  1. He and Luck are besties. Or something like that
  2. Tosh Lupoi to Cal looks nailed on, details are being ironed out. On3 stating recruits are being told he is the new coach and other insiders stating things are moving extremely rapidly with donors lined up to pay for him
  3. He is an athletic freak if I remember right. When he committed to Cal the mods were all “uhhhh NFL body like now”. I think he is pretty raw but I am going off memory from 6 months ago. High upside player but might take a year or two to find his sea legs
  4. Furd provides "free" housing to their football coaches as part of their salary package. It is straight up country club shit but a very nice incentive because PA and the surrounding Silicon Valley is definitely crazy $
  5. Wilcox is a really not good head coach in virtually every area except being a nice guy. DC is his level. No idea if Lupoi will be a good HC or not but dunno how anyone can say he’d be a step down
  6. All depends on his coordinator choices. The $ wants him so I think it’ll happen. He won’t be calling plays but setting culture and recruiting and he is good at that.
  7. He is a very good to outstanding DC IMO. He was a safety when he played but I seem to remember him as a LB coach mostly before his DC days? Can’t quite remember. Wouldn’t be shocked at all to see him as an analyst here unless he goes to the pros
  8. Wilcox fired… official
  9. Ahhhhh feels so good. Lot of money guys refused to give because they thought Wilcox sucked and it was wasted $. Tosh Lupoi is the likely choice to replace
  10. Agreed, he is a very good defensive mind. There has also been speculation that he has his eyes on a pro job because the college stuff has worn him out
  11. Justin Wilcox is beyond fired at Cal after violently shitting the bed against Furd. Only question is if it is announced before or after the ass kicking next week against SMU
  12. For the one and only time in my life I will say “thank you, Furd. You are dogshit and your campus looks like a Taco Bell but you put the nail in the Justin Wilcox coffin. For that, Bless you.” wait, you also dragged us with you into the ACC otherwise we’d be Oregon State right now. Ok, I say thank you twice but that’s it. Now go fuck yourself off to hell
  13. Neto has to be pissed at his exclusion
  14. at least it wasn't a violent buttfucking. So we got that going for us
  15. Man, seems like a lot of peeps on here want Nicole nekkid pics
  16. The win means he doesn’t get canned this week but I would be surprised if he is back. 9 years and this is arguably his worst team. Don’t let the record fool you, their schedule is beyond weak and they shit the bed numerous times this season. Wilcox needed 8-4 at a minimum to survive and while it’s still possible, it is believed that he is also exhausted by all the struggles and may look for a Pro job like his bestie, Peter Sirmon, got last season. I wouldn’t be surprised by a quiet separation sooner rather than later. The win versus Louisville shows he hasn’t lost the team but if they had gotten rolled, he was gone by Monday
  17. I guess Wilcox isn't getting tarmac'd after all
  18. The team sucks and it was the easiest schedule in at least 50 years. Plus, the chances they finish better than 6-6 are remote. Wilcox needed an 8-4 with that shit schedule to stay alive.
  19. Not high on many peeps radar but Justin Wilcox is all but done at Cal. Negotiated buyout discussions underway behind the scenes. Might be announced as soon as after the Louisville game this weekend. Definitely no later than after the last game against SMU. The money at Cal wants Tosh Lupoi and supposedly there is reciprocal interest. We'll see.
  20. I feel like this thread has veered wildly off topic. To get us back on track: Is Neto L’Oréal’s baby daddy or not?!?
  21. Ooof, Cal beating the shit out of Oregon State was the easiest money of the week. Maybe the year. If Cal’s WRs could catch and a bullshit PI wasn’t called on a pick 6, that game was headed towards 55-9. 34-15 flattered the Beavs big time
  22. Ott left because his RB coach got shitcanned and that guy was a father figure to him. He also coddled him. New RB coach came in, took no shit from Ott and punished him for sloppy play which he had gotten away with for years. Didn’t like it and left. Ott has always had an ego that needed stroking and has had to be talked into staying off and on several times over the years. He’s also susceptible to people in his ear telling him how great he is. OU was tampering for a while and he was going to bail before spring but he got a raise. Then his coach got shoved and he did a lot of up downs and running and when OU came back, he listened to the Cal sux, OU rules shit he was fed and bailed. Got his degree so cool, good for him. Bad biz decision IMO. Harsin is all business and brought in coaches who are similar. Some guys didn’t like it and bailed… whatevs, the pussies left… Endries not among that number, he left for a shot at a national title. But Cal’s offense will be significantly better this year. Rivera is changing the football culture at Cal. CTJ is correct that historically, Cal is a clusterfuck for revenue sports. Rivera is raising big money quickly though and adding in staff and working on facilities they have lacked previously. Wilcox, an average at best HC, is now focused on defense and doesn’t have to deal with booster shit anymore. Harsin has the offense. Cal will be a lot better this season and have a ridiculously easy schedule. Easiest money of the year is this weekend in Corvallis. OSU -1.5? Cal will win by 3 tds+. They have huge advantages on both lines and will run over the Beavs and Murphy will get pummeled
  23. $800k-ish is the number I heard on the Cal side re: OU. Cal was going to overpay him at close to $1M because of the brand recognition and legacy stuff. They reinvested that money and brought in extra OL, ILB and Edge because they didnt pay Ott. Good fucking investment I say
  24. Allegedly, Ott has incentives in his NIL deal that require him to play to get some of his $. He turned down a bigger guaranteed payday at Cal to get less total $ at OU and some of it is dependent on snaps. Lulz. He left cause his RB coach got shown the door and the new guy didn't coddle him and made him do up/downs when he missed blocks in Spring ball. OU filled his ears with BS and he bought in. So now he'll make less money, get killed behind OU's shit OL and the brutal schedule they play and probably lessen his chance at a good draft spot next season (if he gets drafted at all). So fucking dumb
