  1. Let Ewers run out there one more time please. Just a few more reps.
  2. I think that's the last time Bijan needs to touch the ball tonight. Keep him fresh and healthy for the next few weeks.
  3. I'd love to be up by more, but this game (and this season) is going to be about growth. This is the first meaningful game that Ewers has played in 2 years. I'd love to see him hit on a couple of long throws before the game is over, and I'd love to see him play well into the 4th quarter.
  4. I get the feeling that if we're still up 21-3 when we get the ball back that Sark will let Quinn air it out again.
  5. Is UH about to lose this game because they chose to go on offense first??
  6. If you're going to call that a penalty, you need to give it specific language. You can't throw a flag on a play like that just to hop on the mic and say "unnecessary roughness." It's silly.
  7. Did the SEC network forget to pay the first down line bill? Where did it go?
  8. From what I heard during the recruiting process of Evan Stewart, I gotta say it doesn't surprise me at all that he's the only Aggy with his first initial on the back of his jersey.
  9. Does this one count for two blown double digit leads? Up 14-3 in the first. Down 14-17 at the half. Up 28-17 in the third. Lost 28-31.
  10. It might be nothing, but thought this Malachi Nelson tweet belonged here.
  11. At least Sark has the guts to utilize the best RB in the country. Herman kept him on the sideline too often.
  12. https://twitter.com/Austin_Gamblers/status/1561160459730157569 Gambler Nation. Let's ride.
  13. Let the narrative changing begin! Texas Tech guy last night: https://twitter.com/garkmallemore/status/1560449416775061505?s=20&t=IBTB1CbSjnEGRf_1Bb44Sw Same guy this morning: https://twitter.com/garkmallemore/status/1560680868099883012?s=20&t=4ycH3J-WprVsNuuv2iVE8A
  14. I think the "6-6 is our ceiling" crowd is forgetting what our schedule looks like and the state of the big 12. ULM - Has won 9 games in the past three seasons Alabama - Is Alabama. UTSA - Are coming off their most successful* season, but lost loads of talent. @ Texas Tech - Breaking in a brand new coaching staff and first time college head coach. West Virginia - They picked up JT Daniels, but lost a ton of depth on defense. Oklahoma - Breaking in a new coaching staff and Quarterback. I legitimately have no idea what to expect from them this year. Iowa State - Lost Hall, Purdy, and Kolar @ Oklahoma State - They are mostly the same team. Will likely compete for the Big 12 title. @ Kansas State - They have Deuce Vaughn, but they're breaking in Adrian Martinez as their QB. TCU - New Coaching staff. Lost their most valuable offensive weapon in Zach Evans. @ Kansas - Is Kansas Baylor - Defending Big 12 champs, but lost significant talent on their defense. Texas is young. It has inexperience. But so does most of the Big 12 this season. Texas only has 4 true away games this season and two of those are at the Kansas schools. Even with all the inexperience, it's reasonable to assume that Texas will be favored against: ULM, UTSA, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Iowa State, Kansas State, TCU, and Kansas. Of that group of games, Tech and Kansas State are probably the biggest toss ups because Lubbock is a difficult place to play in, and Kansas State reasonably has the talent to beat us. We're probably going to lose a game or two we shouldn't lose (see Tech, KSU, TCU, or Iowa State). But we're also probably going to win a game or two we shouldn't win as well (Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, or Baylor.) There is a path for 8 wins on this schedule. Even with the youth of this team. Even with the reports of one rough scrimmage and one "grandma's cookies without the secret ingredients" public practice. This team could absolutely falter to 6-6. They might even miss a bowl game. That's all very true and on the table as of right now. But to act like 6-6 is the ceiling is being ignorant of the schedule and the state of the conference.
  15. So… do we have anymore practice updates?
  16. Another important distinction is that Thompson continued to outplay Card with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. It took a few weeks before Card was able to demonstrate that he was the better option than a Quarterback who medically struggled to throw the ball to his receivers.
  17. Be careful. You're talking about a well-known member.
  18. Are you sure? Because we made this in December. https://www.change.org/p/quinn-ewers-and-family-get-quinn-ewers-home-to-the-university-of-texas
  19. Tommy Tubberville went from Ole Miss to Auburn and nearly played for a National title. It all went downhill after that season, but the move from Ole Miss to Auburn seemed like the one head coach upgrade he made.
  20. Cameron only won best director at the Golden Globes. But at the Oscars he lost best director to his ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow and he lost best picture to Bigelow's Hurt Locker.
  21. Happy Spider-Man Eve to those who celebrate.
