  1. He will have no regrets. They money whipped him for reasons that are not known to anyone. Even if he fails in epic fashion he will walk away with millions.
  2. This does remind me it’s not all doom and gloom. RB, DL, TE, LB and possibly QB if a certain hall of fame legacy commits to us are stocked at Alabama like levels. Our problems are just so concentrated to a few position groups and that’s fucking annoying.
  3. I’m rooting for Nebraska today but this is still worth reposting:
  4. Here was the media narrative last week: https://apnews.com/article/joe-biden-business-health-coronavirus-pandemic-4d0d18b24e0dd41de2424e19b3ed994f The implication of the article is Desantis is pushing a treatment for financial purposes. Not for medical reasons. Fauci today announced this is an effective treatment. And before the two separate large scale trials on Ivermectin are complete, here is the Google news clip on the drug. It’s already being described as a false treatment despite the ongoing trial. Now, it’s possible the findings are it’s not effective. But this is the media coverage BEFORE that has been scientifically determined. It’s already been designated as a false treatment. It’s obviously reckless to self medicate and certainly a terrible idea to avoid the vaccine. That being said, the media should not drive a narrative against a potential treatment for political reasons.
  5. You won’t have another IPA when you fully convert to wine and whiskey.
  6. Well, I am concerned the well is being potentially poisoned on Ivermectrin if it does end up working. The context by which people are referring to it - and I’m not saying it isn’t without cause is that is some bizarre animal cream. Not the perfectly safe pill version being used. I shared a story from a doctor who specifically told me people with strong political beliefs are refusing the treatment. Is that because of politics? The fact that it does not have full FDA approval and still on trial and that personality tends to be more risk averse on this subject? That is revisionist history on Regeneron and media coverage. Just a week ago the media was accusing Desantis of promoting an unsafe and unproven drug because of a financial conflict of interest. Your concern about how his approaching this with this specific drug is certainly not the light it was being cast in just last week. He should be promoting the vaccine and mask use. That’s a completely fair criticism. But that wasn’t the narrative in the media coverage initially.
  7. It seems like it’s pretty much known Card will start the first game then?
  8. I did not validate any argument against a vaccine. If someone read my post as anti vaccine then they simply did not read it. If that’s is how you read it then you have more than Covid to worry about. Like the loss of basic cognitive function.
  9. I’m glad you read my post as politically motivated. I’m sure that’s the lens you see everything in based on the language you use. I shared my recent experience because I see how these treatments are getting written about in media today and I can this becoming an issue. My opinions on vaccines is well documented so I did not feel the need to comment on that subject again .
  10. My brother, a stroke survivor and very much an at risk patient is likely to be discharged from a California hospital today. He was fully vaccinated with the Pfizer shot in March. No hesitation taking the vaccine in anyone in my family fortunately. He had a breakthrough case that required hospitalization. I am his family contact so I spent most of the week on the phone with the doctor about his treatment. First question I get - “what is your political belief? We are using medicine for at risk patients that are currently in clinical trials but some people are not comfortable with that.” I was floored. How is my political belief at all relevant to treating a patient in the hospital? She went on to say some people are not comfortable with Regeneron or Ivermectrin due to the political nature of the drugs. I knew the vaccine had become a political topic on the right but did not know that treatments were political. Experimental technically but political? Then I read about the stories of ranchers and vets taking Ivermectin without the guidance of a doctor and I realized those stories have probably created a reluctance to the idea of a hospital administered dosage by pill. And that the Florida governor was promoting Regeneron so people on the left were probably automatically discounting it as a treatment. I asked the doctor, who I would describe as not a Trump supporter what she would do if she were sick? She said, these are both safe and anecdotally in use at this hospital they have been very effective. Having no medical knowledge myself I said I have no political belief that would preclude me from being for or against my treatment. If it’s not dangerous then the downside is it just is not effective then let’s go. Without the vaccine, for sure my brother would have been in serious trouble. He checks most of the at risk boxes. Even with the vaccine, a breakthrough case was extremely dangerous. After three days in the hospital he did not require a ventilator and is likely getting out today. I’m glad to see Fauci announce Regeneron is a viable treatment and I hope that Ivermectrin’s clinical trial shows promising results. I just hope that all of the recent headlines have not politicized these treatments if they are indeed effective (and now one of them has been verified as effective).
  11. Well that’s true. I think the ACC and Big 10 would still take some teams. This gentleman’s agreement between the three probably included some agreement not to expand but the moment one conference realizes this alliance is not in their self interests I think that ball will get rolling. I mean, like two days after the announcement USC announces a home and home with LSU. So much for that alliance. But to your point if the Irate 8 really have no other options this is their best and only option.
  12. Just assume we are out 80M because it sounds like both schools are prepared to pay if that’s what it takes. If Ok State or Tech really do try to cobble together a 10 team Southwest Conference like setup for a few years to collect 20M a school instead of trying to find a permanent home ASAP, they deserve to be permanently relegated to a lower division.
  13. I’m absolutely going to watch the Nebraska/Illinois game Saturday. College football doesn’t have to be a playoff caliber game for me to enjoy. I’m rooting for Nebraska because I’m friends with the offensive coordinator (Ft Collins guy) and I absolutely fucking hate the Illinois coach more than any other coach active today. Illinois fans are good people so for that I’m sorry but you guys hired a gigantic piece of shit as a head coach.
  14. I’m wondering how many of you slammed the Florida governor for his recommendation on the use of a treatment that Fauci just said is “as close to a silver bullet as we have” In the treatment of Covid. Or is Fauci now a polity a hack influenced by his wife’s financial ties to a drug company?
  15. I mean, that’s hilarious, sad and frustrating all at once. So much to unpack there. Its not proven yet. So take it over a vaccine? Not to mention these stories are going to bias people into thinking it’s like that hydrox a whatever that was definitely not a valid treatment. Then imagine if the trial concludes it does help. People are going to think of this drug as this crazy thing farmers took that you used in animals. And if the trial shows it completely ineffective or God forbid not safe to use on someone with Covid, these people have just harmed themselves instead of taking something proven to be safe. Just fuck it all.
  16. The Aggy thought process to use this drug before it’s even known to be effective is fucking bat shit crazy. I’ve just seen people write off a drug or treatment before the process has yielded its results and cast it as some sort of fringe treatment and that’s definitely not the right mindset either. There was enough reason to launch the trial in the first place - apparently out of potential mass use in India that it warranted ruling it in or out and a treatment. My opinion on the drug being used for treatment as a good or bad idea will be based on what clinical trials say. Not based on who people using or not using it that think differently than me.
  17. Well for humans it’s a pill but yes your point is valid. Why someone would take a drug still in a clinical trial versus an FDA approved vaccine that hundreds of millions are using all in the name of safety seems a bit odd. I just see people already casting this drug as an “animal paste” when there is a non zero chance it actually turns into an approved treatment at some point.
  18. Its actually currently in a large scale clinical trial being conducted by Oxford University. It’s been used in humans for a long time. Still, it’s in the trial/experiment phase and the vaccine is obviously the safest and proven course. But it’s not as crazy as it sounds.
  19. We give them shit because we are a bunch of ill adjusted, surly, malcontents who shit on anything and everything we can. While we shit on the 9.95’ers we also gladly subscribe to their content. Our endless, pedantic trash talking is actually a form of endearment.
  20. He is currently 4th/5th on the depth chart splitting scout team reps.
  21. Not just out of high school, either. Our ability to grab one year rentals out of the portal from smaller schools will be greatly enhanced as well.
  22. For anyone with concerns about the passing game (and that would include me), get out 50 bucks a month and get this fucking thing done. We are currently trying to recruit a difference maker at the position and if you have been following recruiting you will notice we need all of the help we can get.
  23. If you thought Sark was aggressive with Waddle, Jeudy and Smith just wait until you see what he does with Cade Brewer and Kai Money.
