  1. Agreed, but I'd give RT more credit if he hadn't been throwing Horton so many minutes from the get-go. It was pretty obvious from the season's start that he wasn't consistently productive enough on offense to offset the defensive liability. Anyway, gruntled that the team clawed back to 9-9 and swept the Sooners. It was a good day.
  2. Congrats to the team for putting the Baylor game behind it and sweeping the Sooners. Gotta be honest, after the 1-3 start to conference play, I felt 8-10 was this team's ceiling. But adjustments were made, intensity was raised, and fuck OU. As for a 6 seed, I feel like we'd have to reach the league tournament final to have a chance at that. Here's hoping I'm being pessimistic!
  3. This string of goals from Sargent aren't the most technically brilliant goals I've ever seen, but he's taking them quickly and with confidence and that's what is important. Fernando Torres out front should've told you.
  4. I read all of that and all I could focus on was your repeated misspelling of Sheriff.
  5. Why on earth would you want to ruin a perfectly wonderful chili cheese dog with ordinary yellow mustard? At least have the decency to adorn that work of art with some spicy brown.
  6. This was a difficult watch. Amazing--yet sadly believable--that supposedly grown adults would behave this way. The officers in all six of these instances should be commended. More law enforcement like them would lead to a lot less activity in the Bernard thread. Truly saintly levels of patience.
  7. Jamie Dixon doesn't know what the fuck you're talking about.
  8. I saw the topic he created earlier this morning, but I just didn't expect to open up the Elmo thread and stumble upon a post that starts with: "Israel believes the Jewish Messiah has arrived ... " It truly caught me off guard and I've been chuckling over it, off and on, for the past 15 minutes.
  9. Had to posrep that @JosephStang post as it caught me off guard and I nearly spit iced tea all over the place. Looks like crowdsourcing is imminent despite my reaction. This site truly attracts some odd ones.
  10. I might be down for a pocket knife if it comes with @Fletch's blood on it.
  11. One of my favorite recent road games was the trip to Lubbuttock in Beard's first (*ahem, only*) season. Yes, my 'Horns got curb stomped, but that arena was PACKED and the crowd was LOUD. And, aside from some bruised egos, nobody was harmed and everybody seemed to behave themselves. It was college hoops at its best, imo. Boynton does seem to win the "nice, respected guy" award every season but he hasn't produced and he's been given plenty of time to do so. I know the league is brutal but what OSU and GIA have become is nothing short of sad.
  12. Hate to tell you, but Vince never had that many yards as a receiver.
  13. Fans at Allen Fieldhouse boo virtually any call against the Jayhawks. They are loud and they are vocal but they are also incredibly whiny and they absolutely influence officiating. But it's what makes AFH a great, intimidating atmosphere. A win there always feels like a massive achievement, regardless of how good KU may or may not be that year. Again, this is the chief stupidity I'm addressing: As for this: You probably have this impression because, I'll wager, you spend more time on this site than you do on your "own" team's sites.
  14. This is a poor take. It's like you've never watched a game at Allen Fieldhouse, or Cameron. Fans everywhere are about the same and bitch about refs about the same. I'll give you credit for the conspiracy nonsense angle, but otherwise, that post was bad and you should feel bad.
  15. Man, if the Texans are running down your culture/approach, you know you've got work to do ...
  16. More Wemby analysis: If I were the Spurs, I'd take a hard look at the two-man guard/center game that Denver developed with Jokic and Murray. Though Jokic is unmatched as a passer, Wemby is excellent in his own right, and he's already proven himself capable from BTA or driving to the hoop. Of course, guards who can create, drive, shoot and pass like Murray don't grow on trees, but if the Spurs can pair Wemby with the right guy and they put in the work, San Antonio will be a force for many years.
  17. Just don't ever let judges or jurors find out that you frequently associate with @Patricio Swayze, or it will be guilt by association!
