  1. Getting frustrated or have been frustrated for a while? Way too many old alums who remember the "glory" days of Killer and Dixon who excuse every fucking loss. He won't be going anywhere for a season or two more, but the big question is did the Frogs actually save UCLA from a big mistake.
  2. Word is he is one of the better hitting high school prospects to come out of Houston in some time.
  3. Not only did he not see the field with the Frogs, but I don't think he was on the roster or in the program.
  4. The lineup TCU rolled out was overmatched, but I don't think that will be the lineup for the Frogs when conference play comes around in a few weeks. They returned a number of seniors who came back with last year's season getting wiped out for the pandemic and I don't think they can hold their positions. Schloss started a group of younger players last night against TSU and they were the players who did most of the damage last night at the plate. Mid-week TSU pitching staff isn't near what the Frogs saw last weekend, but I do think it showed they aren't going to stay with guys who aren't going to hit and the next month of ball will go a long way to if the Frogs are a legit contender or middle of the pack.
  5. If think he will eventually end up following the pathway of Omar Manning, Dwight Smith, and a few other Frog football players who quietly disappeared from the program.
  6. Supposedly Marcel struggled to actually learn what linebackers do besides run fast at the guy with the football.
  7. He has a great deal of upside, but I would bet he grows out of the position and into an offensive lineman eventually for the Sooners. Not really a shock as TCU hasn't effectively used the tight end since I think Kelly Blackwell and Riley has killed the TCU defense with forcing their safeties and linebackers to have to cover the tight end and h-back. Simply put the video on and ask the kid which offense he wants to be part of and there is your answer.
  8. The question isn't his ability to produce, but how long will he produce at an elite level? In 1977 Ellis Valentine was a 22-year budding star in the same outfield as a 22-year old Andre Dawson. Ellis had two more big years and then never came close to those numbers while Dawson had a very good and long career. Trust what you are saying, but the 14-years just seems like a really long time for a guy who plays a demanding position in the field and who swings as hard as he does to stay healthy and in all honesty stay motivated knowing he has that security.
  9. Isn't the average MLB career just under 6 years? Sure someone has done the math for the Padres, but that is a pretty big assumption that even ten years into the contract you still want to keep him around. How many guys have stayed above average to average in all areas of their game for 10+ years?
  10. I keep forgetting that the target for the social media campaigns are primarily high school students and the occasional adult who finds comfort and self worth in these messages.
  11. You think the Big 12 did Baylor a favor by postponing the TCU game? If you aren't Oklahoma State or a bottom dweller we aren't threatening anyone this year.
  12. Highest ranked signing class in SMU history is a fucking joke. They signed Craig James, Eric Dickerson, Charles Waggoner, Michael Carter, and Stanley Goodine in the '79 class which had either 7 or 8 top 100 recruits. Not top 100 recruits in the state, but the nation so even if every kid in that class was a quadriplegic that trumps this class and I will take Dickerson over Stone as the Ponies highest rated recruit ever, but that doesn't play well on social media.
  13. Tight end prospect from the Seattle area who is part of the 2021 class.
  14. I am not sure what Rice's ceiling is as a program, but Bloomgreen is trying to make them competitive in their conference which is progress for that program.
  15. Kenny is one of Gary's guys and Gary doesn't like coaches with new ideas. Apparently Kenny was big in recruiting the kid out of Naperville and he gets along with the offensive staff.
  16. Hill has been doing a great deal of recruiting for the Frogs via the phone, social media etc... and his making decisions in the offense aren't a concern for Frog fans and supporters. Gary has become the Howard Hughes of college football and paranoid to outside ideas and Kenny is one of his kids who has been in the program. No different than Fitch or Modkins. Meacham is the bigger concern because he got ran out of Ft Worth, was brought back, and basically called plays last year. The word is that the offense will be a product of Jerry Kill, former Pittsburg St HC Tim Beck, and Meacham which means two pound the rock guys and a spread HUNH guy so who knows what the offense will look like next year. Agree that right now the offensive staff shouldn't give Texas much concerns, but not because of Kenny's role. Mainly I don't trust the trio to come up with a way to use the backs and the young receivers in a coordinated offense.
  17. No, got the answers I was expecting.
  18. Guess, though I am confused how a guy who plays multiple games at Tech and would have been at Tech had Kliff handled it differently was basically a high school recruit.
  19. Did I infer you disagreed with me?
  20. So no answer from either of you other than to throw grammatical stones?
  21. Will ask you the same question I asked LTtxfan and he opted not to answer. If bringing in transfer after transfer after transfer to a program at the spotlight position of quarterback is going to hurt the high school recruiting of a program how is it that OU went through 3 straight transfer quarterbacks playing over their high school recruits and their current quarterback is not only one of the highest high school recruits at the position, but one of their top signings for 2021 is another highly regarded high school prospect at the position when does this negative impact kick in for the Sooners? Maybe the 2022 class though if Rattler does make it to the NFL as did Mayfield, Murray, and Hurts I tend to think that only strengthens their sales pitch.
  22. Exactly what is the standard for OU being successful on the field? Winning the conference and making the CFP again? The three losses don't seem to be hurting them just like the transfer quarterbacks haven't seem to impacted the interest of high school quarterbacks.
  23. Guess so, but all those transfer quarterbacks and the failure to develop the high school quarterback prospects on their roster doesn't seem to have hurt their recruiting at that position.
