  2. Christianity: we are gonna tell everyone it’s about love, but it’s really about hate. Let’s get deacon dickhead in here to tell us about how he loves the gays but he is happy his church is making sure they know their place.
  3. Top of the morning to you fuckface! Haha good seeing you man and glad you liked it.
  4. Give Wade’s BBQ in Lufkin a shot or Mimsy’s in Crockett.
  5. Maybe. But only the German Mexicans. Well, and the canelos too, because who can trust a ginger?
  6. Absolutely. But Abbott’s actions afterwards also should never be forgotten or forgiven.
  7. For most non Latino Texans, anyone south of the border is Mexican. They also believe that all of them look like mestizo. It would probably blow their tiny smooth brains if they knew there are millions of Asian Latinos.
  8. La Chinita’s was one of my grandmother’s favorite restaurants. Been around for quite some time.
  9. You left out no aggy and no rapelor. Those are my rules if my kids want me to pay for college.
  10. If that’s what he wants and does, I hope him the best. I’m being a bit selfish though, I think he can be a game changing role model at our university and hope he comes back to us. But bottom line, I want all the success and happiness he can get.
  11. I am hoping RoJo has a nice, fruitful career that doesn’t result in any brain trauma, then returns to UT in some capacity until he doesn’t want to anymore.
  12. Fuck yeah.
  13. Well, obviously, but like I was saying, just need one. And honestly, 95% of the time I order Bun (lemongrass beef or pork). In Houston you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting a hood Vietnamese place.
  14. Very cool. Second time I saw Faith No More was at the Unicorn. With Kyuss [emoji1598]
  15. Downtown SA is much prettier and more interesting than Houston. And yeah, the distance to Fulton is a draw. I guess that is why my grandfather bought a house there in the 60s. Real easy drive from SE San Antonio. I only need 2-3 good BBQ joints to survive. And one good Vietnamese (I’m assuming SA has one at least).
  16. In college I worked for a bit at Smoothie King. The owner once accused me of making phone calls to Brazil and running up a giant phone bill. This hits close to home.
  17. While SA is a large city, there are definitely fewer assholes in SA. Plus closer to the hill country yet still the same distance more or less to my folks in Fulton.
  18. Probably a ratsnake.
  19. Congrats. Father of two amazing girls. If you and/or your wife speak another language, really focus on teaching your kid learning it. One of my regrets is we haven’t been the best about that.
  20. Unfortunately, he is an American. Otherwise, sending to a Brazilian prison would be fun.
  21. Yep. I am guessing all the 35-50 year old posters on this site have seen his art, gif posters, album art and might not know it was Kozik. Plus QOTSA’s first album was released on his Man’s Ruin label. I kick myself for not buying that vinyl back in the day. Plus releases from Fu Manchu, Melvins, Unsane, Desert Sesssions (I do have a couple of them on vinyl) and many more.
  22. Damn, just found out he passed away on May 6th. He had a great influence on music, especially in the 1990s, whether as a graphic designer for gig posters and album art, or with his amazing label Man’s Ruin. He also lived in Austin for several years. http://www.frankkozik.net/about.html A bunch of his famous posters: https://kotaku.com/frank-kozik-rip-mans-ruin-poster-art-90s-nirvana-death-1850422269 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Kozik

So they are still around? Good to know. My brother and I used to hit it up regularly in the early 2000s. I think the last time I went was maybe 2013.

You could take the long way from Barton springs to disch via San Antonio. Then you wouldn’t have to eat some crap like Maudie’s.
  25. Here is a screen cap. Drunk deacon is Surly’s Ted Cruz. I bet his wife and kids secretly hate him.
