  1. Yeah I get the premise of the article. But I loathe "stats" only articles. A-Rod in that Game 1 situation probably grounds out. Meanwhile Corey has two WS MVP trophies. Gimme the winner every day. And that he helped the Rangers of all teams win, by gum. That's all-time worthy. Speaking of "all-time" where is ol' Sborz? Out first two months last I read on it. Maybe we get Gray back in June also?
  2. I'll take Corey all day over A-Rod, even with his once-a-year, or more, injuries. Seager delivered in the most important season in Rangers history, even missing 40 games. Delivered the most important hit in Rangers history. Maybe they still win in 2023 if they lose Game 1. But given how the Rangers postseasons had gone, when he hit that and yelled at the dugout, I knew we were winning that game and the whole damn thing. Ask me what A-Rod did? I'll grant that he roided up real nice and hit well.
  3. At :27 Tubbs turns to look at Crockett, but looks right at the camera. "Oh, shit, sorry, yeah, over there. Right."
  4. LOL at fucking ARod over Seager, who I would still put in over Andrus, as much of a all-time Ranger that he was. The guy is putting in Sborz for "one pitch" but not Seager for the season and postseason that secured the first title? GTFO
  5. ^ Whatever jobs it gets, those industries are turbo-fucked Chicago Sun-Times confirms AI was used to create reading list of books that don’t exist https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/may/20/chicago-sun-times-ai-summer-reading-list https://terribleminds.com/ramble/2025/05/21/repeat-after-me-ai-doesnt-know-anything/
  6. Also, trivial things that make you surly... they need to release this on a Thursday so I can go to some of these I haven't been or forgotten about. They're all closed today and my stomach is angry.
  7. I'm not logged in and this pulls up fine. What you're looking for? https://www.texasmonthly.com/bbq/best-texas-bbq-honorable-mentions/

  9. Feels like the purgatory of last year. They're "in the race" because the division sucks, but they're failing the eyeball test again. So they probably won't sell or buy, and will just keep trying to fix it with the spare parts we have, while ending the same. Hope I'm wrong. It's even more tantalizing this year because the starters have been historically phenomenal. So we're just hoping for the marginally better offense from last year. They were still under .500 at this same time. They've been .500 or just below for nearly two years. Having watched 40+ games I don't think they suddenly catch fire, and Seager can't carry this team, especially on peanut brittle legs. It's a big enough sample size that many of these guys aren't good hitters anymore. Or the clubhouse needs an enema. Or both.
  10. Throw wasn't in time but Marcus pulling a White Sox first baseman there.
  11. Good inning Milner. Hey, maybe let's score a couple!
  12. You've had much better Adolis. That throw made up for it. Nice.
  13. It wasn't a double play. He delivered basically. RISP no outs and zilch. This team.
  14. All that above to say Marcus is due. Like WAY overdue.
  15. I'm mesmerized quantifying how bad Semien is after his instant 1 pitch out earlier. Found out what "RE24" was - "Given the bases occupied/out situation, how many runs did the batter or baserunner add in the resulting play." 0 is average. Marcus is at -13.29 for the season. Aaron Judge is at 34.25 Corey is the highest Ranger at 5.33. Jung is 4.9 If you're wondering where Marcus ranks, it's #518 out of #527 players with any plate appearances. But it's not all bad. Joc is #526
  16. Small favor from bad baserunning. We'll take it.
  17. Seriously is Semien still at 4 XBH? That seems impossible even if you're intentionally trying to avoid them. Maybe intentionally walk Varsho next time up.
  18. Hardest hit infield single of the year probably. And immediately Semien flys out uselessly before I can even type it.
  19. I see I missed deGrom's customary lefty homer. Gausman on pace for a 54 pitch perfect game after two? Awesome. He's given up 6 earned runs twice this year, so maybe the 2nd time through.
