  1. We were 4-5 going into the Kansas game with herman year 1. Fun fact about that year, Maryland put 51 points on us and urban Meyer clowned on us for pixie dust. Memory lane is awesome
  2. Our players were actively recruiting against us, herman was derailing and rumors of substance abuse were starting. This year would be a catastrophic failure with herman at the helm, 2-7 and I’m not being dramatic. So no, none of Herman’s bullshit was enjoyable. That turtling shit when we clearly were the better team and then losing anyway was obnoxious and nothing like what we are doing now. It’s been discussed a shit load on here how many nfl players herman had to work with and still found a way to fuck our saturdays up repeatedly. Fuck. Tom. Herman.
  3. Herman era was more enjoyable… close this thread lol. There is no arguing with that.
  4. The qualifier is each coach has it tougher because the guy before him sucked shit through a straw. Name a coach who took over a dumpster fire with a depleted roster that isn’t a fucking hall of famer and everybody just knew he was going to be a 9-10 win guy forever. We aren’t expecting saban or even Mack, we are way past hoping for a playoff team. We need to win 9 games a couple years in a row and set a good base then build from there. Herman’s 10 win season wasn’t built on anything stable. If herman was coaching this team we would be 2-7 but with no blowouts so this board would probably be defending him somehow lol.
  5. Strong was like a father figure but couldn’t figure out how to handle the enormity of the Texas job so his players loved him but never got better. We went 180 with a complete Meat head asshole fuck face. Burnt toast, runny eggs, wouldn’t say hi to players and was always the smartest, smuggest asshole in the room who also couldn’t figure how to make his players better. 7 years of zero player development. 3 different staffs, and no accountability at all in the last 2 years. Sark was handed a flaming bag of shit on his porch. He gets paid a lot of money to fix it so no pity but to think this year was going to be anything but a shit show is more on you than on sark lol. I like to sunshine pump with the best of them but my logical side said we would be terrible and lose a lot.
  6. Clemson needing trickery to score on UConn, I miss parody in football. Fuck bama and Georgia for ruining a good thing.
  7. We should hire Mullen as a coordinator after this samford game is over. The Mullen era is over lulz
  8. Florida and Samford tied….wut lol
  9. WR’s that catch passes consistently sure does help sustain drives. I hate life
  10. The last minute of big noon kickoff has been the funniest shit I’ve ever watched. They can’t hear each other and it’s muffled because the Baylor PA system is so fucking loud. The looks on their faces at first had me dying, bush pushing his ear piece in further. What a shit show haha
  11. I wouldn't run a black light around the inside either!
  12. Jerrin Thompson let Caleb Williams treat him like a bitch on a 60 yard TD run.
  13. We have the portal article ready to go, Jesus. Somebody should abduct all those Texas 9.95ers and water board them in a basement one by one for a fuckin week. Tell them as they walk out shell shocked that from here on out you write positive shit for this program or shut the fuck up and the very next time you fuck something up for us you’ll be back here in this basement. That got a little dark sorry. Those guys are a beating.
  14. Have you ever looked at the big 12 records year by year? lol. In 2018 two teams won 10 games or more and we won our 10th by winning our bowl game so that's an outlier honestly. In 2019 there were two teams that won 10 games or more. In 2020 not a single team won 10 games in the big 12. Covid year but iowa state played 12, both oklahoma teams played 11 so the conference kinda blows after oklahoma bud. The difference in us and them is that for 4 years under herman we chased stars and not scheme fits. The other top teams in the big 12 recruit to match their scheme and have been doing that consistently for years. If you recruit a kid like alfred collins for example and play him in a position he's not built for it doesn't matter if he gets better physically he will never look better on the field.
  15. Baylor won the Big 12 with a high powered bad ass offense that Art briles built, rb's sache leastrunk and shock linwood, OL cyril richardson and spencer drango, they had a slew of NFL WR's, Xavien Howard was a DB and has become one of the premier CB's in the nfl. They won a bunch of games with a hesiman winner in RG III. Those teams were fucking stacked. Iowa state two deep was posted and they have a ton of good talent, not to mention their rb evals are probably the best in the country bang for your buck. TCU in 2014 had treyvon boykin who was a pyscho but a stud, aaron green at rb who was pretty good, josh doctson at WR was damn good, and in typical fashion Patterson had a bunch of defensive players drafter from that team. The other big 12 dominate team is oklahoma and their talent speaks for itself. TCU has done nothing but get defensive players drafter in the first-third rounds for years now. 2011 ok state squad quick check on sports reference shows 10 future NFL players on that roster. The teams that win big have one thing in common and that's an influx of talent at one time. We don't have an influx of shit, or all we have is an influx of shit hahaha.
  16. This was exactly what my post about Bo Davis bringing in dogs was about. I understand that Hartzell, eltife, cdc etc need to push perfection and excellency, hard work and results but if you don’t have the mean, tough players shitting on the weak ones when the coaches aren’t there to watch then none of what Sark says will ever matter. It’s ridiculous that Bo had to tell them to stop laughing about the 4th dumpster fire abortion of a game they lost. After Alabama lost to aggy if somebody laughed an upperclassman DL/OL probably stuck their foot in that kids ass. The coaches at bama and Georgia spend their time coaching and recruiting now. Their upper class leaders handle the culture. I only say any of this because foster, Moore, coburn…and whoever else Bo was screaming at are not kids you can have in the locker room if you want to even attempt to develop a better culture. Sark has been swimming up river thanks to herman. I’m not saying poor sark by any means, just that this rebuild is going to be a long, brutal process.
  17. Bo Davis appears to have some dogs coming in to help the DL. I imagine a group of big mean ass dudes can help change a culture quickly. Worthy, Bijan, and rojo can only do so much. OL and DL need to be the knee breakers so to speak. Nobody was going to talk back to Sendlein back in the day.
  18. I missed the bottom part here where the percentage reflects the record. 67% gets you 9-3 not 8-4. Every coach they’ve hired since Bryant has won 10 games at least once in their tenure. You wouldn’t take guaranteed 9-3 for 24 years in between the two greatest coaches of all time? I feel like that’s bullshit lol. From 1959-1975 Royal was a win machine, from 1998-2009 Mack won like it was going out of style. Outside of that Texas probably averages 6-7 wins.
  19. I need to make a new one with this gif tha says “can they tho” haha
  20. We fired Mack thinking we had saban, then made a splash hire in chuckles. We pursued urban which went public immediately and then fired herman and went with option B. I don’t think strong, herman, or sark were real coaching search hires. My point is all 3 of those guys need longer than 3 or 4 years to figure out how to coach Texas but we aren’t patient enough for that kind of long game. TCU did it with Patterson, leach at tech, Snyder at k-state. Those guys had ROUGH years but they also had some damn good ones. Given the talent difference we are able to acquire maybe just maybe a long term coach could work itself out. It’s maddening that we hire guys who aren’t ready and when they prove they aren’t ready we fire them lol.
  21. Those examples are so this petulant bratty ass fan base understands that it doesn’t always look good or even serviceable at first. That stoops example is great but we aren’t going 13-0 next year like he did lol. I’ll admit that. Rhule, Aranda, hell even Matt Campbell and Jimbo were given a chance to put their system in place, took some awful lumps and it worked out. We hire a guy, see something bad and shit on the coach. If herman hadn’t gone off the rails maybe we give him a chance to mature and become a good head coach. He fucked that up and didn’t let us even try the patient approach lol. Let’s try the patient approach this time maybe?
