  1. What’s interesting from a societal standpoint is this guy and situation is more popular and has more viewing interest and intrigue than the bomb Joker 2. I guess we like our Arthur Blank crack-ups with less song and dance.
  2. Speaking of intro, this is great:
  3. What that company and those camera men did aged like warm milk. It's the seedy, soapy, who-gives-a-crap flavor of the aged old argument: do you hold people to the standards of their time or do you judge them objectively with what we know to be right and true now?
  4. The Great Gatsby. Not sure how I never saw this as it came out during the time I was watching all the big commercial success movies (2010-2015), but caught it the other day. Interesting interpretation to modernize a 1920's staple. I hadn't read the book in over 30 years so honestly couldn't tell how faithful the adaption was plot-wise, but I remember not loving the book and thus, didn't love the movie. But it was good.
  5. I think it's mostly just New Yorkers being New Yorkers. Life goes on.
  6. I had a single key that I put in my wallet and so you could see the key outline after a while. I was 10 when I started riding the bus home alone and staying home alone (basically when parents wanted to stop paying for after school care, both worked outside of the home) and I had to call to check in when I got home and I was supposed to stay in doors and not answer the phone until they got home. By 12 I was allowed to go out when home alone and generally ride my bike wherever i wanted, which was functionally around 2 miles because round trip 4 miles in the city fighting busy roads and crossing overpasses sucked. Then I got my bike stolen at a putt and place type arcade, so I hoofed it around then. At 12 we neighborhood kids started smoking Marlboro lights. So between rollerblading and camping out at the Diamond Shamrock looking for young adults who looked cool enough to buy us our $3.00 Marlboro lights in a box, we walked around so we could smoke cigs and then later pot. Then we got cars and fake IDs and getting drunk became our god. The life of a latchkey kid.
  7. Rico and it isn't even close Chief is sneaky good.
  8. Dude I was being obviously hyperbolic. The point was that his "overthrows" last year and if it was a bad pass to Worthy against Bama, then those are downright "dots" compared to his obvious poor accuracy and bad long balls this year.
  9. Here is the thing. If Quinn's pass to Worthy against Bama last year sucked, I want that sucky Quinn back. Because his long balls against Arky were 7 yards overthrown and just plain horrible.
  10. I mean, I want to see the video of an Armenian dressed up in this suit thrashing about a Mercedes and Rolls Royce and see what the investigators thought when they deduced in 5 seconds "this is obviously a human in a bear suit". I think this would be hilarious.
  11. The Salesforce building in Chicago is really nice, do you often go in there? I haven't but I remember partnering with the insane young bucks back at the old salesforce office and you could view down from the top floor into the dive bar The Boss (I think it was called) and I do not know how those tech bros didn't get fired. Wanton and public drug use, blacking out, etc.
  12. Honestly no idea. We always go to Copper mountain during spring break. I literally just google searched and most placed weren’t open until December and red river was the only mountain I saw opening last week of November….
  13. Interesting. But ultimately does it mean anything if you don’t have citizenship? Or is there a path for citizenship once you own real estate? If things completely fall apart and you decide you want to live in England, could you full time without citizenship?
  14. Thanks I’ve never skied opening day so early in the season. This will be a new experience, for sure.
  15. Just watched the OG movie Wallstreet (1987) directed by Oliver Stone. I always knew the “Greed is good” line but that was about it. I think the highlight for me was John C McGinley. That’s about the best thing I can say for a film that aged like warm milk.
  16. Are you in Chicago?
  17. Nah I disagree. This fundamentally feels different. I've been following because I retail invest in CRM and been in the sfdc ecosytem in a previous life and I haven't seen Benioff this excited and invested and passionate in....ever. This feels more akin to Zuck when he went all in on Meta (and I'd even heard rumors from employees that he was contemplating changing the name of the company to agentforce).
  18. I got a lot of mileage out of randomly saying "O block" to native Chicagoans who live in River North and River West. Vocalizing that is about as close as I would ever get to going south of LaSalle.
  19. I take 5mg's of Buspirone daily-- should I maybe NOT do that? It was prescribed for anxiety (like I assume mchorn and the others are talking about why they took xanax). Proporanolol I rarely take-- like once every two or three weeks maybe-- I'm actually not even sure it works or it works taken it so infrequently, but any ill-effects of a beta blocker? (I will now google what a beta blocker is).
  20. Question for you, because I take a low dose of anti-anxiety medicine (Busiprone) daily and a half a Propenol (what I understand is a much stronger anxiety med) for the situations you called out (big presos, job interviews, etc.). Are those meds benzos and should I worry? I'm worried now.
  21. We've done Angel Fire a lot (young kids and grandkids - toddler/tots age) and Santa Fe too. Usually that was NYE and not Christmas. That said, we are doing Thanksgiving week this year (opening week) somewhere in New Mexico, maybe Red River. Will let you know how the snow is in late November in N.New Mexico.
  22. Salesforce stock is at an all-time high (up $50 a share this year alone, if memory serves). Is that a coincidence?
