The SEC decision to only play conference games in 2020 spared ACU and North Texas from the aggy steamroller, and kept them from running that total to 19 (presumably)
As usual, the rest of the SEC conspires to thwart aggy dominance.

Yep. For the record, here is the list of in-state schools aggy played during that time period. Juggernauts, all of them:
SMU
Sam Houston State
Rice
UTEP
Lamar
Prairie View A&M
UTSA
Texas State
Abilene Christian

You'll take your November game against Lamar and like it.
Nah. I don't mind scheduling someone like Louisiana-Monroe or some other lower-tier FBS program in that slot, but scheduling Lamar would be shameful, just like aggy scheduling Abilene Christian is shameful.

Nope. Never gonna happen.
Good. I would not be happy if we stooped to such aggy scheduling lowness.

To me that all adds up to a road W provided we don't run into some bullshit 40 MPH wind with a -5 windchill.
The Saturday high in Ames is predicted to be 58, so temps should be in the 40's at kickoff.
NWS forecast for Ames tomorrow night -- good football weather.
Saturday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 33. West southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. -

Always makes me laugh that people act like the guys (or girls) they went to middle and high school with and formed long-lasting friendships with should be dropped just bc they went to aggy.

Also happened when my best friend (aggy) married his gf (also an aggy). The bride's brother and I rolled our eyes and went outside.
You need to get better friends.

Yeah, but how much of the "cult"ure is built upon their insane drive to set themselves apart from and above their big bro: "varsity"?
I'm from a family of ags. The answer is "all of it."
If it's still possible to order the "Don't Care, Got Jimbo" t-shirts, you'll be able to knock out all your Xmas shopping at once.

A lot will depend on Ewers taking care of the ball (he had at least 3 turnover-worthy throws against TCU but only one got picked) & Baxter doing the same when he runs. Don't want to give ISU short fields in front of a liquored up home crowd.

An aggy told me "a hall of champions doesn't necessarily mean championship trophies. It's about the spirit and tradition of champions."
They look at shit that is unrelated to champions.
As if they would know about the "spirit and tradition of champions."

We cheated but it didn’t help much so…all cool?
I'm sure the increase in the margin of victory had nothing to do with the fact that Michigan played two shitty programs (Mich St. and Purdue) in the period after Stalions was suspended.

Timely post is timely. Was just looking into flying SW to Kona next May.

Big 12 gets a lot of respect. OSU at #15 with a home loss to South Alabama is hilarious.
That was a really bad loss, but OSU is a much, much different team now. I think if they played that game again, Okie Lite would win handily.

I'll be there in December. Do you think Piero's will be reopened by then after repairing the damage you two hooligans are bound to cause this week? Or should I make back-up plans?
-
Need recs for a good restaurant off the Strip -- something unique and/or where the locals hang. Can be any kind of cuisine. Already have Piero's lined up one night, but need something for a second night. Have done Lotus of Siam (which is outstanding) the last two times we were in Vegas, so looking for something different this time.

I think Counsell is a good manager, but that's a ridiculous number for him. And it's a slap in the face to Ross.

This fucking defense folds at the most inopportune time

That unnecessary roughness no call on the first Minnesota turnover turned out to be huge. Turned into 3 points for Denver, which was the difference in the game.
