  1. The top 32 (sometimes 33) prospects on 247 will all be 5-stars - regardless of how many stars they are showing right now.
  2. Just as an example - Justin Fields was the 11th pick in his draft and signed a 4yr 18.8 million (guaranteed) dollar deal. Given that Quinn Ewers is reportedly close to having signed ~4 million dollars worth of NIL deals it doesn't seem that outrageous to think that eventually - for a very small group of players - NIL money might approach NFL money (for a year or two). I just think the group that it effects will be so small that its insignificant. However - I think CTJ has posted before that there was at least one player who declared early that would have been financially better off if they had stayed at Texas where they would have been contributors this season rather than going to the NFL as an UDFA.
  3. I'm an idiot and only took 'Business Math' - but doesn't Points Per Drive Allowed do this better? What does it matter if you have a high stop rate but allow more points because you're giving up TD's rather FG's when the opponent does score? In the list above - Michigan has a higher 'Stop Rate' than Illinois but is giving up 27% more points per drive.
  4. If he uses a COVID year doesn't he have two more years? This will only be his third Varsity season.
  5. He's a big WR. Just an all-around great athlete with terrific hands. One issue he has had has been motivation - kid can get lazy apparently. Saban very publicly called him out for it in a press conference. But if he is dialed in he is one of the best pass-catching TE's in the country. Big time weapon for the second-half of the season.
  6. Jokes on you - I'm the dork with a pff sub...
  7. Last play in this video - Bijan jog into the endzone: "OU safety looks like he doesn't know Bijan has the ball. Probably wouldn't have mattered if he did - Bijan likely stiff-arms his face into the turf. Safety likely saved himself some embarrassment by not knowing."
  8. According to MaxPreps - through only 6 games Walton has 55 tackles, 18 TFL, and 9 sacks. He had a total of 55 tackles in 14 games last season. Having himself a hell of a year.
  9. I was thinking more like Isiah Neyor - a small school guy who put up big numbers and is looking to take a step up in competition for his last season or two. Tyrin Smith out of UTEP or Ashtyn Hawkins at Texas St. are two 'local' guys who have put up big numbers in their second seasons.
  10. I have watched zero snaps of Missouri football - but how the hell is that kid only averaging 6 yards a catch?
  11. That whole team was bad, but Rhule did not do his finest work.
  12. But does Rhule want Nebraska? I expect there will be some more exciting opportunities available. Does he spend a spend a year in Saban's program?
  13. Evan Stewart is Jimbo's TE this year. A lot of shallow stuff. A lot of standing waiting for the ball. Not a lot of chance for YAC (2.8yds after catch - last on his team among regulars).
  14. I think we're going to just have to be thankful that Murphy isn't draft eligible. PFF is just one rating service - but according to them Texas has 4 DL graded in the top 21 of Power 5 DL. 3 are in the top 13.
