Probably won’t excite anyone, but I think his game is much closer to Stetson Bennett than Kyler or Bryce.
I’ll be very interested in seeing how his season goes without Ryan Williams. -
Quality DL? He helped beat out UGA for Sydir Mitchell, UF for D’antre Robinson, and LSU for Alex January during his tenure. Probably some other wins I’m forgetting.
None of those guys were highly rated, and neither is Brown. All were/are highly regarded despite their ranking.- 1

Sark is probably closer to 6’ than 6’2”
Milwee is around 5’9”-5’10”
KJ Lacey was measured at 5’10.5” last week. Probably barefoot

Just like the last one from Dickinson in the 22 class some fretted over? Maybe this staff develops better but the good ones since Sherman haven’t seen much development on that campus. He is neither the ideal size or strength for a guy that will succeed on measurables alone.
PJ Williams got in trouble his first semester IIRC. Thomas is pretty good, but is coming off an injury. He'd be in our class if we weren't in on multiple guys higher on our board.

They really just aren't in a position to turn any decent guys away. Apparently OL is a massive ($$$) need, and I wouldn't be shocked if they still land one of Fasusi, Haywood, or Rogers.
-
They were probably more interested in Currie than Sellers, hard to say how much they liked Currie since he never really reciprocated interest.

I just watched four minutes of Terry’s Hudl and get what the big deal is.. he was finally tackled at that four minute mark because he went up and Moss’d a kid, otherwise all touchdowns. He’s mostly a WR (we’re already in on plenty of those) and some RB, and I actually like him as a ball carrier just as much or more than Simon (but I’m sure sure I’m alone on that one). He could probably be an H-back type. Didn’t see enough defense to have an opinion.
I love his frame/skill set as an H-back/TE type a la Amari Niblack or Evan Engram.
I also think that's an easier sell for him than playing defense.

he's stopped by there every season he's been here.. look, his momma was upset how UT didn't make them feel the way tosu did. Whether it's a good thing or not.. staff moved off him
I have no issue with not landing Sanchez. Glad the staff moved on, and I won't be shocked if we see his name in the transfer portal in a couple of years.

Didn't Sark and Co. drop by NS to talk to Sanchez and the coaches after the season?

I didn’t move the goalposts. None of the examples you gave are meaningful data points on his evals. Hutson was terrible as a true freshman, which isn’t his fault. He played because our OL room was shit, but it doesn’t answer much about evals/development. Hutson’s now going into this third year and not slated to start at this point (though he could by Fall if he’s healthy) so he’s still a question mark. Robertson playing part of one game and being serviceable but not good and Agbo averaging one snap per game as a big TE are also not meaningful data points.
Must be hard to go through life trying so hard to avoid admitting error. Do you, bud.
I disagree with the point you were trying to make.

I never said he’s bad at eval/developing, just that it’s an open question. Your examples of guys being thrown in early due to roster issues or being in a large TE package don’t mean much. His evals/development are still an open question. We’ll get plenty of answers this year and next.
You don't have to move goalposts when you make a mistake. Just admit the error, then modify the point you were trying to make.
You literally said "His evals are a bit more of an open question as the only guys he’s recruited that have actually played are 5 stars. We haven’t seen him eval/develop his lower takes yet."
Come on, man. It's not a big deal.

If I had to guess, he’s the 5th or 6th guy in a 6 OL class and the staff believes he’ll be patient and provide depth until he’s ready to play as a 4th or 5th year guy. If we get guys like Fasusi and Lamont Rogers, then this is a good take. If he becomes the 3rd or 4th OL in the class, it would be more of a problem.
The other part is Flood is a size queen and seems ok with overlooking certain issues if he thinks the guy can play at 325+. I don’t like all of Flood’s evals, and I think he overrates size. However, he’s also clearly good at coaching the OL.
His evals are a bit more of an open question as the only guys he’s recruited that have actually played are 5 stars. We haven’t seen him eval/develop his lower takes yet. Cam Williams will be the first one this fall, and he looked good in the Spring game. But if we can keep landing guys like Banks, Baker, and Fasusi, who have size and all the other traits you’d want, it won’t matter too much.
Cole Hutson started nearly his entire true freshman season as a 3 star guy. Agbo has shown signs of productivity as well. Robertson basically played the entire OU game.
A lot of the other guys are showing flashes in practice as well.

Jackson Christian's film is pretty good and he had a damn near dominating performance at a camp last summer at Texas. They offered him early and stuck with their eval, I have no problem with that.
He looks more athletic and more lengthy than Cole Hutson, even though they are similar in their disposition and playstyle.

Will face a familiar name week 1.
If by "face" him, you mean he'll be on the opposing sidelines, then yes. He won't see the field against us unless it's on special teams.

Big time get, kid is a playmaker with speed for days. Whoever found this guy should get a raise if he pans out in the fall.

Like I said before. That site isn’t for talking about anything it’s for reading the OP and asking clarifying questions not interacting with the other members.
It's crazy how people don't seem to understand that none of it exists without requisite support.
That forum can be as cringey as it wants, just ignore everyone other than the admin/mods and you're set. Find the ignorant posts funny and let the mods deal with the lame discussion.
Discuss things the way you are used to on Surly or go fuck yourself. Either one works.

Better athletes in the SEC, but better coaches/smarter players in the big 12.
it’ll be interesting to see how much of that 3 high look we get next year. Quinn/Sark will really take off next year if they don’t have that limitation
-
If you feel the need to tie your support of their coverage to your ability to talk all the shit you want to on the site, that's on you.
Surly is surly. OTF is OTF. The communities can be symbiotic with some discipline.

Shouting down inanities, posting vulgar memes like “oh fuck, you’re gonna make me hookem”, calling out unnecessary handwringing, and the like is not conducive to building a large community where everyone feels welcome to visit and engage.
Being aggressive toward other posters, even when warranted, is generally anti-community behavior too.
Having surly gives people the ability to talk that stuff down, but maybe there’s a way to encourage that kind of poster to be more active on those topics here instead.

Seeing someone misspell Gerry’s name while replying to his correctly spelled name will always be hilarious to me.

People generally set commitment dates when they know where they’re going. He’s going to play for Bo Davis unless something drastic changes.
They play different positions, but we really don’t wanna lose Brown to Bo too.
