  1. They avoid rematches if they can so it would probably be the semis. A&M isn’t making the semis.
  2. I get wanting national and conference diversity in the playoff bids but schedule parity is a fucking joke. It’s a major fucking problem. none of us know what’s going to happen. So many stated values of the committee are as odds with each other in those last few slots.
  3. all current discussions assume ACC is a one bid league. I'm not going to talk about the committee possibly looking to get 2 from the ACC (or Big 12 which has fucked up its chances) because it induces rage in some posters.
  4. there were two possible paths today - total mayhem or the Replacement Theory (Great Hornsby espoused). we are likely down to just the Replacement Theory. both required Michigan losing. check. the first required Miami to lose among others, not happening, at least not fully (BYU, Vandy and Miami). the second - the replacement theory - just requires one more loss - Bama or OU. there's the hybrid - BYU loses, we already vault ahead of Utah, and Vandy loses. That puts us at 12 and then OU/Bama lose and we take their place. hopefully we get to find out if the SEC is a 5 bid league this year, regardless. Go Tigers, Go War Eagle....
  5. this shit wasn't even true before the game. anyone paying attention knows Reed is good at RPO and improvising. he's a terrible drop back passer.
  6. yeah beating A&M at Kyle is different but beautiful nonetheless.
  7. 100% and I would add the great instate rivalries are something else too. I could be wrong but are Michiganders moving to Ohio and are Ohioans moving to Michigan? Just last night we had to win so that hundreds of people around us don't "golly gee" talk shit to us about the superiority of Texas Fighting A&M Aggies for a year. jesus christ talk about high stakes. does MI/Oh St have that intermingling as much? I could see it in Chicago but that's a massive city with folks from everywhere. Are you really rolling around in Flint or the upper peninsula with Ohio State fans all around?
  8. I get that, I'm not dogging it and get it's a top 5. but it's always hands down #1 I just don't get it, but again the cold and snow is legit.
  9. I'll admit I don't see how this is the best rivarly in CFB but the snow falling in the background is making this next level.
  10. I'm an optimist I'm hoping the light came on for sark a bit - the OU/Miss St/Vandy/Arky games where he put Arch in a position to succeed (only Vandy and Arky were complete games) and then with little working in M2M coverage in the first half he saw Wisner balling out and he leaned heavily on that in the second half which seemed counter tendency to Sark. my optimism is that he's learned something here. don't be so god damned dogmatic and take what they give and scheme for your players not force them to run your brilliant scheme. i'll admit the first series was as stupid as forest gump but he made adjustments. here's to hoping if he does stay next year that he portals well and he stays with what works.
  11. I think Utah is toast, but Vandy and Miami are done only Bama or OU loses. that's the swap-a-roo theory you espouse. if Bama or OU win, Texas will be kept far away from the field to insulate.
  12. tOSU about to pull away with it.
  13. our thanksgiving was low key given the kids are almost grown and weren't with us this week, but damn if this game wasn't on my mind for DAYS and it made for a great thanksgiving weekend. love having this game back.
  14. room temperature IQ idiot - nice try. I could run circles around your fat ass both literally and intellectually and by any other metric you decide. Your post isn't even consistent with your prior positions. you were all worried about Georgia Tech and Miami. now it's SEC gets five, it's a done deal. Great Hornsby outlined that well, without acting like a fucking fool and I acknowledged it has legit merit in a room with competing interests which you can't even begin to acknowledge are at play here. You throw shit on the wall with blunt criticisms of your strawman poster calling this mysterious poster a dipshit or a dumbass and then you vomit on the board. you were either bullied as a kid who has now turned into the internet tough guy or you were always the playground bully, either way, you're nothing but an internets champion. congrats my man, you deserve it.
  15. what a move wow
  16. well if we decline the bowl, season ended last night, posting privileges reinstated. who is the smart guy now?
  17. you nailed it and the weekend isn't even over? it's a 50/50 there is 5 from the SEC if Bama or OU loses, it's a credible position but you nailed nothing except your fat dick rubbing one out to your own posts. you throw out conclusions in advance with the volume of a hyena and the conviction of a toddler. you're going to be right sometimes based just on sheer volume of your predictions and the odds.
  18. Yo dog, why did you disagree with me then agree with me. Yes the report was enraging because of its conclusions. If that was your closing argument I’d look at you funny and side with your opponent. Do better counselor.
  19. your absolutes are exhausting, and juvenile. That assumes SEC is an auto five bid league and keep reading I acknowledge that as a possibility.
  20. The goal was pick the best two. There was no issue about inclusion of conferences, or this league got this many or what about the G5 or auto qualifiers for dick teams, or schedule parity, etc. the question of who are the best two had its problems but the way CFP is dredging up questions about what matters for the sport at the end of the season is much more complex and controversial. if you are referring to 1 vs 2 leaving out 3 versus 1-12 and leaving out 13-15 then yes the playoffs are an improvement.
  21. #6 (see above) if we are included Ohio State and Georgia get a plus 1 and OU and A&M get a -1. we land at 6 based solely on records against the top 13 (with texas included in the current top 12).
  22. Top 12? ok. add Texas for shit and giggles (make it 13) Ohio State 1-0 Indiana 1-0 Tech 1-0 Miami 1-0 Georgia 2-1 Texas 2-2 A&M 1-1 Alabama 1-1 Ole Miss 1-1 OU 1-2 Oregon 0-1 BYU 0-1 Notre Dame 0-2 Texas played more and ended up .500, 4 teams with a losing record against that bunch. some teams only 1 team in the top 12.
  23. this CFP selection process has shown more problems with college football than the BCS ever did.
