  1. Surly Twitter is definitely ran by the right kind of asshole.
  2. Same.
  3. That's a low blow man
  4. I, too, want to know this. I wish the young man a speedy recovery but damn if you break both legs at once it's probably a sign.
  5. That's just not right. I'm hopeful that you politely, but firmly, asked them to never, ever do that again.
  6. Do with this what you will.
  7. Seems like a waste of good brisket.
  8. Said he went to Houston three times and never been anywhere else in TX.
  9. In Baum East or Baum Main? Here's a few map shots to give folks perspective. You'd definitely need to grab that shuttle if parking down there. That's a damn jaunt.
  10. That sounds pretty chill. Will they keep the big TV on showing the game? Can I put a tent and a lawn chair in front of it and just watch the game from there?
  11. Huh? You talking about coleslaw on the side or actually ON the meat? Only slaw I've ever had on meat was in El Reno, OK at Sid's diner and they sell slaw dogs. Pretty damn good but I wouldn't even know how to describe it.
  12. As you can see, there is not a ton of parking around the stadium. Anyone going to the game should be prepared to hike to get to the stadium. Also, Arkansas drivers are not as bad as Oklahoma drivers but they are close so look both ways crossing the street. And, lastly, when you go into a bar on Dickson get the free wristband that allows you to walk to the next bar with a drink in your hand. Without one of those you're looking at a PI and if Baker can't outrun the Fayetteville police I doubt many of you old heads can.
  13. According to a 5' 4" loudmouth drunk from Virginia, Texas BBQ isn't even in the top 5 states for BBQ. This idiot tried to tell me that KC BBQ was better and that he had never had good ribs or good brisket any of the times he visited Texas.
  14. I just want to know where the fuck they're gonna park this thing. I may have to run out of state on business but if not I'd swing by and drop off some Yeungling for the boys
  15. Screenshotted and filed away. Will be expecting chili pics in approximately 5 weeks
  16. .....plus tips?
  17. Pantry pic for proof or no one will believe you.
  18. I, for one, hope they have every available starter and a plethora of backups because... A) They're going to need it if they even want to put up a fight. B) That lame ass excuse gets so old and I really don't want to hear "We would've won if we had our best WR on the field" or whatever that case may be. Bring your best, we'll bring our best and may the best team win.
  19. I haven't tried Herman's or Hugo's yet but JJ's is always solid and I wasn't a fan of the Catfish Hole. If Catfish is going to be in the name it should at least be good. I thought Flying Fish in Bentonville was better catfish. I'll have to try The Rail sometime. You're the third or fourth person that has mentioned their wings.
  20. I once hurt a competitive BBQ'er's feelers because I told him his brisket looked dry and it didn't have any bark on it. He doesn't speak to me anymore. Virginians are apparently pretty fucking soft.
  21. There's uh....not much. Pretty decent wings at Foghorn's. Take a short drive up to Rogers and you have Longhorn Steakhouse, Ruth's Chris, a bunch of chain taco joints like Fuzzy's, Tacos 4 Life, Torchy's, Chuy's, etc. I gotta hand it to Oklahoma. At least they have decent food there. When we first moved to Arkansas we tried all the local recommendations and were thoroughly disappointed. Especially Doe's Eat Place in Bentonville. That is supposed to be the good steakhouse in town. It's not. Unless you like your ribeye overcooked and sinewy
  22. Well if it's got beans in it it is probably a stew. I'll just leave it at that.
