  1. instead of selling our tesla, we are engaged in political activism and fundraising for local candidates on the May ballot. plus supporting non-profit journalism, the only remaining free press in the US.
  2. I had this a year ago (2024 can get fucked) and so did my mom coming out of the hospital. Most thought it was RSV. Respiratory symptoms + fatigue but without flu like symptoms is classic RSV. My senior associate did this in Thailand but had some treatments / work done too.
  3. Wouldn’t it be great if a recession was all it took to break the fascist fever …?
  4. it was one of the greatest accomplishments of the Biden presidency along with NATO expansion, arguably a trilateral agreement with the "english speaking people" of the world is even bigger though, but hey the threat of world wide fascism is no worse than a funny little rash on our kids in west texas. besides, the old man stutters and refused to talk to us so fuck him, fuck his accomplishments, and fuck freedom. let's descend into the dark ages. at least you can still buy chinese made american flag painted truck nuts for your dodge ram, or can I say DOGE ram, amirite!!
  5. every free country in the world needs to isolate the US. trade war the fuck out of the US, make permanent decisions to reduce our influence and get on with it. Doesn't matter if this is temporary, we've proven we have the ability to recklessly slide into an autocratic, fascist, nazi-like position way to easily to be forgiven in 4 years. this is like being in a marriage and being cheated on and then being blamed for it. there's a path back, but not when your spouse cheats and then blames you. that's unforgivable. move on Europe. move on Australia, Japan, Canada, Mexico... bypass the US, don't fuck around with China they are in the running for the worst along with the US. Create a new coalition of the free, for the benefit of all freedom loving peoples across the world, including those still in the US.

Living in this hellscape right now pretty much sucks. This is getting so heavy to carry and it’s just getting started.
  7. How much better is lsu than the good guys? Looking forward to that weekend series coming up.
  8. Not really, LC is diagnosed by elimination. But you can try and treat it as LC - I didn’t suffer that condition. So I don’t know a lot but the stellate ganglion block is used and there is limited evidence to show it can work on some. I’d start there.
  9. Covid clinics treat Covid vaccine injury the same as they do long covid. The spike protein in some causes micro clots, one prominent theory for vax injury is the emulated spike protein in the mRNA vaccine causes micro clots. I don’t speak to the efficacy of mRNA technology but in this theory it’s not the technology, it’s the spike protein and it’s facsimile in the vaccine that causes problems for a small subset of individuals.
  10. Married in 1997 to a straight woman. Came out to her in 2002 and we both thought it would still work (she never said she was a lesbian), had kids starting in 2005, started therapy and transition in 2013, separated in 2015 when she said she just couldn’t do it, divorced in 2017. Started seeing my current wife in 2016, engaged during vaccine required travel, married in 2023.
  11. Such a bad team, let’s move on please.
  12. After the easy pickings of trans folk and brown people the next up are the olds. Only the extreme wealthy will have the resources to die with comfort and dignity. So trust your family, be uber wealthy or find somewhere else to grow old and die.
  13. I appreciated the dark humor, my ex works for a firm that has vax makers as a client group, goal is to increase adoption. She didn’t appreciate the joke as much as I did. I prefaced saying it was dark humor. I thought it was quite funny.
  14. Fun team to watch, finally.
  15. My guide says San Marcos is about all he can do right now without a lot of effort. I didn’t ask specifically about the Colorado tho. This was a convo about a month ago.

The transgender bathroom using thus coffee buying market is definitely worth pursuing.
  17. Same thing is said about tequila. I’ll never forget the first time I got my ex drunk on exquisite tequila she poured the bottle on my body and licked it off. Either you are a lover or a fighter on that stuff too. vodka is for Tiffany, her gay bff and hooligan dude bros that think it’s not gay so long as you don’t kiss or make eye contact. battle of Hastings …. Hmmm… I prefer corporate mogul or political elite - yes I embellish while drinking scotch. My “you know you’ve arrived when…” calculus has changed over the years ever increasing. I’ll spare the steps from early days to now (step one was I want a key ring with a lot of keys (I was probably 6 years old)) but now that I have the winter scene of a living room fire in a cozy modern lodge type lake house with distant views of the lights from the houses on the cliffs over looking the lake checked off, my next step is deniro’s office in zero day - standalone building, full living room, fire place, large desk to work from with a view of some sort where in the evenings after consulting as a senior advisor on some deal I can sip scotch out of a fancy crystal glass, bonus points if it has historical significance, triple bonus points if it’s near thanksgiving or Christmas and my sons are there smiling, telling stories, and laughing with me.

I’m taller than most men, not sure I’d be fucked with. but what I’ll probably do is avoid gendered restrooms in government buildings which is where it becomes a risk. Pee before you go, stop at Starbucks and buy shit to use theirs. Stuff like that.
  19. Your uncle sound like a swell guy. Oof
  20. Rum crushes my brain in a vice the next day. Bourbon makes me angry but maybe that’s because I was pissed off being in the wrong body and brain chemistry when I was imbibing back in the day. I do love an old fashion now. Scotch makes me feel sophisticated and accomplished especially if it’s a winter evening and I’ve got a fire going in the fireplace.
  21. No one knew what the emoluments clause was and plus “emoluments” is too hard to spell.
  22. I’m explaining it’s the only civilized way forward. I will not bet money it will happen. and yes my optimism is beautiful, it’s how I have gotten as far as I have in this life with a lot of cards stacked against me. Even still, I’m sober and pragmatic, ever vigilant of the threat. There is a high, high likelihood that we are applying for Mexican residency this summer when we return from SMA. What stands in the way is further self convincing it’s necessary and severing deep rooted ties to Texas and Austin, the grief will be astounding but my resiliency and optimism will lead the way.
