  1. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12085629/5fb3fba2b53e560524044931 He's been killing it for FAST as well.
  2. Perhaps but getting a guy with a great frame and good athletic upside who also has a self-reported GPA of 3.6 is important. Those PWO guys need to help elevate the APR as well as being scout team warriors. Saban is a details guy and Alabama has the 2nd highest APR in the SEC for exactly that reason.
  3. Pretty sure he's a PWO. I don't know a ton about him honestly.
  4. Combined with hiring of Terry Joseph, an absolutely terrible evaluator, this is shittastic news. Joseph's hire was fucking terrible on several levels but I was heartened a little by the fact that Chang and his staff would be in place to help ensure that Joseph couldn't fill the DB room with spares. Every single coach from the Saban tree has said this exact thing. The only one that has done well (Kirby) has done it - not by replicating the entire Bama model - but instead by dropping bags in egregious fashion. Also important, you can remake the personnel department to be more like Bama while also retaining guys that are very good at their jobs and folding them into the department. Maybe Sark will be the first to accomplish the replication but I'm not going to hold my breath. Rhule has an athletic profile for each spot and he tries to stick within the boundary of that profile and then develop them with teachers on staff. It's built on the backbone of the way that Bowden and Jimmy Johnson often ignored rankings and known players for guys that fit a specific athletic profile. It's how you avoid signing Brian Williams or RJ Henderson, etc ... There's no special sauce other than identifying athletes, the Rhule special sauce is in developing them. Chang and his team have done a good job finding those type of athletic traits - their development has been a mixed bag.
  5. Well, he's got Sarkisian's kid on the roster so ... I would hope he's a friend of the program.
  6. Donovan Green has been recruiting for aggy for more than a year. I don't think this is much of a revelation. I imagine aggy is going to trickle Green, Sylla, and Taylor out to try and combat Texas momentum. On Klubnik, I will say again that Jimbo is a fucking moron for not having him committed already - he's not getting Ty Simpson. I have a bias against most LT and Westlake kids - as you guys know and I think Klubnick is an easy take in any given year. He's simply in the same class and region as a once-a-decade type QB in Ewers and will have to see Texas play that recruitment out first. Jimbo continuing to shoot himself in the dick with DT QBs that lack accuracy (Stowers, Calzada, every FSU QB take) while ignoring free money (Klubnik) is fucking hilarious and fascinating.
  7. Eddie Smith - DB Alabama to the portal. Has played CB then moved to S :: https://247sports.com/Player/Eddie-Smith-46038981/high-school-190080/
  8. OU in the final 3 (Auburn, Oklahoma and Rutgers) for UNC transfer CB Patrice Rene :: https://247sports.com/Player/Patrice-Rene-34142/ Fong ::
  9. Most of the best 7on7 teams have guys from all over. Domani Jackson also plays for FAST Houston and is from California.
  10. He didn't have a spot - Bama has Brooks, Leary, Earle, and Hall.
  11. Plough is good hire for Boise but that’s going to be a big change from Harsin’s offense.
  12. Brandon Harris. JW Walsh. Ishmael Aristide. <--- those 3 guys are more active in talking to recruits than all of the other coaches at Texas and aggy combined. they just can't go on the road officially. Like Huff? That rule was always going to be impossible to enforce and has been roundly ignored everywhere. Most schools official accounts have been posting practice videos with all of these guys coaching for years.
  13. Getting Winfrey back was the biggest impact, imho. Like you said before - most important recruit of the 2021 class. Safety play under Grinch has been terrible and I have no idea how Fields stays on the field. It's confounding that the worst position group on the field and in recruiting is the S spot, which is Grinch's spot. Mukes looks like an OLB to me, which means the 2021 class didn't add a S. It seems like the Sooners should be looking at the portal for a S and perhaps a NB prospect -- with only 16 commits it seems like there are spots.
  14. I’m sensing low operating thetan levels in this post.
  15. Daquan Newkirk as well. Tough day for Harsin. https://247sports.com/Player/Daquan-Newkirk-83657/
  16. I know Wilkins has said he will be back but it feels like adding Morris may push him out and I’m quite sure that playing for home state Arkansas and Pittman is a pull.
  17. yeah. I'm really surprised but that is a good get for TCU.
