1. That's fake right? There's no way an attorney sent that to the Attorney General and cc'd Congress......and thinks that will secure a meeting
2. Good luck to you @Brothahorn. You've shown your true identity and I no longer need to waste my time with you.
3. That's interesting @Brothahorn I didn't vote for him either time as well. But right now, looking back he's in my opinion the best President in my lifetime. I'm 50 years old. I reluctantly admit I voted for Trump back in 2016. While I will forever feel shame for enabling that piece of shit, it did open my eyes to what the GOP stands for. Unfortunately, the GOP has realized their days are numbered as a political force and they are fine with embracing a culture of fascism to remain in power. If Obama could run again, I'd cast my vote for him today.
4. Hey @Brothahorn I'm curious did you vote for Obama? First term or second? I'm interested in your reply.
5. Yet Brothahorn here you are despite your experience, you are supporting a party that is out right willing to suppress your rights based upon your skin color, sexual orientation and coming soon religious beliefs.
6. So Tucker has lost the taste for mushroom flavored dick? Publicly, I mean Tucker no longer is obligated to suck mushroom dick. He probably has grown accustomed to how it makes him feel validated.
7. Wait? Did he move them out of the pedophile pizza joint? Guess that place was attracting too much heat.
8. So @Brothahorn you want to try and tackle some other fascist ideas of Desantis/and/or the GOP? What's your thought on state government deciding what medical care should be available?
9. No I do disagree. I grew up under a republican/conservative house. There is a distinct difference, and it is even more obvious today.
10. Hate to break it to you @Brothahorn but you're supporting a white supremacist. The GOP is the party of racism today. Deep down you know it.
11. @Brothahorn you're not making a strong defense of Desantis if the best defense you can come up with is from a Facebook post. I'd suggest walking in the shoes of the ones Desantis is trying to "quiet" before getting down on your knees to blow him.
12. I'm not always the best with words, but these two posts complete my thoughts on Desantis and those who support him. Props to you both.
13. Not "anti-anything'? Really? Do you live in Texas, because you'll probably love my follow up question.
14. Sorry you live under a rock. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two years into a surge of book bans across the United States, Florida is a hot spot in the clash over what reading material is appropriate for children, with laws that have greatly expanded the state’s ability to restrict books. Historically, books were challenged one at a time. As bans in schools and libraries began increasing nationally in 2021, efforts were largely local, led by a parent or a group. But over the past year, access to books, particularly those touching on race, gender or sexual orientation, became increasingly politicized. With that came an increase in legislation and regulations in some states and school districts that affected which books libraries could offer. The shift is particularly evident in Florida, where Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican-controlled Legislature and a rapidly growing network of conservative groups aligned to pass three state laws last year aimed, at least in part, at reading or educational materials. Among the books removed from circulation in one of the state’s school districts are Toni Morrison’s “Beloved,” and Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Proponents of the restrictions say their aims are to protect students from inappropriate materials and to give parents more control over their children’s education. In focusing on “parents’ rights,” Mr. DeSantis is trying to build on the popularity he amassed when he resisted Covid-19 restrictions, particularly in schools. The push is a signature part of the conservatism he is showcasing in Florida. His Parental Rights in Education law, for example, constrains instruction on gender and sexuality, which has led some districts to remove books with L.G.B.T.Q. characters. Some teachers and librarians say the policies are vague, with imprecise language and broad requirements, leading to some confusion. But they are trying to comply. Violation of the law could be a third-degree felony; in general, such crimes are punishable by up to five years in prison In January, when the new guidelines went into effect, some teachers removed or covered up books that had not been vetted by certified media specialists, whose approval is now legally required. Others are not ordering titles that could draw complaints. Some educators emptied shelves or pulled collections until the titles could be reassessed.
15. Should I start with banning books? Or are you more of an anti-trans/homophobe? Or if that's too embarrassing, we can knock out Desantis using his political office to punish companies who speak out against him or push back on his policies? Hell we can even dive into his latest legislation to dumb down Florida education. Your call.
16. Interesting. Is it his fascist ideas that you lean with, or his masculinity and stylish white boots that you're drawn too?
17. Are you under the belief that the country would be better off under Desantis?
18. "would you say I have a plethora of indictments?"
19. Hold on. Did Pete Davidson get a boob job?
20. Joe will always be a better option than Trump. This isn't even a debate. Is Joe the best candidate for 2024? That is debatable. His age is a factor. I'd prefer a much younger candidate, but I'm pleased with where we are today as a country, so he gets the benefit of the doubt currently. It really comes down to the policies of the party we want to represent our country. Right now, the GOP is heavily leaning toward fascism and/or a theocracy ruling party. That's not what our country is.
21. I hear you @Gil Bang You're free to go back and look up my history on this site, though I'll save you the trouble. Long story......even longer than needed. I was initially influenced by Reagan as I was raised under a conservative household. In high school I was an intern with my Congressman Bill Archer ®. Appointed by Congressman Archer to a U.S. Service Academy, served as an officer in the USNR. At this time late 90's.I was still very "pro conservative/republican" I was a long time listener to AM talk radio (Rush/Hannity/Beck) in the mid 2000's. I really started questioning what I was listening to. During the Obama years I had a come to "Jesus" moment. What Rush et all were preaching on the radio was not what I was experiencing in real life. However, at this point I had been pretty brainwashed to be anti-Hillary. Fuck me. I'm willing to admit that I did vote for Trump in 2016. I did have some reluctance, as I did get a very strong "piece of shit" vibe from him. However, I convinced myself that the "weight" of the Office of The President of The United States would reel him in...............fuck me! Good news is, my mistake has opened me up to what the GOP really is. My mantra since then has to never vote for any republican/conservative who ever supported Trump. I'm happy to say I've been proactively campaigning for democrats in my district since six months after the 2016 election. Long story short. Fuck Trump! People are capable of change, they just need to be able to admit they fucked up.
