  1. Thats all the same source being referenced.
  2. I would definitely need to know more facts about what is going on. The two sides are telling two very different stories. He was signed as a transfer and was very well sought out by a lot of G5 schools. I’m assuming he chose UNLV based on financial promises made to him. If they didn’t honor those, well what is his recourse if this is his final year of eligibility? Just play and oh well life isn’t fair? Or is the story true that UNLV is pushing? He asked for more money after a good start to the year and being tampered with? There is no middle ground on facts here. One side’s story is a lie.
  3. Unfortunately you could see this coming from a mile away. It sucks that he didn’t work out but hopefully we can allocate his NIL to a portal guy.
  4. Gbenda is fine. He still makes terrible run fit decisions at least once a game but otherwise is perfectly adequate. But he’s not the second best linebacker on the team. If we are pushing the chips in this year to go for a title I would love to see if he could play WLB next to Hill at some point.
  5. It’s not just his punchable face. Why does he talk like that? Why cant he just string an entire sentence together? He talks with the brutally awkward pauses.
  6. Yee it’s good news that guy who cannot get himself into shape is also turning out to be a team cancer. Hip hip hooray!
  7. They forced Gabriel out to make room for a guy they bench four games into the year. That’s some Charlie Strong level QB roster management. This is not going to end well.
  8. If we learned anything from his time at Texas, he likes being the man in charge. He likes doing favors for connected alumni. He likes giving jobs to sons and daughters of family members and close friends. He is not going to walk away or resign until they basically throw him out. Expect UNC to get burned to the ground first like he did here on the way out.
  9. I know they play different positions but I would love to see this guy overtake Gbenda at will. This guy needs to be a starter at linebacker.
  10. It’s always a good idea to evaluate Utah defensive recruits from Texas.
  11. Why does he look like a wax figure?
  12. Jordan Washington is our big ticket item at tight end. Unless something derails his development curve, he seems to be the most likely starter next year. I also do not see us taking a RB early in the transfer portal with six scholarship backs on the roster next year. That needs to be a wait and see if guys are not on track for recovery or we lose someone to the portal. If Baxter is on track to play, you have a logjam again.
  13. Unless Jerry Jones gets a hard on for him, teams usually don’t draft lineman that high who commit 1-2 procedural penalties a game. Williams has to clean that up or I would expect him back. DJ Campbell lol at that one. If he declares good luck to him. That will not go well for him.
  14. For sure the flag was thrown on the South Carolina defender because of the Latin American Futbol style embellishment by Nuss. That being said, you cannot go head hunt the QB after a turnover and players know that and any good team gets that coached into them. You could tell the defender knew he was right on the line when he threw his hands up to say “I didn’t do anything!” which actually means I did something but please don’t throw a flag on me. Just stay away from hitting the QB. Nuss was not about to tackle anyone. You put yourself in that position needlessly if you do that.
  15. Watching Arch look back at Denver Harris as he ran into the end zone was fantastic.
  16. Just rewatched the game. Like Wingo getting up to speed, to fully weaponize this team we need someone to overtake Gbenda. There was an entire drive that UTSA specifically targeted his over pursuit or lack of speed in coverage. I’m hoping Smith can eventually overtake Gbenda.
  17. After he nearly lost us the Kansas State game single handily, bizarrely the references never appeared.
  18. The myth of what happened to Wally Pipp has become reality. It’s a pretty clear reference now. Or Drew Bledsoe’ed if you like.
  19. If Ewers gets Pipp’ed it will take both the combination of his strain being more than minor and Arch developing on a faster learning curve than Ewers. It’s possible that in 4-5 weeks Arch is noticeably better and it’s also possible he needs more time. Either way, the waters are definitely muddy at that point.
  20. Very pedantic. You only earn that description when you get injured a lot. He’s been injured multiple ways now and it’s very reasonable to say the guy is injury prone. He’s had bad luck (Anderson landing on him), poor decisions (going head first in the Houston game) and strains and pulls associated with a body that’s prone to injury. Ewers is injury prone.
  21. Simmons was held on a play last night by the right tackle who literally reached out and grabbed his collar as he went by right in front of the official. It allowed the QB to get outside of the picket. Just brutal.
  22. Look, I get what you are saying but if you get injured ever year you play football including now a freak injury you are certainly injury prone. Bad luck can be part of that equation but the reality is Ewers gets hurt a lot. At least now we have a legit backup QB to get us through unlike last year when we were holding on for dear life when Murphy stepped in.
  23. Napier is about to get fired. Who do we target on their roster? Eugene Wilson to put with Wingo and Cook next year?
  24. Arch is still pretty green in feeling pressure and recognizing blitzes. That will just take time. He is still best utilized making a quick read or throwing on the move. It will come for him in time. Ewers is locked in and playing like a three year veteran and he gives us our best chance to win today. Arch being forced to start past the Miss St game is not a good thing for Texas.
