  1. This is, perhaps, the dumbfuckest take I have ever seen on this board. Fuck you.
  2. JFC, not running the goddamned option isn’t “extremely conservative.” The offense needs to take advantage of his mobility. It’s a weapon. You don’t need to run the option, ever, to do that.
  3. Manning is a bigger and stronger guy, that’s for sure. We’ll see how often Sarkisian runs him on the options and how that works out.
  4. I think he’s referring to Ojo’s fuckery during the process, rather than the actual question you asked, as is his wont.
  5. VY and Manning are substantially different guys. Hell, probably any other human being breaks his ankle against KSU. VY walked it off. Yes, which is why you don’t give them any extra opportunities.
  6. I’m not talking about blitzes.
  7. Hell, there’s no stronger verification that I’m right than to be opposed by you.
  8. Yeah, I saw it the first time. Just don’t complain when someone is willing to trade that for taking him out of the game if not the season.
  9. The flaw here is any sane DC is going to take the chance to clock him whether he has the ball or not. His keeping the ball doesn’t change that. He’s getting hit no matter what.
  10. I’m not claiming he’s running the wishbone. If Texas wants to have Manning run any kind of run option against my defense, he’s going to get driven into the turf every time, whether he has the ball or not, and I don’t care what the guy with the ball does those one of two times. Giving the defense the opportunity to tune him up as a straight runner is Davis/McCoy/Alabama regarded and if Sarkisian does it, someone needs to check him for stroke symptoms.
  11. The option? You mean the option for someone to knock the shit out of him whether he keeps the ball or not? Count me out. If he wants to run and slide or get out of bounds, peachy. He doesn’t need any more reasons to get lit up like he’s Marty fucking Akins or something. You know, imo.
  12. It’s my opinion that this is the general attitude held by people who often don’t have the drive to be in a position to make that decision in the first place. A subset of this is, “OMG, he’s so old, why doesn’t he just pack it in? If I had his money I’d be sitting on a beach.” Well, it’s probably the freakish competitiveness that got him into the position in the first place that makes it so hard to walk away. But if someone doesn’t have that, he probably don’t understand that.
  13. I don’t know how often Baby Jesus weighs in on prison rape scenarios, particularly affirmative scenarios, but, please Baby Jesus, let this be correct. I want to stand nearly in low earth orbit near the top of that fucking horseshoe and watch those cocksuckers trudge their way out with many minutes left on the clock. I hope they are naughty in Your sight and shall snuff it.
  14. Short of gangland-style slayings, it sure the hell couldn’t have gotten worse. Cops telling us to take off the orange. Women shouldered into traffic. Full beers and waters coming from buildings. Silly bitch pushed me in the chest while four guys with her waited for a reaction. “What are you going to do, motherfucker?” “I’m going back to Texas. You can stay in the dumpster fire.” Good times. And me, like a dumbass, going back. At least it’s a day game.
  15. Almost everyone else was whale shit at the bottom of the ocean, though. I’d have given a lot to have been able to have a few Johnnie Walkers with him after Texas beat USC.
  16. Again, I’ll take it. I’d rather them flee the curbstomping and clear the area rather than mill around and throw shit again.
  17. I’ll take it, but I do not want to spend the afternoon in that place sweating out another one. Kick them in the balls and make them quit, imo.
  18. No, of course the obsession with college football of guys in their 30s, 40s, 50s, etc. is well-bounded and reasonable. Not at all like the obsession of those dumbfucks over there. No objective observer would think it odd to spend so much time and money on the college decisions of teenage boys. Or to funnel hundreds of thousands of dollars to them so they wear your preferred logo. Or to make 20k posts on a forum devoted largely to the sport. The famously calm and rational fan bases of college football teams are never the butt of jokes or ridicule. But you, you don’t do any of that stuff so why not compare yourself to the most rabid of the other obsessed people? It will probably sting, but a lot of people not into college football think you/me/we/us are just as batshit, if not more so, as you think Disney people are.
  19. I specifically didn’t deny that. And…
  20. I’m not saying any of this is false. I’m just saying that post-graduation, hyper-zealous college fans may not be the ideal stone throwers in this particular glass house. Maybe it’s just me who still gets chills when the Longhorns run out to Texas Fight. Who doesn’t want anything to do with sports after a Texas loss. Who has a visceral dislike for the crimson fucks in the Cotton Bowl and euphoria after Texas wins. Basically who lets the successes and fuckups of 18-22 year old guys have a disproportionate effect on his mood from September to January. Or longer, if a scoop and score is involved. But I think it’s probably not just me.
  21. I wonder if there’s a QB he has in mind.
  22. I didn’t think it was that great, but I’m conflicted. The ending was elite. It’s a “The Sting” level ending. Maybe that is enough to make it great.
