in the handover to the new site, so I'd appreciate some pointers on smoking a turkey on a WSM, specifically brine recipes,, what kind of wood chunks work best with poultry, rub recipes, cooker temps, meat temps, etc. Thanks.
