  1. Yeah, the first conversation has to be with Kamala to convince her to say "Joe and I are stepping aside because we think that fresh faces" yada yada. It has to be that she doesn't want to and its voluntary from her.
  2. well, they're going to try at least. this is the only way forward.
  3. we are worried about winning an election. heysoos cristo. you don't win elections with skeletor at the top of the ticket. 90-99% of this board is voting for biden. we all get this. problem is he won't be president next year.
  4. yeah, concluding that his brain isn't as sharp as it was a few years ago takes many many degrees.
  5. My imagination says they are working through the process of talking to Kamala first, getting her onboard with not being the nominee, and getting some power brokers to agree on someone else to throw support around before announcing they are doing this.
  6. I've decided I'm going to call him Bideon
  7. we've said it a few times on here, but everyone here votes, and we all pretty much vote the same. we're talking about the million folks out of 350 million spread over a dozen states that will decide this thing.
  8. You reminded me of the Stern interview yesterday. Other than that, all he does is teleprompters. Never an interview with the NYT, LA Times, Washington Post. No layup appearances on Good Morning America joking while they bring out the adorable golden retriever of the day. No sit downs with Colbert or get his hair tousled by Jimmy Fallon. All we have to think about is his "finally defeat medicare" performance. So that is all that we have to go on. You have to give us other content to think about. It is such an obvious problem with such an obvious solution, it makes it clear that he just physically can't do those things without them being a net negative.
  9. the debate was the most consequential thing for the future of our country that has happened in years.
  10. that's not what i'd say is the cause, but whatever. it worked for 250 years before now. but opinions vary.
  11. Biggest concern for me right now is the seemingly permanent move rightward for a lot of states we've seen last decade. Ohio, Iowa, Florida: never coming back. Biden will crater and some state(s) will end up voting R that we didn't really expect. I'm concerned that gets locked in for the indefinite future for those states.
  12. Wonder if this is a cycle that gets looked back on like 1840s-1850s where every decision was just a wtf. 20 years of shit until the next Lincoln to crack some skulls. Nice way to kick it off too with John Tyler 2.0
  13. I'd like to think it was at all possible for him to do something that any normal human would do, like go on some latenight show for a sit down or do a face to face with some anchor for 30 minutes. That'd reset the news cycle. But there's a reason he hasn't been doing those up to now.
  14. Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you.
  15. (the president has a certain role in filling future scotus seats)
  16. I love it. That would help see what can be unburdened by what has been.
  17. Of course. That's true for 90% of us. The question isn't how the Best Since FDR! board is voting. It's where is this election heading. And you don't recover from "Biden's family is encouraging him to stay in the race"-level votes of no-confidence with the 20% of the electorate that will decide this thing.
  18. Hanging with ags last national championship team.
