  1. They were saying that it's the most exposed area in the US when it comes to storm surge. I just found out no water made it up our block so our house and belongings are intact.
  2. I hope not. Every time I drive past I remind myself I need to go in and get a t-shirt. Yeah, we’re right around the corner from the Ritz.
  3. Update. We evacuated this morning. The good news is that if we get past the 3 am high tide the house will survive as will the wine. We are now safe in Miami. The bad news is that friends across Vanderbilt Beach Road on the fingers have all lost their houses. Total devastation from the surge.

  5. We haven't left yet but I do have a hotel booked in Miami. The stickler is that we have two 80 lb dogs and it's going to be miserable for us either way. Our street can take up to a 9-10 ft surge before it gets wet. We are forecast for 5-8' which I know is a little close for comfort. My friends across Vanderbilt Beach Rd on the fingers are fucked if it gets to 8'.We will continue to watch the forecast and will make a decision by 7 PM. A northward trend would be good for us but then I feel for those poor people up north. A lot of people are going to get fucked by this storm.Right now I am leaning heavily towards going but we do have some time to watch the forecast. The drive to Miami right now is only about 15 minutes longer than normal so that isn't a huge concern yet.
  6. We're sticking it out in Naples. Forecasts have shown us in the tropical storm range but this southerly trend does have me worried. The next county up (Lee County) has an evacuation order in for zone A and B. We are in zone A in Collier County so it's a little close for comfort right now but it would take a significant wobble to the east for us to get the big storm surge. Right now we're predicted at 3-5'.
  7. Protecting the wine from Ian the best I can.
  8. Don't worry all. The wine will be safe.
  9. I'm in Zone A in north Naples less than 1/2 mile from the Gulf. I've booked hotels in Miami just in case. We are west of 41. We will make a decision tomorrow morning based on the forecast. Storm surge is my worry with our proximity to the Gulf. I also have two large dogs and dealing with them through three days of heavy rain and winds won't be fun. Where are you in Naples? Stay safe!
  10. Darrell Green. One of the most impressive plays I’ve seen was when he ran Tony Dorsett down like Dorsett was standing still.
  11. Spanish Grand Prix main grandstand tickets (2) $1100 plane tickets - points Airbnb - $500 F1 Experience pass - free a buddy hooked me up Few hundred on meals
  12. Not nearly as much as those of us that are Ferrari fans.
  13. Just give me the fucking bone, Eli.
  14. How was the Gaja?
  15. We've now rescued four Giant Schnauzers and Eli was a rehome. People just have no clue that a big dog can have so much energy. They require a ton of exercise. ZoZo comes home from her three week board and train on Saturday. We (and Eli) are psyched to get her back. There's going to be a lot of dog play this weekend.
  16. NVM. Just looked up LeClerc’s Q2 time.
  17. It was changed after last season and the back of the grid positions are now determined by qualifying.
  18. OK. I love that Audi livery.
  19. Vietti makes some damned good wines.
  20. Tell Fredy I said hey. He’s a good dude.
  21. Burns? I'm facing my first workman’s comp claim from an employee. It was denied today because “his story doesn’t add up” and it’s his 6th workman’s comp claim in the last seven years.
  22. Smash burgers? Because smash burgers with molten cheese fucks.
  23. Yes.
  24. Just like LeClerc this year.
  25. Exactly. To be a sleeping giant implies a school once was a giant of the sport and ASU has never approached that level. Neither has Aggy.
