  1. He’s not unfazed, he’s just good at hiding it….for now.
  2. I saw two people die today, and my day is only 75% complete. Huzzah?
  3. If Montgomery doesn’t nail down the 5th starter spot in AZ I’d take a flyer on him if the snakes would eat the majority of his owed $
  4. I met the daughter/ex-wife a few weeks ago at Parker County Brewing grand re-opening.
  5. I was going for alliteration, and I refuse to acknowledge Dumas as a city instead of a sanctuary for the mentally deficient so D was out of the question.
  6. These conditions were predicted for an area ranging from Perryton to Portales to Pearsall. If you know how to cover that kind of territory I’m all ears.
  7. Joc get skinny yet or is he embracing his inner Matt Stairs?
  8. Brief due to their own fault or just the nature of the beast? Obviously I grew up a couple hours west, but we had our “badasses” just the same. 98% of those washed out and were back home within 18 months. Crazy to think that of all the legitimate badasses my part of the world produced, the only ones to make a name for themselves are Colt McCoy and Case Keenum. Those guys were so far down the list of area studs it is insane to try and comprehend.
  9. Flickerstick (or what’s left of them) reunited a few years ago for a couple shows. Wife was a huge fan, so I snagged tix. Saw them in May of ‘22 I believe at House of Blues Dallas. Honest to god I couldn’t name you a song of theirs, but she loved it.
  10. Wait until I tell you Edna from Loop lived most of her life in Fluvanna after doing a short stretch in Rhineland.
  11. My great grandma’s name was Edna Earle, but she was from Loop.
  12. You spent the majority of your adult life dealing with stupid humans. What about that experience would make you think they’ve gotten smarter since you rang the bell?
  13. I’m really not. And I don’t think I’d fit into his “posse”. I’m white, closer to 40 than 30, and have nothing to offer that would benefit him unless he finds himself shot, stabbed, or on fire. I do, however, possess enough life experience to reserve comment/judgment on a topic of this nature until further information is available. And I believe in mocking and belittling those that jump to conclusions.
  14. Now, let’s go back and quote every single bitchass that threw him under the bus and publicly shame them.
  15. 11” in Red River in the last 3 days. I won’t be dealing with the spring break fuckery, but that’s more snow than they got all of November and December combined.
  16. Went digging and found this little guy tucked away collecting dust.
  17. So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show.
  18. Next Saturday the 15th grand opening. Gonna give it a month or so before I venture over there. Apparently they’ve been giving away a shit ton of 30 day guest passes. That’ll definitely get the Azle and Mineral Wells crowd into town. No fuckin thanks.
  19. Those people are idiots and so are you for trying to ruin this thread. Take that shit the fuck out of here
  20. If we could institute a dumbass and an asshole tax (tax for being an asshole, not the body part) on our own citizens we would be out of debt by Flag day.
  21. Thanks for reminding me I need to get back to Socorro this year.
  22. Two issues with that article: Texas does not rely any more on volunteers than any other state, and Texas absolutely has a statewide professional firefighting agency.
  23. Fuck you guys for making me say something nice about dipshit, but after the wildfire deaths in the panhandle in 2017 the state reevaluated how they handle these situations beforehand and adjusted. Not as good as they could or should have, but provided more assets and infuriated more pre-planning than they ever had before. Then, in 2018 we lost a great man in Andy Loller out in the Davis Mountains. Again, the state was reactive instead of proactive, but we always say it takes someone getting killed before real change comes about. Changes were made for the better. And again, after last year’s Smokehouse Creek fire that killed a Fritch fireman and a civilian, the state finally decided they were all in. Since November of last year there have been state assets, both ground and air, pre-positioned in high hazard areas so that in the event something kicks off we can get ahead of it before it becomes too much. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go scrub myself with a bar of Lava soap and a bottle of Gojo.
