  1. Sooner Magic!
  2. Gotta say, the Boz is holding up well given how he lived in his younger days.
  3. Arnold’s gonna feel that one
  4. Wow, great game
  5. Bo Schembechler would be proud
  6. The sideline shots of Moore do not inspire confidence that he has a plan for victory
  7. Michigan offense better come up with something here or they are going to get run in the 4th quarter
  8. I think this is what they want to do to everyone, given their limitations at QB. But if you can get out to a big lead on them like we did, they’re like a turtle on its back.
  9. I mean, look at this schedule: Mack has recruited fairly well, with halfway decent coaching this program could be winning 10 games a year in this crappy league.
  10. This game couldn’t be playing out any better for Michigan. Holding USC down on defense and running it down USC’s throat. It may be like the Penn State game last year where Michigan doesn’t pass it the entire second half.
  11. JMU gonna have that much by the 4th quarter
  12. NC State probably looked like a decent ACC opponent when Tennessee got them on the schedule (and they were ranked in the preseason) but the Wolfpack has turned out to be hammered dogshit so far.
  13. Glad to see Farrell is making the rounds to prove to the few that don’t already know it that he shouldn’t be taken seriously as a college football talent evaluator. Or much of anything else, for that matter.
  14. I think I heard that UF’s best two pass rushers from last year transferred out. Princely Umanmielen and another guy.
  15. This seems a bit like our game against Michigan in terms of talent disparity and a likely outcome. Jackson Arnold has more talent than Davis Warren, Quinn had more experience in big games and road atmospheres than Nico does, and it’s a night game, so maybe it’s closer. But if Tennessee jumps out to 24-3 halftime lead like we did, don’t expect Heupel to put the car in park for the second half like Sark did.
  16. I read You Like it Darker. It was fine but I think this was the first set of SK short stories where there wasn’t one that will stick with me. All of them seemed like variations of ones he’s done before. Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream has the antagonist who is slowly deteriorating mentally, Rattlesnakes has the vengeful ghosts of a tragic death, The Dreamers has some concepts from Revival (which in turn borrowed from some old Weird Fiction short stories), Weird Willie is a variation of Gramma. Only The Answer Man had a fresh concept that I’ll remember, even if it isn’t a great story. Apparently he started writing it in the 70’s, so maybe that’s why. It makes me a little sad to think that the Master of Horror, who I’ve been reading for 40+ years and has given me so much enjoyment, might finally be slowing down. I just got Fairy Tale and Holly and I’m glad to see some good reviews of the former on here, so fingers crossed.
  17. Top 5 for me among his novels. Just a great page turning story. And for those who don’t know, the short story “One for the Road” in the Night Shift collection is a terrific epilogue/coda to the novel.
  18. This will be great for Arch to have a week of practice where they plan the offense around his skill set.
  19. If both us and UGA stay undefeated until they come to Austin, it could be a #1 vs. #1 regular season matchup. I can’t remember that ever happening.
  20. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, but I’ll take it!
  21. So glad we are ruining SEC Final for them on Saturday nights.
  22. True freshman
  23. That was the purpose of my quotes. Florida is circling the drain already but the Aggies will say any SEC road win is like winning a playoff game.
  24. Aggies are going to be mad that Arch lighting it up is going to step all over their “big” win in the Swamp on the highlight shows.
