  1. Turns 1/2 may be very interesting at the race start.
  2. Rooftop bars in Madrid are legit. We also booked an evehing watching Flamenco dancers. The food was ok but was made up for by the dancing.
  3. I agree with you about Americans and spice and about hot Pace salsa. I think I've purchased just about every store bought salsa my groceries carry. It's tough to find a good one.
  4. Pace didn't rank highest. It was the habenero hot Tostitos. Overall I agree with the ladies. Store bought salsa is mostly no bueno.
  5. 2014. It drank well. It’s not a wine known for long aging so I need to start going through the rest over the next several years.
  6. While I’m always hesitant to post after bp I had to post this one. David Fulton Petit Syrah has been a favorite of mine for a while. Sadly, the vineyard was sold a few years ago and those beautiful vines were ripped up to plant yet more Cabernet in Napa Valley. I still have a case or so left but it’s not a great aging wine so it will be gone far too soon.
  7. Be sure to have matching t shirts in an obnoxious color that says “Grandmamas Big Trip”.
  8. Do Alaska or Norway. The trash ones factor goes way way down.
  9. Could be. I'm using points and miles for over two 2 weeks in Italy in September. I'll have a couple of car rentals and trains plus meals out of pocket. I'll also be buying wine to ship back. It won't be a cheap trip but it could be a heck of a lot more expensive out of pocket for sure.
  10. Points and miles. Play the game.
  11. It’s been closed off for 10 years or more. Everything else is roped off. If you go to Belize you can still crawl all over Xunantunich.
  12. Sainz needs to listen to his race engineer. Early on he was told to push the pace more whewn he had a chance to get a good advantage over the Mercs. He basically told the engineer to fuck off that he knew what he was doing with the pace. It didn't work out so well at the end.
  13. Russell has become a total bitch.
  14. 7 teams represented in the top 8 spots on the grid. Awesome.
  15. Sicily is still part of Italy, no?
  16. Cruise in Norway for 8 days in August Italy in September. Treviso, Cortina d'Ampezzo (Dolomites), Bologna, Greve in Chianti and Serralunga d'Alba.
  17. Thank you! At least it's not jabroni.
  18. I’m fairly certain it’s not plywood. Way too heavy and would be terrible and disintegrating in rain. Unless I missed the sarcasm.
  19. You can’t convert Chase points to American Airlines points. AA points are only tied to Citibank credit cards. What the bolded means is that you can get better value for your points by transferring to airline partners. Particularly so if they go into certain foreign carrier buckets and you’re flying international business class. An example. Last year we went to Spain. We transferred Amex MR points to Iberia Avios at 1:1.4. Business Class on Iberia from Miami to Madrid was 42000 Avios each way off peak. It only took about 30000 Amex MR points to convert to 42000 Avios. For 120000 Amex MR points we flew to Madrid and back in business class pods. A fantastic redemption that you can’t come close to through the Chase or Amex travel portal. I will admit to using the Chase portal to book hotels in Europe as I have gotten some really good redemptions at very nice (as in a five star hotel in Malaga for 30k points a night) hotels.
  20. "These brakes are shit!" "What, are you trying to make me crash!" I need to just listen to his feed during a race. It is so amusing.
  21. Both drivers agreed that LeClerc did what he could in the tunnel and he still received a penalty. Fuck the stewards.
  22. Yeah, it's no Tulsa King that's for sure.
  23. James Vowles was interviewed during FP1 and shared some great information regarding cars, setup and performance. It was interesting to hear him say that downforce is easy to adjust but once you add drag it's very difficult to adjust it out.
  24. Nice flan. It’s so easy to break that custard.
