  1. Agree. Freshmen make mistakes. Aranda caught the OL several times with stunts/blitzes. The more you play the more aware. Takes a little experience to realize that if your guy vacates the area, someone else is going to replace him.
  2. I didn’t watch both players to compare, so I wanted to avoid any absolute statement on it.
  3. That was stupid by the announcers. First of all, nobody knows if Quinn was pissed he threw the ball high or that it went through Sanders’ hands. You only say something like that, if you are looking for it. As for putting your hands on your helmet after 2 straight false starts, big fucking deal. Brady would have put his foot in Conner’s ass
  4. Sark couldn’t help himself. He has to call at least 1 deep shot a game, despite the run game starting to dominate and the OL struggling in pass pro. on another note, I believe Texas had 140 more yards in the 4Q than Baylor. Dominated late play
  5. It is probably a coincidence, but I have to say the run game really opened up when Campbell came in (He did blow a pass pro early). Pleasantly surprised at how quiet Ika was in this game
  6. Thought that was Conner that went in. Am I wrong on that?
  7. He was untouched. Conner did not look inside and just protected his blade of grass.
  8. Ball should have been better and Sanders should have caught it. Both can be true.
  9. It was high, but certainly catchable. IF Ewers or Sanders makes a good play there, that is at least a first down. Neither did.
  10. He is tough comp. He has great vision, balance, and amazing short area quickness. One of the best receiving threats out of the backfield I have seen, he is the best receiver on the team. Lacks that elite break away speed.
  11. Yes. The complaint maybe that SARK isn’t coaching him up during the game and he is just getting instruction from Milwee. That is different than no coaching
  12. That shit is just mean. There is no need to subject people to that level of taunting.
  13. Texas is 23rd in the nation in pts/drive giving up 1.68 up slightly from 2.58 and 95th last year
  14. 1 quarter vs Bama is the only time a QB showed himself capable of carrying the team. It just is what it is at this point
  15. Texas just doesnt have an offense, when the run game is stopped. Soon as teh run game is stopped the offense grinds to a halt. Hopefully next year Texas will have a QB capable of carrying the offense.
  16. I was showing that Card's pocket presence is not greatly improved, which you clearly noticed since you took offense at comparing 2 QBs behind the same line.
  17. Card took a sack every 18 attempts this year. Ewers is taking every 58.3 attempts. That is really bad pocket presence. To be fair there is 1 game, where they both played. No need to compare different games and environments, when he have the Bama game. Card was sacked 3 times in 22 attempts vs Bama. Ewers 0 in 12 attempts.
  18. The sack comparison between Card and Ewers is not even close, so I have no idea what you are talking about there. Both QBs are sub 50% throwing the ball down field 10 yards or more. So you have 2 QBs struggling to throw the ball down field and Card takes 3+ sacks to every 1 Ewers takes
  19. Whether the defender caught the pass or not, has no bearing on whether that was a good pass or not.
  20. Not to bring the ire of @immamac back, but I found it interesting that both QBs are throwing under 50% on throws over 10 yards. That is not good from either. Card is completing almost 70% of his passes though, which means he was throwing a ton of short passes. Why Sark has decided to make Quinn the mad bomber (outside of Kansas game) and Card the dink and dunk guy is beyond me. Really odd when you consider that Quinn has played in some cold and windy games. I have noticed teams have covered the flats much better vs Texas later in the season (game film can be a bitch), but still that is asking a lot. Sacks get brought up a lot in here. Card took a sack every 18 attempts this year. Ewers is taking every 58.3 attempts. I didnt think the WV game was nearly as good as other people. I though Card got extremely lucky in that game bouncing 2 balls off defenders, one ended up being a 50 yard TD play.
  21. I remember Johntay Cook having a tweet about Pettaway. Something along the lines of we dont want him.
  22. I am with you. Texas has a huge luxury this year. They are not forced to play the DTs 50 plays. Bringing a a grown man at DT has to be a priority.
