  1. Reminds me of ESPN Getup where the only two valid opinions are the world is ending or the world is an eden. We beat a poorly coached team with a very good QB and the coaches have shown they are not going back to last year. I will rejoice in this all year but there is no way Sark has shown us enough of a turn around from his incompetence at Teas Tech to being the answer after two games. We are all rooting for him to somehow become a coach that can make adjustments when challenged. So far he has failed that test every time.
  2. Man that would have been a buzz kill. Best thing from this is it may get Jimbo extended again.
  3. Finally some signal just want to say it was a fun beat down.
  4. Man you had to bring that up. We have yet to stop many of those. I am glad WVU was throwing behind the receivers or they were dropping those wide open slants. We have been getting killed by those since Bama and PK has not figured it out. It is almost like our corners instead of trying to guide the receiver to the outside so the sideline is used as a extra defender, instead guide them to the inside to give them a shot at the entire field.
  5. I hope this is Saban before the game but instead he is asking for points from the team.
  6. Some coaches seem to think there is no difference between being methodical and business like against regular opponents versus being methodical and business like and bringing extra passion when confronting a rival. It is the extra passion that will help sustain the additional intensity needed throughout a game when facing a rival. Just ask Alabama about Auburn teams that had no business winning against them over the last few years. Rivalries are never just another day at the office for fans and if they are for the team itself then they are probably going to get steamed rolled or at the least they will be late to match the rivals intensity and have to come back and then hold on for dear life.
  7. The OU posters repeat a lot of the themes we see on this board. 1. A bunch of posters that say after a bad loss we will never win again this year 2. The eternal hopeful poster 3. The poster that calls all others pussies despite the product on the field 4. I don't think I saw the poster that said we are going to mudhole their ass even after a 30+ point loss. I am sure he is on there somewhere.
  8. This is exactly it. David Ash would have benefited from a couple of parents that would have put a stop to Mack Brown from rushing him back after a concussion and basically ending his career.
  9. Lets make it happen. Could not get to good place for lunch but this will have to do for now.
  10. I remember having great time in 2013. My brother-in-law was at his first Texas-OU game and right before kick-off it was loud. I asked him can you feel that energy? Yes, and this side expects to lose. I guess what I am saying the place will be rocking by game time and the fans that expect to lose will pour their souls into the game because that is what makes this game great. They will lose though.
  11. Its our great ability to fuck up in recent years that folks worry about and in my view not that OU is superior. Most recent evidence Texas Tech.
  12. Have you been saying that for about 8 years now? In that time span we have had 4 losing seasons and two seasons with only 7 wins. The line is tiresome and has zero to back it up. Those that worry do it for a reason. We looked like shit in the second half vs WVU they just looked worse. I feel good about beating OU but those that worry have recent history on their side.
  13. It was weird walking out of the Cotton Bowl with both fan bases kind of somber and dejected that no winner was decided after all that emotional investment.
  14. Some folks say it is hard to trust this staff. I say it is impossible. The win yesterday is great for us as fans but the same script that has been the problem was played out yesterday. Sark's offense once again stagnated and the team was sloppy. The middle of the field continued to be open and our DBs continued to fail to find the ball. The big difference was the WVU receivers dropped all the passes that other teams have been catching in the second half and their DBs failed to catch the interceptions. Texas needs to play the second half the way it does the first and we have yet to see it even yesterday. With all that said Beat the Hell out of OU and Hook'em and may Saturday be the day Texas puts together two great halfs.
  15. Thomas Brent Venables is not defined by the loss to k state but instead by the way he responded.
  16. It is 7:21 a.m. The day after a win and OU still sucks. Hook"em!
  17. On Texags they are saying he has embraced quiet quitting. I say it is not quiet at all. He is daring aggy to pay him his money.
  18. Fuck you sark for trying to throw deep on 2nd and 8 when it has not worked for three weeks
  19. So if we lose to OU not only will it piss me off like it has in recent years, now it will also be as embarrassing as losing to Tech.
  20. Is Venables calling the plays on defense? Maybe just like Sark they need 100% focus and could do as coordinators but now they got other tasks and it shows on their side of the ball.
