  1. 6.2” in my part of Comal County. It was loud. Wife was up all night.
  2. Unbelievable match. Sinner and Alcaraz are miles ahead of the field right now. I don't think you can any better all around athletes in the world than those two.
  3. This is pretty terrible, especially in a small town. My experience has been when kids are at grandmas house in small town this kind of thing is much more prevalent. Like the good old days. And It doesn’t really bother me when they tell me about it later.
  4. San Saba river predicted to peak just below flood stage San Saba River at San Saba
  5. This guy sounds like he was mentally ill, unstable for a long time. another neighbor denies sex has anything to do with it ‘I knew something was going to happen’: Woman captures video of an agitated Jonathan Joss just before his murder
  6. Just going through pros and cons because I misunderstood a post asking for nuance. I agree the law is black and white and they should be deported asap.
  7. As the kids would say fam, it's not that deep. Dad pulled some terrorist shit. I'll say politically and not religiously based because it's "nuanced". Was family politically radicalized? We don't know. The upside to letting them stay is you get an upstanding family of 5 citizens. The downside is you're wrong and there's problems down the road. They're also here under dishonest pretenses. Easy call. I'd like to see which countries would do otherwise.
  8. Actually, what seems medieval to me is firebombing innocent, unsuspecting people in a park. If you're visiting any country in the world and a close family member does that, I'm going to guess you will be escorted out. The ideology that Mr. Soliman espoused runs in the same stream as that which led to the worst terrorist attack against our country and causes conflict all over the globe. That's not the same as a drug kingpin's family. Thank you for the detailed explanation in both posts. Wait, I thought she came on a tourist visa?
  9. So from what I can gather, they overstayed their tourist visa then applied for asylum. It had not yet been granted, so their visas can be revoked. Security Concerns or Criminal Activity (8 CFR 214.1, INA Section 221(i)): A visa can be revoked if the visa holder or their family is deemed a threat to national security or public safety. In Soliman's case, he allegedly carried out a terrorist attack on June 1, 2025, in Boulder, Colorado. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the State Department, as reported on June 3, 2025, by outlets like The Guardian, revoked the family’s visas due to Soliman’s actions, likely under the suspicion that the family could pose a security risk or be complicit, though no public evidence confirms the latter. I don't know if we've done it before, but above is the likely justification.
  10. What's their exact status? Were they granted asylum? No lawyer, but I'm guessing if you're here under asylum and a family member carries out a terrorist attack then there is legal justification to remove you from our country. Seems pretty straightforward.
  11. The holocaust survivor that was injured will be relieved to learn that the attack had nothing to do with religion. phew Who were the victims of the Boulder Pearl Street Mall attack? | 9news.com
  12. One time my brother and I were hanging out at the Gallant Knight(?) in Houston and ended up taking MDMA with Scarface and his girlfriend. Very cool people. That’s all I’ve got.
  13. You have it right. Zone is a crutch that a lot of teams use. There will also be teams that just want to press the entire time. That's fine but that's not what good players and teams do long term.
  14. Sorry I missed this thread. I've spent a few years coaching my daughter's team made up of mostly her friends. I was forced into it when the guy that said he would, backed out and his daughter ghosted the team. We started in CYO at about 8-9 years old and I coached through our "graduation" to club basketball. It was a great experience, but we then played a couple teams that I realized the coaches REALLY knew what they were doing so I had my daughter join one. I realized I'm not Richard Williams or Earl Woods. Someone with more skill and time will have to lead her to the promised land. Lol. First of all, I would say you need to go over the Jr NBA website. Jr. NBA Homepage - NBA.com: Jr. NBA Pour over the practice plans to find drills you think they would benefit from. There's something for everything/everyone there. One thing I learned from these better coaches as we advanced was you need to focus early on the basic fundamentals. That sounds obvious but in the beginning I would try to vary how we worked on basic ball handling or passing etc every time. Really though the first portion of practice should be essentially identical. The same basic ball handling every time. However you line them up and do it. Then the later part of practice you can branch out into more movement drills that introduce concepts like screens, or moving without the ball. At that age getting more skilled is more important than coaching to win the game. I wouldn't waste much time on specific plays. The practice time is better utilized teaching how to play. Moving, pivoting, reacting. I also think it's important to keep a positive energy with the team at all times. The more the kids cheer on the bench, the better energy, the better it can go typically. I have a lot of thoughts and obviously devoted a lot of bandwidth to it, if you have more specific questions ask here or DM. Good luck!
  15. The Indiana/Dallas games will do big numbers. There’s definitely a bump in youth basketball participation since Caitlin hit the scene, so the interest and ratings should build over time. That said, it still pales in comparison to the numbers in youth volleyball, which is a total racket.
  16. My house was wrapped by a group of 8th grade boys last night. Didn’t know that ever happened anymore. I had to laugh as that was a peak 90s activity.
  17. Holy shit just saw replay of a good part of the Sinner/Ruud match. Sinner was playing about as well as someone could. Absolutely crushing the ball. Looked like he was playing a kid. Tommy Paul up next. Good luck.
  18. Awesome week for Peyton. Very tough mentally. Obviously she’s getting along well with her new coach. Girl has a heavy forehand. Up to 28 in live rankings.
  19. Holy cow. 19 posts a day for over 7 years. That might be a bot. What else could Keep up that level of activity?

  21. It's a shame. Poor ole Bill, sitting there with his hot 24 year old girlfriend enthusiastically blowing him, thinking "but what of my legacy?"
