  1. I have seen TOOTBLAN in posts over many months and have been to lazy to look it up. And I do have to say that Altuve certainly could obtain that moniker. I’ve always been flummoxed by his baserunning accumen. Although I do agree that getting thrown out may not add value to it. Historically, Altuve is TOOTBLAN, and TOOTBLAN is Altuve.
  2. Fuck can we give that Abreu home run back? That solo shot is going to get King Suck at least 16-23 more PA’s without consequences. Meaning that one home run will have a negative impact in proportion to what it provided in today’s game.
  3. Goddamn. Tucker is going for “Generational Wealth” at this point.
  4. I gotta give it to Abreu. He’s really good at going opp field. He’s a master of it. He reminds me of Tony Gwynn. He can put it anywhere he wants to. He just chooses to go opposite field. To show the other players he’s better than them.
  5. Does anybody else see characteristics of Bregman’s swing that looks like Abreus? I know Jose is 29 years older than Breggy. But it sure looks like when degenerative disk disease begins taking Alex’s back like it has with Abreu, then all of Breggy’s pop ups are going to be to the first baseman.
  6. Jake Meyers is my hero. The Great American Hero. Hair and all. And helmet 2 sizes too big.
  7. He got a hit. Of course it was opposite field. Not by design. He was late on the pitch. I can't remember which of ya’ll said it, but I don't think he’s hit a ball to left field since his final year with Sox.
  8. I see what you did there. This isn't softball, so you know.
  9. That just got Abreu 3 more starts.
  10. If you shoved a lump of coal up Abreu’s ass while he’s batting, you’d have a diamond by the 8th inning.
  11. At least Singleton put some pitches toward his count
  12. Yainer has caught him two of all his starts. Opening day and a couple of weeks ago. Who took Maldy’s job?
  13. Yep. The team is back to where it was before Abreu exit.
  14. Bregman popped up to the infield. It is begun.
  15. I'm going to flip out if that cocksucker doesn't get at least 1 hit. And if he has his shirt open and unbuttoned Im going to kill every….. I’ll leave it at that. He better get a hit. Singleton is going to struggle at DH. There is no doubt. He’s used to being on the field now.
  16. I know it doesn't matter but I was just thinking. Tucker obviously should be starting in right field for the All Star game this year. But we all know who’s going to be starting in right field. Which is bull fucking shit. His team mate will be in center. I just think Tuck should be recognized more
  17. Jesus. Corey Julks went 2-3 with a dinger. Against the Yankees. Then he reached his glove well over the wall and saved a home run. Good for him. No ill will. Oh shit. He’s playing with Martin Rasputin Maldonado. Surely he had a part in the output. Go get you some Corey.
  18. I can go with you on that. But wherever the fuck he was sent and how he hit, aside from if he snuck off to the DR, I know he wasn't looking at pitches even close to what he’ll see in his first at bat back in the Show. Did he get his timing back on 84 mph four-seamers? Did he lock himself in the high speed batting cage for two weeks? Did he dump Jesus for Allah? Lets just say that I’m a little less than cautiously optimistic. I've never been an MLB team owner or a Hall of Fame first baseman with the second best batting stance/swing ever. (Griffey, Jr obviously first), but I was an extra on that Jimmy Fallon Drew Barrymore baseball love story. I was top deck row 82 at Fenway. So I kind of know a little about the game. Well actually I left after 4 1/2 hours with zero takes. So I never got my SAG card. All it would have taken me to pass on tendering an offer to Abreu would be watching him swing once in a live at bat facing a 92-95mph fastball. One swing. Pass. Move on. I don't care if he even barreled it. Pass. Describing his swing with one word? Arthritic. So I hope you are right. I will gladly accept a thorough thrashing if he ends with 28 homers and a 890 OPS. I have been wrong before. But I'm usually always right. What is Oxymoron? Thanks Ken. Good evening.
  19. San Francisco is waiting for him. They’ll do 10.
  20. Bringing Abreu back is wrong. He is a cancer. And what happens when you don't address it aggressively and early? It spreads. Breggy I'm looking at ya.
