  1. We're sticking it out in Naples. Forecasts have shown us in the tropical storm range but this southerly trend does have me worried. The next county up (Lee County) has an evacuation order in for zone A and B. We are in zone A in Collier County so it's a little close for comfort right now but it would take a significant wobble to the east for us to get the big storm surge. Right now we're predicted at 3-5'.
  2. Protecting the wine from Ian the best I can.
  3. Don't worry all. The wine will be safe.
  4. I'm in Zone A in north Naples less than 1/2 mile from the Gulf. I've booked hotels in Miami just in case. We are west of 41. We will make a decision tomorrow morning based on the forecast. Storm surge is my worry with our proximity to the Gulf. I also have two large dogs and dealing with them through three days of heavy rain and winds won't be fun. Where are you in Naples? Stay safe!
  5. Darrell Green. One of the most impressive plays I’ve seen was when he ran Tony Dorsett down like Dorsett was standing still.
  6. Spanish Grand Prix main grandstand tickets (2) $1100 plane tickets - points Airbnb - $500 F1 Experience pass - free a buddy hooked me up Few hundred on meals
  7. Not nearly as much as those of us that are Ferrari fans.
  8. Just give me the fucking bone, Eli.
  9. How was the Gaja?
  10. We've now rescued four Giant Schnauzers and Eli was a rehome. People just have no clue that a big dog can have so much energy. They require a ton of exercise. ZoZo comes home from her three week board and train on Saturday. We (and Eli) are psyched to get her back. There's going to be a lot of dog play this weekend.
  11. NVM. Just looked up LeClerc’s Q2 time.
  12. It was changed after last season and the back of the grid positions are now determined by qualifying.
  13. OK. I love that Audi livery.
  14. Vietti makes some damned good wines.
  15. Tell Fredy I said hey. He’s a good dude.
  16. Burns? I'm facing my first workman’s comp claim from an employee. It was denied today because “his story doesn’t add up” and it’s his 6th workman’s comp claim in the last seven years.
  17. Smash burgers? Because smash burgers with molten cheese fucks.
  18. Yes.
  19. Just like LeClerc this year.
  20. Exactly. To be a sleeping giant implies a school once was a giant of the sport and ASU has never approached that level. Neither has Aggy.
  21. We’ve been this time of year. Hot as balls. We prefer late February/ early March. Perfect weather.
  22. Shamed I have been and rightfully so. Be very careful when adding the boiling mixture to the rice. Mexican Rice 1 28 ounce can whole peeled tomatoes 1 medium onion, peeled and roughly chopped 2 cups chicken stock 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt (I salt to taste) ½ teaspoon ground cumin 1/3 cup canola oil or rendered lard 2 cups long grain white rice 1-2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced 6 garlic cloves pressed ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro Juice from 2 limes plus wedges for serving Place the tomatoes and onions in a food processor and puree until smooth. Transfer 2 cups of the tomato mixture to a medium saucepan. Stir in the chicken stock, alt and cumin and bring to a boil over medium heat. Heat the oil in a heavy dutch overn over medium to medium high heat. When the oil is sizzling add the rice and saute, stirring until lightly toasted and golden, about 8-10 minutes. Add the jalapenos and cook until they have softened, about 2 minutes, lowering the heat if necessary. Add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Gently pour the boiling mixture over the rice and stir to combine. Turn heat to low and cook, covered, until the liquid has evaporated and rice is done, about 15 minutes. Add cilantro and lime juice; fluff gently with a fork. Taste and adjust seasoning if required. Serve with lime wedges.
  23. ZoZo was sent away on Saturday for three weeks of board and train. All reports are that she is doing very well. Eli is sad that she's gone so we took him to dog beach today. He ran around for an hour playing with every dog he saw and had a blast.
  24. I bowled in leagues many years ago. My averaged topped out at 208 and my best game was a 286. Had the first 10 and left the bucket on number 11. It was a lot of fun but when kids came along we gave it up.
  25. Heading to a local dive bar in a bit for a nice big chili cheese dog. It's a guilty pleasure.
