  1. It was a panic move in the UGA game and I think Sark was a bit blindsided by how bad Quinn was out there. We can't get caught in that situation again. Whether it means Arch gets a few starter reps in practice moving forward or a more developed contingency plan from the offensive staff, we need to be prepared.
  2. "If the time comes, if Quinn cannot pull out of this rollercoaster that he's on, at Kyle Field or any game from there on, I don't think if there's a chance of us losing that they're gonna go down with Quinn. I think we'll see Arch try to save the day. And that's just where we are at this point. We cannot afford to lose another game IMO." - Bob Shipley on OTF show yesterday I don't know how connected he is within the program anymore, but this is all I'm asking for from Sark and staff. They have to be better prepared and ready to play Arch if bad Quinn shows up. The fact that a sunshine pumper like Shipley is saying it gives me hope.
  3. I too would be stubborn about calling touchdown plays.
  4. I just realized we are talking about different plays. The pass that was batted down by Arkansas DB was late. My original comment was about this play. goldenmiss.mp4
  5. That ball was late. Amazing you can't see this stuff.
  6. Teams aren't running 3 high because they are scared of the deep ball against us. They are running it because with that look they know Quinn will become Checkdown Charlie 90% of the time, and since Sark hasn't put enough emphasis on the running game they are not overly concerned about it. That's the game plan against us. Defense plays everything in front of them, bend don't break, hope to force a turnover or FG. They were in 3 high on first drive when Quinn missed an open Golden for a touchdown. Just because we don't have the "numbers" doesn't mean opportunities aren't there, particularly vs. a shitty secondary like Ark. It's ok for Texas to force the issue.
  7. Sark absolutely deserves criticism too.
  8. Wow, didn't realize that if a defense plays 3 high that you have to automatically shut down the deep passing game. Great adjustment by Arkansas, too bad we're not allowed to make adjustments and just have to accept that we can't throw deep. Hopefully no one else runs 3 high against us!
  9. Twitter is the new Facebook.
  10. He's a POS but a smart move long term if Herman is indeed looking at an OC position. With portal/NIL these smaller HC jobs are a road to nowhere.
  11. Zero chance Quinn plays at Texas next year. Stop.
  12. I want to be clear that I think Sark deserves a lot of criticism for this situation. He's been babying Quinn in front of reporters since he returned, how proud he is of how QE handles certain situations, etc. Maybe there's some tough love behind closed doors, but it doesn't look like it. Quinn is currently in a very fragile mental and physical state, and Sark's bending over backwards to protect him at all costs. Our offensive strategy at QB looks like what you do with a 3rd or 4th string walk-on with no backup options . Short passes, don't turn the ball over, rarely take shots, eat the ball instead of trying to make a play. It's unsustainable to keep doing this shit.
  13. Quinn doesn't throw it on the rope. That's why timing and anticipation is crucial for his success.
  14. This is the perfect political tweet. The watermarked "BlueATLGeorgia" video rip of a national news segment, which then was ripped by "Democratic Wins Media" (LOL), where Trump is "demolished" by 1 minute of a calm recounting of his appointments. Check off another "Democratic Win"! Hope that user made 2-3 dollars for that post! ENGAGEMENT, BABY. So fucking glad I got off Twitter.
  15. I think Sark should do more to make sure he's ready as a contingency plan at Kyle Field.
  16. I think he's stubborn. I get why. It's ideal for the QB transition to play out the way he wants for recruiting purposes. It's healthier for the program this way. I just hope it doesn't burn us in these remaining games, but all the signs are there right now. If we're gonna stick with Quinn, take off the training wheels and kid gloves and expect more out of him.
  17. It's a terrible point. He was thrown into the lion's den with no starter reps all week with an offense that was already sputtering. I wonder how some would feel on here if Arch never entered the UGA game. Those 2-3 drives are doing a lot of heavy lifting in the "Arch isn't ready" camp.
  18. If we could pin this post it would drastically limit the back and forth on the thread.
  19. Most of us understand the QB situation and are just venting. Quinn is the starter. That said, enough of the pussyfooting and conservative play out on the field. His draft stock is sinking by the hour, his tape since the Michigan game is bad. Get him out of the pocket more and tell him to use his fucking legs and run. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. We have the best backup QB in the country. But if Quinn can be a threat AT ALL on the move, it opens up everything else on offense.
  20. You could think Malik Muhammad has been injured most of the year with how little his name has been called. It's impressive.
  21. This would be the right strategy for the A&M game. We've been protecting Quinn since his injury, but hold nothing back in this game. Literally give him a designed run early. Maybe it triggers something in his brain and gets his feet moving.
  22. Sure, if you told me before the game we won by 10, I would take it. But then you actually watch the game 5-10 minutes in and see: 1. Environment at stadium was manageable and not intimidating 2. Arkansas was not playing with their hair on fire 3. Our defense was easily holding down Green and Arkansas' offense 4. Quinn was not getting pressured that much That should be a recipe for a comfortable win. And we didn't do it. I think it says a lot that Pittman was ready to drain 2nd half clock coming out of halftime. He knew that was the only chance they had, and it got hairy for us for a little while. If we play reasonably well on offense.
  23. They put up more of a fight than Florida.
  24. The other QB we have that is 2-0 as a starter with 980 total yards and 10 TDs in less than 2.5 games?
