Yeah, some people dig up their spring tomatoes and plant a new crop of fall tomatoes. 

Not me, though. It's hot and I'm lazy. If the plants survive, I'll get fall tomatoes.

I am taking my first shot at starting new fall tomato plants from sucker cuttings.  I've got several cuttings from the two plants that were most prolific for me in the spring - Matt's Wild Cherry and JD’s Special C-Tex (Texas Early Black).  I'm told that if they root/take, they will produce as soon as temps fall into the range, without having to wait the stated number of days from transplant to production as for new plants.  We'll see....

Another pepper haul. Poblanos going hard in the late summer heat. I've never grown Cayenne before but this one little plant is cranking them out. Been dicing them up and cooking with them. Adds good spice to any meal.

All these cherry tomatoes from one plant. Pulling a handful every day.
