  1. No, no they don't, but keep telling yourself that and I guess I can equate Texas and ATM since both teams primary color is on the shit end of the color wheel.
  2. Why would a Church of Christ school be considered the "little bro" of a Disciple of Christ school? TCU isn't nearly as close to be a "Church" school as ACU.
  3. whomever handles social media for tcu sports does a trash job at it they are an embarrassment in a number of ways beyond this one
  4. Sounds like some of the crap Tex Schram used to do back in the day.
  5. Unfortunately it took a very long time for Curly Culp to get elected into the HOF and he is the OG of NFL nose guards. Way, way too much emphasis on stats and not on the impact in the game. He should be in, but does he get hurt by Steeler fatigue?
  6. Am I am terribly unwoke and bad person if I say that after watching Ma Rainey's Black Bottom I felt Davis and Boseman's characters felt more like stereotypes and I have yet to understand like most of those movies what the fuss was other than it being Boseman's final role. Other thing is if a good number of those movies were released on a streaming service will we continue to see this blurring between "theater" movies and "streaming" movies?
  7. Agree on the green and the car looks like three different designers each were assigned a section of the car, talked about ideas, never worked together, and never saw the others work until the finished product was rolled out for the unveiling.
  8. Not sure that is even a graduated fading of red to burgundy. Back part of the car looks like they ran out of red paint and grabbed whatever can of paint that was in the garage and close to red to finish the car. I also don't like the black edge on 80% or some of the bottom of the car.
  9. Had Roach been day drinking when the idea of Joey McGuire came to him?
  10. How can Long still possibly have a job at Kansas?
  11. Think the Frogs got the better end of that trade of offensive linemen on paper. Austin at times looked like he was made of paper blocking last season which was a big letdown from how he looked 2-3 years ago.
  12. To move through the town that looked like the stereotypical African village.
  13. Fuck no, his team lost to a shitty TCU team not once, but twice. Futhermore, their game management the last 5 minutes of each game was total dog shit. Do you know how hard it is to get out coached by Dixon at the end of a game?
  14. Very good point. The scene with T'Challa and Nakia walking through a city with advanced technology, levitating train, and dirt streets.
  15. The fact that Murphy's daughters, part of the royal family, had to defend themselves with sticks and table legs instead of having armed guards inside the palace must be part of this believable enough story. Right up there with there being no paved roads leading to and from the palace of this prosperous African country. Film school students could have done a better job of minding the details and it is interesting at the very end of the credits there is a thank you to Art Buchwald's family.
  16. Getting frustrated or have been frustrated for a while? Way too many old alums who remember the "glory" days of Killer and Dixon who excuse every fucking loss. He won't be going anywhere for a season or two more, but the big question is did the Frogs actually save UCLA from a big mistake.
  17. Word is he is one of the better hitting high school prospects to come out of Houston in some time.
  18. Not only did he not see the field with the Frogs, but I don't think he was on the roster or in the program.
  19. The lineup TCU rolled out was overmatched, but I don't think that will be the lineup for the Frogs when conference play comes around in a few weeks. They returned a number of seniors who came back with last year's season getting wiped out for the pandemic and I don't think they can hold their positions. Schloss started a group of younger players last night against TSU and they were the players who did most of the damage last night at the plate. Mid-week TSU pitching staff isn't near what the Frogs saw last weekend, but I do think it showed they aren't going to stay with guys who aren't going to hit and the next month of ball will go a long way to if the Frogs are a legit contender or middle of the pack.
  20. If think he will eventually end up following the pathway of Omar Manning, Dwight Smith, and a few other Frog football players who quietly disappeared from the program.
  21. Supposedly Marcel struggled to actually learn what linebackers do besides run fast at the guy with the football.
  22. He has a great deal of upside, but I would bet he grows out of the position and into an offensive lineman eventually for the Sooners. Not really a shock as TCU hasn't effectively used the tight end since I think Kelly Blackwell and Riley has killed the TCU defense with forcing their safeties and linebackers to have to cover the tight end and h-back. Simply put the video on and ask the kid which offense he wants to be part of and there is your answer.
  23. The question isn't his ability to produce, but how long will he produce at an elite level? In 1977 Ellis Valentine was a 22-year budding star in the same outfield as a 22-year old Andre Dawson. Ellis had two more big years and then never came close to those numbers while Dawson had a very good and long career. Trust what you are saying, but the 14-years just seems like a really long time for a guy who plays a demanding position in the field and who swings as hard as he does to stay healthy and in all honesty stay motivated knowing he has that security.
  24. Isn't the average MLB career just under 6 years? Sure someone has done the math for the Padres, but that is a pretty big assumption that even ten years into the contract you still want to keep him around. How many guys have stayed above average to average in all areas of their game for 10+ years?
  25. I keep forgetting that the target for the social media campaigns are primarily high school students and the occasional adult who finds comfort and self worth in these messages.
