Eric's been pretty negative, but objectively that's probably one of the most inarguable points to be made (in regards to Herman holding the team together this fall. Not sure if Satya's post actually referenced that part of the Q&A). This team is a powder keg and Herman hasn't exactly shown himself to always have his hand on the pulse of things. If there is ANY optimism, it's maybe his hiring of 2 coordinators and embracing the role of building relationships with his players happened just in time, as long as he has no missteps with these issues. But objectively, looking at it, this team is literally 4 minefields stacked on top of an acme dynamite plant, right next door to a fuel depot. Chances are pretty high that something will be miscommunicated and things will spiral out of control at some point.

You and Looch must have the same inside source..  Looch was saying the same thing 3 years ago, but never went into full detail into what his person was hearing.

Man, Nahlin has been emo as fuck this offseason.

I agree more with Burton when it comes to the OL. Herman has done a great job turning that group around since he got here.  Now it's up to Hand to coach them to their strengths.

  3. I was listening to the 247 recruiting pod.  They made it seem that the recently Bama commit JC Lathom(?) would be ranked over Tommy. However they also think the Brocks end up there as well FWIW.  They said that would be an historic OL class.

  4. i was able to copy the tweet he was responding too since Tunmise  deleted it;

I’ve been tryna schedule last years national champs for months them boys ducking action that’s not the Houston way @Dematrius09 twitter.com/haydenconner/s…

Ibraheem was definitely being penciled in as an Aggie class member earlier this year. Burt was just saying he had the same sorta feel to him as Dylan Wright or Demani Richardson. I don't think he was suggesting he was on the take at that time, but Burt is more than capable of speaking for himself. But many here including myself were writing off Ibraheem at the begging of the year. There's no argument  Valai has done a great job on the trail. I still want to see how well he coaches. If he can coach, we've got ourselves a live one.

Yeah I didn't mean to expose Burt's take for thinking like that, there were a lot of posters agreeing with him.  I just used it to show how far that recruitment went to now.  But maybe we should have seen this coming with him not attending the SB party and some other event prior.

  6. This was back in January, they weren't happy about Ish not making it in.  He was also on the list Perroni too early prediction for the aggys 21 class.

Ryan B in feb- - If you're asking me who could be the next guy to join the 2021 class, I'd still keep an eye on a trio from the Metroplex: jumbo Grandview ATH Dametrious Crownover, Denton Guyer CB Deuce Harmon, and Dallas Kimball CB Ishmael Ibraheem. From what Jason and I know, the Aggies are still in good standing with all three.

Howell- -I still like the Aggies' chances with guys like Reuben FathereeBryce FosterShemar TurnerLandon JacksonMarcus BurrisJordon Thomas, and Ishmael Ibraheem. I'm not ready to put them all on commit watch, but these are all guys I believe the Aggies will get on campus again soon, and will be squarely in the mix for when it comes to decision making time.

During this time @Burt Macklin posted about Ibraheem being this cycle's bought player out of nowhere for the aggys.

Seemed by the end of March there was no more Ibraheem talk in next up/class predictions

    1. From its inception, BLM is a political organization explicitly, by definition, because it's trying to influence policy positions of politicians.

    2. Direct donations by a govt entity are almost certainly prohibited.

    3. The demand is likely shorthand to mean "donation towards the policy objectives of BLM," which I think is an easy compromise.

You guys are doing a great job educating each other in a relatively civil manner. Kudos.

yeah can't wait to focus back on recruiting.. but the football board..YIKES.

The donations to BLM/other similar organizations is absurd, and has no chance at being done, imo

I bet the school will instead create an organization that brings Black and Hispanic Awareness throughout the State.  Make up a panel of alumni and current students who come to agreements on how to help people. They can decide where the money donated goes to.  Is that really to hard to figure out?

Also. I was quoting a post about negotiations. Its suggested as a negotiating ploy. Where you make " absurd" claims. Seems pretty simple. I dont know much about endowments to universities or the money it takes to have a name on a building there. But anybody can figure out how to negotiate. or maybe not.

Thing is..what is so absurd about the changes being asked?  Other than the Eyes which I think can be worked out through talks, everything else can be done.  Had no idea about Moore til yesterday..fuck that guy.

  10. I'm steam cleaning carpets so I decided to listen to the Yakk podcasts released this week.  Ketch did a pod over his rankings for the 22 class.  He thinks Ewers is good but not elite and he is gushing more about a QB named Orji (sp?) and a QB out of Rockwall, Hoover.

He thinks Ewers isn't as good as JJ, Card or Milroe.

I think the staff needs to re-evaluate it's QB board. If anyone knows about QB recruiting, it has to be Ketch.

I hate the dipshittification of the Gadsden Flag, it's so badass by itself.

I ordered the plates, still waiting on them to be delivered but I just started noticing the usual confederate flag guy, also totes this flag too..

for fuck’s sake...his dad played QB at LSU, his mom (deceased) graduated from LSU, and his sister is currently a volleyball player at LSU.

there was zero doubt he was going to commit to LSU.

    zero doubt.

There's huge doubt.. Kid did some research and knows that not only will Texas be blowing out LSU in BR this season.. but he knows LSU will be reverting back to the old offense.  Doesn't want to be lost in the woods and depend on an Ogre to figure out the offense again.  He just committed there now to appease his family and as a place over til a better school comes calling... $9.95.

You may be right. It doesn't matter. We're chasing Ewers, there's no reason to take a 4* now. And, frankly, if we did land Ewers he would have decommitted anyway. Wouldn't make any sense.

    QUINN EWERS

OU 247 reporter Brandon Drumm rated the Sooners chances of landing the five-star 2022 Southlake Carroll quarterback at 60 percent, with OU leading. To his credit, he does mention his percentage is subject to change “because he likes Texas too. All depends on how things shake out in the next 5-6 months, imo.”

This is partially right in our eyes. Ewers definitely likes Texas and would like to see how things shake out with the new coordinator. My feeling is Ewers knows what OU will be but he’s very intrigued by what Mike Yurcich does with Ehlinger.

We do not think OU leads, but that isn’t to say UT does. It isn’t our opinion that Texas has to have a perfect season but the overall passing game has to be varied and productive. A lot of players view their college choice through the lens of how it helps prepare them for the NFL. That’s Ewers. A big jump in the eyes of NFL scouts for Sam Ehlinger would go a long way.

As we’ve mentioned, this recruitment won’t be a roller coaster but it could become a whirlwind. Things could move quickly when visits are restored.

    Gotta love the Humidor

I know it’s hard to believe but I wouldn’t post something just to post it. Yes he is an LSU legacy but that didn’t matter. If that’s the case the Brocks would be committed already.

Don't mind me.. I'm just being snobby.  Wish the Brocks and Ewers were made of the same gung ho-ness and committed as soon as a Texas offer was made like this kid would do, allegedly.
