  1. His team this year was terrible at the beginning of the season and, as Tech seems to do under Beard, they found an identity and became a tough team to beat. I think he’s actually been a victim of his own success and has lost his top player to the draft after each season, most of those guys being under the radar recruits he developed pretty rapidly and made them legitimate NBA prospects. He moved up the board this year and actually pulled in a 5 star, I forget his name, and the kid never bought in to the philosophy and left the program. I think he’s getting to the point where he can recruit a higher-caliber of player at Tech, the biggest obstacle will be getting those kids to want to play a gritty style of basketball.
  2. If I had know you guys were all going to lose so quickly I wouldn’t have relied on Rick Barnes.
  3. It has to do with TV deals. CBS has a commitment to airing the news on Sunday nights, so they get their game allotments early without competition so they don’t lose viewership by not having the “prime time” games. Things revert back to normal tomorrow.
  4. This is incredibly in line with the rest of 2020-21
  5. They played an Oregon State team who the tourney selection committee forgot had a basketball program. I’m not convinced all of those guys played at OSU prior to today.
  6. Kids realizing that was my favorite part of 5th grade.
  7. Pick Tennessee, I said. Oregon State won’t be able to get open 3’s, I said.
  8. All things considered, this region is the best possible scenario. I’m taking BYU over TTU/USC/SDSU. It’s a team we should be able to physically dominate; and if we don’t, we weren’t winning anything this year anyways. Bama will be tough but they play a style we’re used to seeing and hopefully Greg Brown and Kai are tough matchups now that they’re being seen by these teams for the first time.
  9. Whoops. Same.
  10. He lost his Livers for the rest of the season, that will take some time adjusting to.
  11. I request my experience reading this page be redacted from my life’s record books.
  12. Dodged a bullet here.
  13. Main character is Jonah Hill’s younger sister, she also starred in Lady Bird. No, not the LBJ documentary. Emerald Fennel. Quite the talent, but she’s on the all-name team. Nobody in Hollywood actually makes it official, I guess it fast-tracks the inevitable divorce.
  14. Not sorry if this is dumb, but is he insinuating that the hire on the support would keep us from recruiting 2022 kids or help with the Duncanville 2022 kids?
  15. Hilarious. I was in the room when this video was shot.
